Weather Vane Farm was charming, clean, comfortable, and reasonable. It’s on one mile from Colgate. Breakfast is continental with home made pumpkin cake and brand muffins as well as juices, delicious coffee, Chobani yogurt, fresh fruits, granola, and cereal. The hosts Greg and Christy were warm and welcoming without being intrusive. They offered good advice for dinner. Our overnight stay was quiet and relaxing in an immaculately clean room without the Lysol or deodorizing smell of commercial hotels. It was perfect for what we were looking for after a long day.

I have stayed in this inn several times and have shelled out the big bucks because of it’s location and amenities. This last stay, I was informed that they are no longer a B and B. No breakfast. For the price they charge I could be at the Four Seasons. Just not worth it. They are taking advantage of Colgate University parents who want to visit with their children. It’s clean, charming but I don’t like being taken advantage of. Beware.
