Just stopped in for a drinks and apps. First off had to wait to be seated nobody was their to seat us so we seated ourselves. We ordered bloodymarries, onion rings and a side of sweet potato fries. The drinks were ok, the fries ok but the onion rings were disgusting I think they were left over from the night before and reheated… gross. this place sure has gone downhill.

Just popped in for a bloody Mary and an app, this is our 3rd or fourth time and haven’t really liked the food, but the drinks were good. Seemed to be a clickish crowd. Felt like an outsider.

The warm feta dip is great, as is the lamb burger. YUM! The bakery is excellent and has been our go-to for cakes and treats for years. It’s a wonderful establishment and one of Hampton’s best restaurants.

Went here for dinner last night. The food was decent. Had the warm feta dip as an appetizer that was excellent. The buffalo tenders had amazing sauce, but we’re more like chicken cutlets rather than tenders, which I wasn’t the happiest with. My dad had the seafood risotto which he said was good, but not remarkably so. Nice atmosphere and attentive waitress.

We recently tried the Galley Hatch’s new Tinos Greek restaurant and were incredibly disappointed. The atmosphere was average. Food portions were ridiculously small and expensive.($ 240 for 4 people) Taste was average and the selection offered very few choices. But the Waite staff were incompetent so they have that going for them(brought the wrong wine and did not offer to replace it, gave us a check for the wrong table). Do yourself a favor, drive on by.

Rarely do I feel compelled to write a dissatisfied review. Actually this is my second review ever on Unilocal.I ordered the california with swiss to be grilled. It came out with semi melted cheese and what seemed to be my chipotle mayo hap hazardly scraped on. The fries honestly had no life in them. Feeling sad I wasted my money on this meal… Perhaps in house service is better

This is a family favorite, we’ve been coming here for years and I can’t think of a time when it disappointed. My 6 year old cousin said she liked the paintings and the fish tank the best. Personally I’m a fan of the nachos and the Cobb salad. Quality food, quality service and great atmosphere. Their menu is big and sometimes I tend to think that big menus are over compensation, however every one of their dishes is well crafted and tastes great! Their desserts are amazing. The only thing is that if you’re there for a later dinner they might be light on choices. The fruit tart and key lime tart are my favorites.

Locals & foodies of The NH Seacoast. Great place for socializing and a cold beer. Too bad the bar tender Andrea has a I need a career change attitude. Food was excellent. Service with a smile from grumpy not so much. We will definitely be back hopefully she’s not working. Life’s too short SMILE!

Havent been here in a few years. I now remember why. Service was sort of ok. Food was poor. I sent my turkey with stuffing back because it was served at room temperature. It returned not much warmer — the cook evidently deciding slightly warmer gravy would really raise the temps. Epic fail. Neither of my kids liked the grilled cheese nor the pizza. I mean how can you mess that up? Answer: use low quality cheese… the slimey tasteless kind. Also the pizza was undercooked. Seemed to be a trend against serving anything cooked or hot. Note to cook: please choose another profession — one that you actually care about. I’m second guessing the 2 stars now as too generous… guess we’ll be frequenting the restaurants up the road for another few years.

Every year for the past… Oh let’s not get into semantics… For a while no my college friend and I have been going here. The feta dip is my FAVORITE! It’s like creamy crack. I’ve tried to make it at home, but as delicious as mine is theirs is better. Now over these past few years we’ve gone through some changes, garlic on the pita bread… tapenade versus plain olives, all delicious and I’ve accepted them all. Tonight they offered us small and large… honey I didn’t come all this way for small. They have some new menu items that look superb. We went with apps and tried the chicken wraps, while they were good, I’ll pass. Their seafood is usually spot on AND don’t get me started on their desserts. I look forward to visiting my friends next year to see the new addition and to eat more feta dip!

Our favorite restaurant and bakery, as locals we highly recommend the galley hatch! Save room for desert… the pop overs are a must try. In the AM the bakery is open and serves coffee and breakfast. There is a small gift shop too.

I’ve been here a number of times including New Years Eve dinner with my mother and boyfriend — the service is always great! Food is well prepared, the drinks are good(specifically the martinis we got on NYE — heaven in a glass!!!) A little pricey for NYE dinner but who isn’t that time of the year. Our waiter was very attentive, kind and friendly. I’ll be back’

Last May my wife and I stopped here for lunch. It was a terrible experience. The salmon had no seasoning and the eclairs we had for dessert were cold, cold, cold, straight from the fridge! We have traveled through France and eaten many eclairs and these ones were not served properly.

What a fantastic experience! We rented the pelican room banquet hall. From the décor to the bartender to the servers it was a class act. The buffet was was spot on. Delicious and fresh. I’m not easily impressed especially when it comes to buffets. Everyone raved about the food especially the lobster mac and cheese. They have a fantastic chef, all the entrées and sides were cooked to perfection. Krissy our event coordinator was very attentive and courteous the many times I contacted her. She made sure our rehearsal dinner went off with out a hitch. The value for the money here was outstanding. Big thanks to The Galley Hatch for the new england hospitality, it was truly a pleasure. This is a must stop when looking for a fantastic meal and accommodating staff. Hope to see you all again next summer…
This place has really gone downhill over the past few years. The dining room had a a really off smell, like something was spilled on the carpet and spoiled. They’ve really cut back on the menu. Most of the Italian favorites that I used to go for aren’t there anymore. Dessert is normally the crowning touch, but the slice of cake I ordered was horribly dry and the icing was like slightly flavored Crisco with sugar.

Been coming here for years and have NEVER had a bad meal! Today i just wanted a nice lunch with my daughter. I had the pulled pork and my daughter had the Buffalo Chicken salad! Superb. The atmosphere is great! Very New England style feel. I’m always welcomed when I come in a warm way. Truly the best restaurant that is consistently excellent!

Really great waitress, service, food, atmosphere! We went out with friends and called ahead for a table. We sat in the lounge bar area and had a wonderful waitress named Ellen. When we walked in we saw the pastry and dessert window case first. Good or bad market? Well it worked! We adjusted our meals(just a little) so we could have dessert. Among us we had double burger with Orings, steak tips, onion soup, calamari, Chicken Alfredo and fried clams. The Alfredo sauce was a bit on the garlic side so it went back and they were super duper about it. The chef made up a fresh dish without any garlic and the plate was almost licked clean. We ordered an array of desserts. Some we ate and little snacks to take home(for later). Mini lime tart, peanut butter bar, cannoli, crème brûlée. All were very yummy and fresh. We left stuffed and happy! There are assorted rooms for whatever mood you may be feeling. Want to watch a game, sit in the bar or order from the raw bar… or sit in the main dining area while watching the fish swim around the salt water tank. The Galley Hatch was highly recommended and we enjoyed it and would agree.

First impression of this place is that it’s casual with an upscale feel and based on the other reviews here, we decided to stop in for lunch. We were greeted by a large bakery counter, an assortment of books, and some gift items unrelated to the restaurant it seemed. We waited a few minutes before we were seated. The dining room was pretty full for a little after the typical lunch hour, so we took this as a good sign. As we perused the menu and the list of specials, we noticed that the only person in the restaurant close to our age was the waitress. Very popular with the over 55 set apparently. The décor reflects the same. Not necessarily a bad thing of course. I kind of felt like I was on the set of The Golden Girls. My husband ordered a steak and shrimp combo with garlic mashed potatoes and the vegetable side was green beans and carrots. I had the lobster macaroni and cheese special. No complaints at all about the lobster mac. It was generously portioned, had plenty of lobster, and was really very good. My husbands meal was not so good. The steak was most definitely frozen and didn’t look very appetizing. It was overcooked and had an odd texture to it. The shrimp were probably frozen too. Given the location, this is inexcusable. The garlic mashed potatoes had no garlic as far as we could tell. Charging the prices they do, the quality should have been much, much better. Very disappointing. Our waitress was nice, but we had to ask for refills. Not good. On the way out, I stopped at the bakery counter and purchased a 7 layer brownie. Now THAT was fresh. It was absolutely one of the best brownies I’ve ever had. Go for the bakery, skip the restaurant.
