I ordered chicken park subs on Sunday. The two young folks working there were very nice which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. The sandwiches were not good. There was zero flavor, the chicken was very stringy and chewy. This surprised me because Toninos USED to be good years ago. It’s sad.

Forgot my order and couldn’t figure out how to refund my credit card. I will not be ordering from here again.

These men are doing the Lord’s work. First of all, they’re making pizza for college students. Talk about philanthropy. I know, I know: it’s up there with the likes of solving global climate change and finding a source of renewable energy. We’ll never get to solve any of these issues if the young minds of Hamden aren’t fed(and fed well). They’re proactive in this outreach. They used to deliver pizza without us even calling. We ordered so much pizza, that they actually started bringing us their leftovers every morning at 1am. We had so much pizza at one point, we were handing it out at parties. That’s the type of business model that has led to the global problem solving Quinnipiac alumni have become known for. And for that Tonino’s, we thank you.

We enjoy their pizza, but customer service was horrible. Ordered delivery service. I had to say it 2x in the first call and gave my address, which they confirmed. After an hour wait, I called and was told the driver had just left 2 min ago. After 15 more minutes(we live 5 min away) I called again. The person answering confirmed my order and told me I had ordered pick up not delivery. Needless to say with plenty of great pizza competition nearby, it’s not likely we go back.

just moved here from NC with my wife. Discovered them and we love their pizza but the steak stromboli is excellent. Living in NC the last 3 years, and 11 years in Chicago before that, but originally from Philly, I am NY style pizza all the way. I love their dough and sauce. The best!

Somehow paid over $ 12 for an underwhelming calzone. The dough they use is so bland and flavorless. Sauce is terrible. Too much garlic. Never again

Always reliable, always fresh, and their pizza and other food is yummy. Service is reliable, delivery is quick, and prices are good for the area. I recommend the cheese pizza or the meatball pizza.

Very very very bad service from the old lady that runs the place. Tasteless pizza. I have to call couple of timesto fix a credit card mistake that she made. Charged $ 44.79 for two slices of pizza. Never back again you guys shouldn’t be in business.

The crust is very good. They make their dough and bread from scratch. The sauce could use some improvement but, otherwise, a likable pizza!

I cannot believe the horrible service I got from here. First of all, the older lady who answers the phones told me when I was ordering she is «stressed out and can’t handle this!» then proceeds to put me on hold for an extended amount of time. I decided to give them a second try 3 weeks later and the service this time was even worse. The lady was again rude on the phone to me and they delivered half my order, so after multiple phone calls to the driver and to Tonino’s, they finally ordered my food… which was wrong. The lady fought with me on the phone and argued saying I was wrong, then continued to go through my order history saying I’ve never ordered the meal that I had. They will never get my service again and none of my friends want to order from them either. Other pizza places have much better quality food and service.

Convenient that they deliver, but it would be nice if the woman on the phone didn’t judge every order you placed. «Oh you want peppers AND artichokes? My, my… aren’t we adventurous. AND a side of French fries? Wow, that’s a lot of food…» Asked her for a total and she said she would have to call me back. I had to call back 20 minutes later to ask and she still hadn’t done it. And then the delivery driver made a comment about how we could’ve just done the math to figure out the total. It’s too bad the prices online are different from what they charge, so that’s not a feasible option.

I usually order grinders or strombolis from here. I recently tried the Fresh Mozzarella & Tomato Salad, which was«A-OK» too. The strombolis are a generous size and they can definitely be two meals. I tried their spaghetti and it would get a,“Meh. I’ve experienced better,” review.

Went to this place today and had probably the most pathetic calzone I’ve ever eaten. It had no sauce in it, just that pathetic flavorless marinara on the side that you get when you eat at like a food court pizza place in the mall. The cheese had no flavor to it and I felt very cheated on the fillings. Literally no sausage to be found. If I just wanted to eat cheap cheese and nothing else I would have gone to Walmart. Stay away

If you need take out Italian, and you need it delivered to your door, look no further than Tonino’s. They’re a Mt. Carmel staple, and have been for years. The chicken francese is awesome, and their fried mozz is to die for. Always hits the spot. You won’t be disappointed…

Tonino’s has been my go to pizza place for years. I’ve probably had almost everything on the menu and can’t really complain about any of it. If you like pizza with a little bit of a thicker crust than traditional New Haven-style thin crust pizza then this is the place to go. The large pies have gotten a little bit smaller over the last year or so, but who isn’t cutting the size of their product these days. The pasta is decent, but if your looking to spend $ 10 on pasta, it’s probably worth it to go somewhere else. Their grinders are delicious. They are always stuffed to the max and its hard to finish a whole one. We’ve also had them cater a few family parties and they have always done a great job. I would definitely recommend Tonino’s if you are looking for a great meal, at a decent price, ready in 20 minutes.

I have to admit that I don’t really like the pizza that much, but we ordered some other stuff while studying for finals(since Tonino’s delivers), and my friends and I were very pleased with the grinders and stromboli options. An A-OK place for cheap, satisfying delivery.

Okay. I have to give Tonino’s Three stars… We live pretty close by. and they deliver. Since whenever I cook for my husband – he claims attempted murder… We order delivery about once a week! Chicken Finger Appetizer– Decent served with fries. How can you go wrong? Shrimp Fra Diavlo– Not on the menu-but they will make it for you. It has a good amount of large shrimp. The sauce is spicy. but not overpowering. Chicken Marsala– Great portion and awesome sauce! Double Cheeseburger(Husband’s go to) — Cooked correctly with tasty fries. Pizza-Good crust… consistent! Buffalo Chicken — We always order with onion. It is zesty! Bacon and Onion– Yum! Clams Casino– Tasty! Delivery– Fast delivery even when QU is in session…
