Came here on Mother’s Day for brunch. Service was good, but the food did take a little while to come out. All the food we ordered was very good! Overall, we really enjoyed this place and everyone agreed it was somewhere we would return to!

This review is solely for brunch, as I have dined several times for dinner and absolutely loved it The brunch menu is not extensive and overpriced and poorly constructed in my opinion. Usually when a brunch option does not include a side item, French toast for example, you can expect to get a hearty portion. NOTHERE. The vanilla french toast was made with regular size sandwich bread, I mean can we atleast get Texas toast thickness !!! Luckily for me I wanted to try brunch here badly so I ordered sides with my meal The home frie potatoes had the potential to be really tasty but were hard and overlooked. Eggs– not sure if these are real eggs but they weren’t anything special. I’ve had better at ihop All of our food came out lukewarm and that was annoying because breakfast entrees don’t take long to make. The omelette with crab imperial was basic, my husband enjoyed it but my husband also loves boxed Mac and cheese so that gives you an idea about his taste buds. Our bill was $ 69 for two adults and two children and we didn’t feel like we ate a $ 69 type meal. Overall I will not return for brunch. There are too many excellent brunch spots to indulge such mediocracy I hope they improve because I love Grillfire and I would love to LOVE their brunch too! It’s tucked away and I’ve never seen it overcrowded which I like.

So all this time I have been itching to give Grillfire a try because I love seeing what these celebrity chefs with their reputations on the line bring to a restaurant concept. Turns out I was getting George Martin mixed up with George Mendes. Grillfire is a beautiful restaurant attached to a beautiful hotel located just far enough away from Arundel Mills that you can avoid the insanity of the mall entirely if you so choose. There is some street parking in the condo/business park out front, but plenty in the easily accessed parking garage. We were recently at a Canadian steakhouse, so felt compelled to order the Cajun Poutine appetizer to share with the table. Normally I am pretty unimpressed with French fries with gravy and cheese, but this interpretation of the dish was amazing. Instead of French fries, they used butterflied potatoes, and the Cajun heat supplied in part by Andouille sausage really elevated the dish. They really out-Canadaed Canada and we all really enjoyed it. Alas, the rest of our meal was entirely average. My Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly, incredibly tender and treated exactly how it should be. But it had such mild seasoning as to be completely bland on its own. It matched well with the ramekin of provided barbecue sauce, but a great steak shouldn’t need anything. My wife ordered the Pepper Smoked Beef Brisket, and was phenomenally disappointed. At a steakhouse, with so many barbecue options, we expected the brisket to be thick and tender with a lovely smoke ring around the edge. Instead it came out entirely pink, thin, and tough, as if it was a piece of corned beef. It was actually tasty enough, but not what we were expecting nor would we have ever ordered it. They should have a better description in their menu. So this place is okay, it just should be better.

My kids and I went to Grillfire for dinner tonight. This is my 4th time eating at Grillfire and I can tell you that each time the food has been good — sometimes average and sometimes above average. The restaurant is well appointed and the staff provides good service, although they don’t seem to introduce themselves or carry on any discussion with the customers. I’m not asking for them to deliver a dissertation defense or anything, but a «hi, how are you guys doing today — thanks for coming to Grillfire — my name is „so and so“ — I’ll be taking care of you tonight — Would you mind if I point out a couple of specials or things that I personally like». Those things go a long way for me and make it easier to enjoy the place even more. I order the GM Burger and asked for it to be cooked Medium. It was well done. The French Fries were decent and my kids finished off their meals all the way. The cotton candy was a nice surprise — my kids loved that of course! The price was not bad considering the food they serve, their location, and their high level of décor. I think if the staff turned it up another notch and the food was cooked exactly to order, this restaurant would have even better reviews.

I really like this place. It has a gown up feeling without being stuffy. Staff is great, and their signature cotton candy dessert is so cute and quirky!

George Martin’s Grillfire was Plan B for a dinner with my brother and my cousin’s family(Vivo next door was closed). We sat down for dinner around 7PM and left around 10 or 10:30PM. Even with a 9 month old in tow, our server was extremely kind and attentive to us, stopping by our table a few minutes after we ordered something new or another round of drinks. I ordered the Sunday three-course dinner(appetizer/salad, entrée and dessert). The beet and bleu salad was dressed well, came with sugar beets as well as regular beets, and topped with walnuts. I usually hate bleu cheese but this salad was tolerable and the bleu cheese was kept to a nice minimum. To share, my whole table split a dish of stir-fried brussels sprouts. These were a nice appetizer but would’ve tasted better as a side, as they were a little on the salty side. Next I ordered a half rack of ribs(hey, it’s a grill and bar) Though I may be small, my appetite can sometimes be mighty. I finished virtually everything on my plate and everything tasted fine but nothing stellar. The ribs were moist and tender but most likely cooked the day before and reheated. They lacked the fire/char-grilled taste that I was hoping for. I finished my meal with the chocolate torte(flour-less chocolate fudgey cake) served with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. This place isn’t known for their dessert, so stick to the meats n sides. I also sipped on one Jameson and ginger, which tasted a little watered down as soon as it arrived at my table. It’s not that the ice melted prior to making it to my table, but maybe the bottle of Jame had been sitting out for a bit. Protip: nearby residents of the Palisades receive 15 or 20% off with presentation of their residential card or proof of residence. George Martin’s Grillfire is a decent restaurant to visit if you wish to catch up with friends over a few drinks but do not expect anything out of this world with the food.

Nice little spot away from the business of Arundel mills. It’s very cozy and quite. The drinks are potent enough that you only need one if a simple buzz is all your looking for. The food has a very clean presentation. Three egged omelet for for brunch is a great pick. You can pick two items to place in your omelet. You can select a cheese, a meat or veggies. The omelet is super fluffy and comes with your choice of home fries or fresh fruit. I opt to wash my food down with a Spiked lemonade, very tasty.

Enjoyed this place a lot. I have had dinner here! The ribs are yummy. I also recommend checking out their happy hour as the drinks are great also the grilled mesquite wings are great along with the dynamite shrimp! It’s also a great atmosphere and never too packed and you can usually get in for a great happy our experience !

Food was good but not friendly and poor service I had been there 3 times. After 2 years later, recently I went there with my sister family and parents but service was not changed.(Actually I wanted go cheesecake factory but had to wait over an hour, couldn’t wait with a 17 month old baby.) Still same poor service. Ex. I had to wait and call the other server to get the silverware after 15 – 20 minutes we got our foods. However our server didn’t apologize about that. The Hotel wants to get the highest level, the restaurant has to change the service. I JUSTGAVE the 3 stars for the food

It’s a little hard to find, but it is in first floor of The Hotel complex. I really liked the design and ambiance of the place. Service was above average. Bathrooms were clean too. The food was average I think though. My wife got a steak sandwich, but mentioned the meat was very dry and the fries were too covered with cheese(you could not taste the potato!). That being said, I had a country friend chicken breast, and felt it was a quite delicious, and were the side of smashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. So, its tough to judge about the consistency of the food with only one meal here. I would give this restaurant another try. One thing that is nice is that it is not super busy at weekend nights(I think most people are at the mall area), so its a good place to swing by for a late dinner.

Went for New Years Eve. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. We were a little disappointed that they had a very limited«special New Year’s Eve menu.» Most of the dishes involved some sort of seafood which is hard when you have someone who doesn’t like seafood. I thought that the shrimp and scallop Alfredo was pretty tasty and a large portion. The filet was pretty flavorless and disappointing, especially for an entrée that costs $ 46. The cotton candy with the check was the most exciting part. It was an average dinner but pricey for an average dinner so I don’t expect I’ll head back.

This was my second visit to Grillfire. The last was about a year ago. Let me tell you, the quality of the food has declined. I opted for the marinated beef tenderloin sandwich. It lacked flavor and the meat was a little tough and dry. Such a disappointment. Good thing we ordered the chili pop shrimp… you know, the shrimp that are very Bonefish Grill Banng Bang Shrimp-esque? Yep, those… they were pretty good. Definitely had a big kick. The one saving grace was our waiter. He was super friendly and gave endless information and suggestions with the menu. Even though the restaurant was a little busy, he still took the time to make our experience personal. I really do wish that the quality of the food hadn’t gone down because Grillfire offers the everyday professional somewhat of a weekday sanctuary. I like they way the architects built the connection between the restaurant and the hotel… it’s very rustic chic. Is that a thing? Well, anyway, I like it! Hmmm…maybe some other time, Grillfire.

Sometimes i choose restaurants based on the appetizer menu and I saw crab brie pretzel bites and was sold. Well I went for lunch and then actually didn’t even end up getting the crab brie pretzel bites as an app, but the guacamole. I wasn’t disappointed though because it was fantastic! The multi colored tortilla chips were great and formidable enough for the chunkiness and creaminess of the guac. I love going to steakhouse and getting salads bc they never skimp you on the salad. I ordered the grillfire Cobb salad and it was good, however they put too much blue cheese in the salad and I could tell the corn was canned so I wasn’t a huge fan of that. But Other than that everything was good. My friend got the lobster mac and cheese which also comes with avocado, crab and bread crumbs on top… so in case you worried about not filling your fat requirements for the day… order this. It looked absolutely amazing. Another friend got a sliced beef sandwich and it came with parmesan encrusted fries and those fries… so perfect… They also have very clean bathrooms. I would be back and I recommend this place.

I came here with my team for a business dinner a couple nights ago, as we had heard from our other colleagues that they had postiive experiences. The server started the table with some cheese-filled bread, a nice change from a standard loaf. I started with the house merlot and led in with a caesar salad. I ordered the cajun swordfish as my main course, which was served with diced sweet potatoes and pieces of crab. The swordfish was cooked to perfection, melting in your mouth. It was also well seasoned and not too spicy. The wait staff was pleasant, it was pretty packed for a Wednesday evening, but they were able to accommodate a table of four within 10 minutes. Can’t wait to try another part of the menu during our next visit — Best, Charlie

Some of the best Brussels sprouts on the happy hour menu I’ve ever tasted. They had The perfect sweet and spicy kick. Loved the sweet chili grilled wings and really enjoyed the turkey chili nachos. I also really enjoyed the steamed shrimp and pecan pie. Dominique was an awesome bartender during the happy hour we attended and she poured us some great drinks with a good kick. I would go back to see her but would pass on the oysters on the half shell as ours appeared to have been sitting out and were kinda dry and unappetizing looking. Dominique made sure they were comped from our bill and brought us out fresh and hot Brussels sprouts when we received our first batch kinda cold. I’ll be back for happy hour.

We like the ambiance, the décor, and the staffs. My brisket with grits was better than Mother’s grits n’ shrimps. Not a fan yet, but I am confidence that when we go back, we like it again.

We came here last night with a party of 8 to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday. We chose Grillfire because it was easy to get to, there’s ample free parking, and it’s super close to Maryland Live! Casino, which is great for after dinner. Otherwise I heard a lot of mediocre reviews and actually didn’t love George Martin’s other restaurant, Vivo, so I was apprehensive. Ultimately, I thought the food was surprisingly good! They start by bringing out bread for the table, which is sliced with melted cheese in between. Since I love pretty much cheese anything I really enjoyed this… actually, it seemed like we all did. We didn’t order any apps, but a lot of people ordered the starter caesar salad. Know this: it comes with ground up pieces of anchovy. If you aren’t into a caesar salad heavy on the fish then you may want to think twice before ordering. And then the entrée… I bucked the trend. It’s a very meat heavy restaurant. There are many different cuts of steak and I tried a bite of someone’s bison short rib, which was flavorful(though maybe a bit chewy). But, surprisingly, both my fiancé and I opted for pasta dishes. He ordered the«Over the Top Mac and Cheese», which comes with bacon, crab, tortilla strips, and avocado(it also usually comes with sour cream but he asked them to hold on that). He LOVED it and said there was a ton of lump crab meat. And I think he ordered it right… I’m not sure that such a heavy and creamy dish really needed the sour cream, as well. It’s almost like how many creamy, high calorie components can they include in one dish? I, on the other hand, ordered the fettuccine which came in a sauce made with light chardonnay, asiago and tomato cream. It also comes with scallops and shrimp mixed in, though I asked for all shrimp. It was pretty awesome. The best pasta dish of my life? No, not at all. But it was creamy and cheesy and had a kick of spice, and the shrimp was really well cooked. I enjoyed it quite a lot. And it’s funny that I liked this so much when I didn’t like Martin’s Italian restaurant nearly as much. It’s probably a dish that gets overlooked on the menu because the restaurant is so meat and potato heavy, but give this some consideration! I also ordered a pretty awesome drink, the black cherry whiskey sour. It’s exactly what the name would suggest — black cherry flavored whiskey, sour mix and a cherry. If you like whiskey you can’t really go wrong with this… it’s sweet and sour and strong. My sister ordered the sunshine squeeze at the recommendation of the waiter, which is made with Bacardi dragon berry rum, agave and lemon. And it was SOSOUR it was almost undrinkable. It was like a liquified warhead and my sister in her mid-20’s got heartburn almost immediately. Yikes. Speaking of the waiter… there is room for improvement. He was clearly not happy to be working and wasn’t even particularly nice. He wasn’t able to read the table so he interjected in our conversations to try to take our order when it was obvious that we weren’t ready. He asked if we wanted dessert and then when a couple of us said no thanks and a few others were still deciding he seemed to have gotten fed up and walked away. He did bring out a free birthday dessert to my fiancé(a brownie sundae with a candle in it) but he walked right behind him so my fiancé didn’t even see what was happening and it was super awkward. He didn’t even sing happy birthday and everyone at the table just kind of looked around at each other to decide what to do next. Overall the waiter was just on the rude side. The brownie sundae was good, though nothing special. And every meal is concluded with a big ol thing of pink cotton candy for the table, which is cool.(I didn’t get to take a photo of that but it looks like lots of other people did!) Also the check included automatic gratuity and there was a separate gratuity for food and then alcohol. Below that they put the tax, and then they include the service charge, which is just the food and alcohol gratuity added together. A little clarification there would have been nice. Be warned, or you could easily accidentally overpay. Come here for the food — nothing to knock your socks off, but a good, dependable, hearty meal near the casino. And come for complimentary cotton candy! I don’t think this is a place that is known for good customer service, though.

This establishment has gone way downhill. I believe it’s their entire staff in which makes this place fail at even the simplest restaurant mannerisms. Their food is the worst; simple eggs are served incorrectly, bacon burned to a complete crisp, ham served with fat chunks, mimosas that taste like buttered champagne, omelettes that have pieces of veggies that weren’t even in the menus description and horrible waiting service are just a few failures I have witnessed and experienced on my visits. There’s other places that are way better: If you want a great brunch go to Xiomate, if you want a great happy hour go to Stained Glass Pub and if you want a great dinner for a reasonable price go to Long Horn.

I’ve come here a couple times and have had good experiences but this last time was just awful. My boyfriend and I wanted to try something other than our usual Denny’s breakfast so we decided to go to Grillfire. We both ordered the two eggs, bacon/sausage, and breakfast potatoes meal. I got a coffee and he got an orange juice. The only good thing about this meal was his orange juice. The coffee was disgusting and the creamer and sugar couldn’t even cover up the nasty taste. I couldn’t even drink it. Our meals were a different story. The potatoes were burnt. The bacon and sausage should never have came on our plate looking like they did. The eggs were just mediocre. I could’ve made better. Not only was our food bad we never had a steady waiter. The hostess sat us and also took our order. Some other person delivered our food and a completely new person gave us our check. Not once did they ask how our food was and how we were doing. Terrible customer service. There will be no coming back to grillfire. It’s such a shame too because I did like their loaded mac n cheese. I DONOTRECOMMENDTHISRESTAURANT. Drive down the street to Olive Garden or the Greene Turtle.

Pretty decent! The customer service was excellent! Our waiter was really great, offered good food suggestions, and highly attentive. The food: we ordered the Brussels sprouts appetizer(great but spicy), scallops and filet(filet was good but the scallops weren’t the greatest), mushrooms(great taste and portion size), oyster appetizer(very good), bourbon pecan pie(not good, was removed from check), and the brownie sundae(average tasting brownie and overpriced at $ 9). The comp bread and cotton candy were very good as well! With all that being said, I’d come back.
