I called in at 8:00 pm on a Sunday and he said they don’t close for another 20 mins and he took my order for pick-up. I end up getting there and the lights are out and he closed already! Why in the the world would he even answer the phone or even take my order as well as ask for my name if he was just going to close. He could have told me he wasn’t taking anymore orders or he was going to close instead of taking my order and making me drive all the way over there. Rude. UPDATE: other than that one day, his food really makes up for it. Amazing shrimp fried rice!

Although they are cash only and do not deliver, this place still should be ordered by you. The fried rice was really good. The portions were normal for any Chinese restaurant, but I do agree that there really wasn’t much in terms of veggies in the dish. The egg rolls were really good, too. I first called and thought the owner was rude, but after calling again because I wanted Chinese food, he was actually really nice. When I got there he told me the reason he is sometimes rude is because many times people call to place an order and never show up, so he has to eat the cost so to speak. I definitely understand and would be bitter, too. People, you go for the food, not the management and this place definitely does the food right.

Hands down this place makes the best fried rice in NWI area. Normally order SPICY chicken fried rice and I’ve never been disappointed! Always fresh, delicious, and hot. But I’m not sure about other menu though, I’ve had orange chicken before, it wasn’t that great. Just order a large SPICY chicken fried rice and your tummy will be satisfied. Portion? Average.

I had General Tso chicken which was crispy but not too where its burnt, perfect. Ordered two entrees, lady charged double for the white rice which on their menu claimed to have one per dish, but was in a good mood and another one was measly change so just went ahead and paid for it. If you’re in the area and nowhere else to go, this spot is not too bad.

They don’t deliver. We called on a cold night, but not unusual weather and they said no delivery.

The best chinese food I’ve tried in the southeast side area. Delicious, FAST, fresh. High quality chicken and shrimp, great value. Kung Pao is a little different because there’s no peanuts and they added vegetables not typically found in Kung Pao, but it is very tasty and has a good spicy kick.

Love this place, I am here 3 times a week. Their orange chicken is the best, best fried rice I ever had. Service is excellent! Highly recommend.

I spent many years eating at Hong Kong Kitchen! I went back to my hometown for a visit and couldnt pass up the chance to eat at one of my old haunts and Nam and Mickey they remembered my name and after all the years I have been moved away and almost my order as I usually kept to eating the same thing! I hope they gain many more regular customers as I miss being able to eat there!

This is a take out place, but it’s an excellent one! It’s one of my favorite Chinese Restaurants! It might not be as nice as New Moon, but in some senses it is actually, heck maybe it’s better in some senses, because their food is awesome. Thier eggrolls are the best. Their shrimp fried rice is the best too.
