Just got my first three tattoos at black lotus from Dan. Had the best experience! Dan was sweet, professional, careful but efficient with his work. He made just enough friendly convo to make me feel at ease but not pressured to talk the whole time since I was nervous enough getting my first tattoos. He made a newbie like me feel so comfortable. And I love the final results. I was nervous because I wanted three small tattoos that were minimal and understated and most of the artwork in the gallery is pretty colorful and elaborate. Recently I decided to start on a sleeve containing images from the Walking Dead. I googled Black and Grey tattoo artists in Baltimore, and Lydia Bruno’s name came up. I emailed to ask if she was taking consultations, since she’s kind of famous for being on Ink Master Season 4. She immediately emailed me back and was excited to tattoo the little girl from the gas station scene.
Black Lotus is the nicest tattoo shop/​gallery that I’ve ever been in. The staff are so friendly and helpful, and Lydia knocked my tattoo out of the park! My next appointment isn’t until March, but I can’t wait to go back and continue the Walking Dead stuff with Lydia, and get started on my Avengers or X-​men full leg sleeve with Halo. I can’t say enough good things about Black Lotus Tattoo Gallery. Highly recommended!

Yesterday I went in for my first piercing, two surface clavicles. I had never even been in a tattoo parlor so I was nervous but the place has a good atmosphere, classy, and the receptionist Melissa was very sweet. My consultation with Mr. Bones was beyond what I expected. He was knowledgeable, professional and reassuring. He took extra time to mark me up properly so that we were both happy. I appreciated that he is OCD about it especially since he is not the one who has to walk around with them. He had several people waiting after me but never made me feel rushed. He made sure I had his undivided attention and got all my questions answered. I LOVE the job he did and this was such a great first experience, I am considering more in the future. I highly recommend Matty Bones in particular.

Black Lotus has so many talented artists, and I’m definitely a «for life» client of theirs. I’ve purchased jewelry from Matt, had a large tattoo removed by Kat, and then got that spot covered up by Merv with a beautiful new tattoo. All of the artists are crazy talented and I love how different their styles are. I’ll be getting tattooed by Merv again in the future, and also would love to be tattooed by Halo and Jackie as well. The atmosphere rocks, the people are awesome, there’s no place better.

I just got three piercings here at Black Lotus over the weekend. I had a phenomenal experience, start to finish. The receptionist is welcoming and attentive, answers all your questions, and asks you all the right questions to help you get checked in and started. The lobby is very comfortable, and there’s so much amazing art on the wall to occupy your nervous brain while waiting to get your piercing/​tattoo.
The piercing artist, Matt, was very professional. I felt at ease throughout my piercing process. Even though I have multiple, various piercings, I still get a bit nervous, but he did well to quell my anxieties and make me comfortable. He was great at communicating to me what he was doing, and what I needed to be doing, and answering my questions. Matt is very skilled– the transition between needle, taper, and jewelry was fast, smooth, and seamless. If you’ve been pierced before, you know what I mean when I say that sometimes that process can feel like you’re getting tugged around a bit. Not so with Matt. Piercing takes place inside a room with a door that can be closed for extra privacy.
Matt offers high quality titanium jewelry in a variety of colors and styles, and provides you with thorough, easy-​to-​follow aftercare instructions and supplies. I walked out of Black Lotus feeling like a queen with my new jewelry. And all my piercings feel really good, just one day after.

I absolutely LOVE this shop! All of the artists are phenomenal and the front desk personnel are super friendly. Viking Body Modification has a room for body piercings too. I will only come here from now on, not only for my tattoos but I only trust Matt with any body piercings I have gotten so far. My advice? Only come here!
