Hunt’s Photo & Video

This specific Hunts location is the reason why it’s so important to support your local camera shop. The staff is incredibly helpful and not pushy at all. I shoot weddings for a living and can say with comfort that I am always 100% confident that they will come through with special orders as well as honor their warranty policies. Everyone at this store is top notch and the reason I do not order my gear online.

I purchased my Canon rebel film camera ages ago in the Melrose store and had great service back then. I had wanted to take the plunge into digital SLR’s but had to wait until they were more reasonable. I saved my money and decided to buy from Hunts once again. Happy to see they have opened more stores I went to the Hanover location which is the easiest for me to get to. I took my 6 year old with me because of a previous post letting me know there was a train table in the store. A great feature if you have your kids with you. I knew exactly what model I wanted and as it turned out someone had just traded one in about an hour before I got there. They offered the used camera to me for $ 200 less than new but there wasn’t any pressure.
They let me play around with it and allowed me to take my time. The used camera was in such great shape I just couldn’t pass it up and wound up getting a telephoto lens with the money I saved. I will go to Hunt’s again for my photography needs. So much nicer to be able to touch and feel in person than buying off of the Internet.
PS there is also a game stop in the same strip mall so be warned if you do take your kids. That was the first thing my son said when we pulled up.

I recently stopped in here and bought a point and shoot for my wife. I’m a camera nut so I like to go to photo shops in order to get the right thing. I’ve frequented their other stores and always get great help when I’m there. One thing that I loved about this store is they have a ‘train table’ for kids. Its a low table with toy trains kids can use when Dad is shopping. I have no idea why every store in the world doesn’t do the same thing.
