Go see Gary in Dino’s Foods section. I am a fan of the chicken, rice, jalapeño, and onions. Excellent flavor and great value. I have not tried the carnitas yet but will be soon. In my opinion the rice in a mexican restaurant tell the story. It is quality here like everything else here. On par with Los Fernandez in Elmhurst — that says it all.

We come for the lomo and arracherra. Also that resto in the back serves awesome food. Prices are very reasonable and the customer service is excellent.

Dino’s advertises regularly in the bulk mail you receive if you live in the area. The best deals that they offer are on fresh produce on select items. I do the bulk of my fruits and veggies shopping at Caputo’s(see my profile for full reviews of their stores in this area), as their prices and selection on a majority of items can’t be beat. However, from time to time Dino’s does offer some solid door-buster deals such as 25 limes for $ 1 or two avocados for a dollar. When these big sales hit, it is a good time to stock up and take advantage. Browsing the rest of the store, they do have a liquor area, a deli and aisles for household products, canned goods and so forth. The prices tend to be higher than elsewhere, so I’ve always taken a pass. They do also have a money order and check cashing station inside the store. As noted by the previous reviewer, the ladies who man the registers speak poor or no English. Although they have been pleasant, the language barrier can be an issue if a mistake or question arises. Shop here for the sales, but find better prices elsewhere for almost everything else.

Yes, this place is a grocery store. However in the rear right they have a little kitchen area and serve food. They have REALLY good tamales. They are .50 cents each and come in Chicken or Beef. Sometimes they have a special 12 for $ 5. It is a great alternative to pizza when you want a quick meal. I have also had Champurrado(like hot chocolate but better!). It is very tasty on a cold winter day. Everything is available to take home, but you could eat it there on the little standing tables they have. Brush up on your Spanish as the ladies may not speak English. There is a man who does speak both sometimes.
