Steak ‘n Shake

Is there a way to give less than 1 star. Correct me if I am wrong but isn’t the name Steak and SHAKE. The past two times that I have been here, we have been unable to order shakes. The first time they were short-​staffed. The second time they were OUT of ice cream. I mean… really? The manager doesn’t really care either. Both times that I have approached him, he has been rude and indifferent. Will NEVER come back here again!

I would give this place 0 stars if it was an option. Drive through service is horrible, rude, and unbelievably slow. They were having a problem with their microphones. Other people drove off in order not to deal with them. I make the mistake of sticking around and was held hostage for what seemed like forever while they chatted about whether they locked their house doors etc, etc. To top that off, the window is filthy. Doesn’t inspire confidence in how clean the rest of the resteraunt is.

The worst manager! While dining in for breakfast a few weeks i hear the manager brag to the staff that when the customers in the drive thru get an attitude he gets one right back, stating he dont take crap from them. So this morning im going thru drive thru, no answer at speaker, so i wait, wait. Then thinking it was I ut of order i drove around only to be greatex by the same manager with «i was trying to get to you!». I explained i thought was out of order. He just said in angry voice what can i get you. I ordered breskfast bowl, which was slopped in a sandwich box not a bowl, looked like came out of garbage! no thanks or come back, just slammed the window and i left. I will not be spending anymore money there!

Drive thru is better than inside at steak and steak. You get your foods faster

Hamilton Main Street steak and shake forgot the cheese on my burger and when they took it back to put the cheese on it was brought and the cheese was cold. The waitress took it back to melt. The burger was microwaved to an unnaturally hot temperature and the burger bun was left soggy and uneatable. We ordered shakes; my daughter wanted the birthday cake shake for the sprinkles. The shake was brought out with no sprinkles, they were out of sprinkles. This review started with 1 star while the kids but the manager came out as I was typing and removed the burger and milkshake from my bill without my having to complain. I can appreciate the effort to make things right.

Steak n’ Shake pisses me off. I have also visited two other Steak n’ Shakes and they are all the same. Every time I go there which is after dark, I’m standing in front waiting to be seated for far too long, especially since they are not even busy. The employees will look at you and don’t even bother walking over to greet you or to tell you they’ll be with you in a minute or anything. And I do mean that this has happened in two other Steak n’ Shakes. The employes there are ridiculous and clueless, and are apparently unable to multitask.
Now at this particular Steak n’ Shake, when I order food it takes them a long time to make it, and then when it’s done it will just sit under the food warmer because my server is no where to be found. Then when I talked to the manager about my food being cold, the cook sits there and says that the food wasn’t on the counter that long, when my boyfriend and I were staring at it for about five minutes. My boyfriend almost walked up there and served the food to us himself.
The food is okay, except for the horrible shoestring fries. The milkshakes are the best part. Other than that the service is absolutely horrible every time I go there.
