Hi Sent Picture of platter. I have IBS and the platter was specially designed by myself. I appreciate the accomadating factor of the chef and manager. I love the Deck on a gorgeous day… was awesome. Special Thanks To my waitress Danielle.:)

Went here for happy hour which is only served in bar area and it was a great deal. 6.00 yummmmmmy margaritas and buy one appetizer, get one free. There were more deals but that was one we decided on. We had such amazing margaritas. Really good size and fresh for the price. We got jalapeño poppers which were definitely homemade and so tasty. Very hot the way I love them. We also got chips with Con queso dip which was really so great and was a good size bowl. And one of those apps was free so can’t beat that. The salsa we got that are served with chips for free was some of the best salsa I’ve ever had. The bartender was very attentive and informative. Love the atmosphere of the place too. Very cozy. Not sure why the bad reviews on here. My experience was perfect.

We should have known this place wouldn’t have good Mexican food when we walked in and saw burgers and fries being served. We ordered 9 $ frozen margaritas and they tasted like juice, I’m questioning how much alcohol was actually used in them because it was totally a rip off. My friend and I ordered enchiladas and the cheese inside of them was like a solid unmelted block. The meat enchiladas were dry and the rice and beans were not good. My other friends got a nacho platter that they were satisfied with, but overall I would not recommend eating here.

All I can say is–«Stay Away». I have no idea why this place always looks so busy. The food was horrendous and service was terrible. I ordered a chimichanga and it tasted like a frozen burrito that some one poured canned salsa over it. I am Latino and I will never be caught eating there again. I’d rather go down the street to Ixtapas in Hamden or Señor Panchos in Prospect/Cheshire– hell even Old El Paso frozen burritos are better… YUCK!

Went last night(12⁄30) and worst Mexican food I have ever had. Service wasn’t great and food was awful. Will probably never go again.

I visited AC on 12⁄30 for a quick dinner and a couple of beers. To start like any mexican resturant we were served chips and salsa. the chips were stale and reminded me of the $ 1 bag of santinos found at most grocery stores that were left out all day at a picnic, the salsa was probably made up two weeks ago and ice creamed scooped into little dipping cups to be distributed as guests arrive. however we might be the table that got the cup way in the back of the fridge that was made 2 weeks ago. Con queso and mexican egg rolls were ordered for appetizers, the con queso was velveeta with scallions and the mexican egg rolls were not to bad for a bar food app. hungry with a few beers and anything fried with cheese is awsome. that being said. nothing was going to prepare me for the slop that was finding its way to our table, not even the 6 beers in 30 minutes could numb the taste. 2 entrees of authetic mexican cuisine Beef tacos… soggy tortilla, mushy beef, just bad. its a beef taco. A Beef Taco… Beef in a tortilla shell. if you get this one wrong. your in trouble. Baja fish tacos…2 bites and the smell of bad fish was almost funny. it lead to a on going night of dirty jokes. the staff seemed ok. there all kids. not that its a bad thing, its just they dont give a shit and i understand its a job to get by or pay some bills. but if you come to a table and you still have full plates and no doggy bags requested. there might be a problem… i knew she was not going to ask how everything was cause who gives a shit right. just pay the bill and beat it… Well… if you want taco bell like food quality then you have found your new spot… however this is probably a great spot to drink and hang around. i imagine they have a good college night and decent crowds. Maybe it was just a off night. . I give this place one star for the delicious and cold budweisers

This place is rather unimpressive. The food is mediocre and the service it sub par. The wait staff is friendly but not so attentive. The chips and salsa are probably the best thing I ate during my time at Aunt Chilada’s. It’s evident that their revenues aren’t generated by the food they serve, but rather the drinks they serve to QU students on the weekend. If you are searching for authentic Mexican food, I would consider eliminating Aunt Chilada’s from you list of possibilities.

This is more a warning than a review. We had read the reviews & was hoping for an experience at the low restaurant week prices. Attempted to go last night & saw that the parking lot was completely empty for a Wednesday night at 8pm. We thought it was closed until we saw a server inside walking around among the low lighting. Walked up to door & discovered why no one was there. This place has a «C» health code grade. No low of a price is enough to eat somewhere that’s one letter away from being shut down from unsafe food handling & poor sanitation. If you want to take a chance on food poisoning or later in time if they ever raise that score up then let us know how that works for you. Otherwise, it’s not worth the risk.

I love this place! Went in looking for a fun, family atmosphere and was met with exactly that. The food was great and the margaritas were even better. Definitely go for the Ultimate Margarita and the tacos al carbon. If she’s there, ask for Miranda, she was an awesome server!

We had a really nice dinner at Aunt Chilada’s. Nice, quick service. One of the biggest burritos I’ve ever eaten. Really great bang for your buck. We will be back soon!

We had a great time at Aunt Chilada’s. The nachos were yummy, and my dinner was very tasty. You get pretty big portions here — my fiancé and I both came home with leftovers. It has a nice atmosphere, with two floors, and a large patio overlooking the golf course. We saw the Galvanized Jazz Band tonight, and the upstairs was packed. This place is a lot of fun!

Went to have Mexican for dinner with a few friends at a place that was suggested to me. Atmosphere was decent and reminded me more of a restaurant that would get busy on the weekend. We first sat on the deck for dinner, which we were all pleased with, and then came in for trivia night. All round a decent time. Plates of food were $ 17 plus which is 2 or 3 dollars out of my comfort zone to spend. Drinks were great and service was good too. They also had a gluten free menu(good idea) which could use a few more plates and appetizers added.

I haven’t reviewed? Great for sitting outside and enjoying chips, salsa and margaritas. Everything else is fairly average and I don’t ever go for the food alone. Patio is lovely next to golf range.

The friendly wait staff patiently accommodated our large group of 17, including 5 hungry children. Chips and salsa were served promptly and abundantly, and were quite tasty(Being from California, we have high standards for Mexican food). We did not have to wait long for Appetizers and main course to arrive and the food was good. Overall, very satisfied with our experience.

I went in with low expectations but it was actually pretty good. Nice indoor and outdoor seating and decent menu selection. The chips and salsa were really good. They do charge for a second basket but I’m guessing the qu crowd would eat a lot of chips otherwise. Service wasn’t great but it wasn’t bad I ordered the daily special, a quesadilla with chicken, spinach and mushrooms, and it was very good. Yeah, it’s Generic American tex mex, but it served it’s purpose, and we had a nice meal. I would go back

Poor service and we felt like we were rushed thru our dinner. The kitchen was closing at 9:00pm, they got us in as we were in a big group but we were just rushed they the dinner. One of the first Mexican place which ran out of hot habanero sauce. I would not recommend visiting the place.

When I moved here in December, someone told me their food wasn’t that good and boy they were right! I am no chef, but my Mexican food I make at home is way better. I make enchiladas using sauce from a can and it is spectacular compared to their food. The food is bland and lacks any real authenticity. I really wish they would get a new chef and redo the entire menu. The drink prices are ridiculous too for a restaurant that is not upscale. The happy hour margarita was $ 6 and not big. The typical mixed drink price I saw was around $ 9. It’s a cute building, but I can’t see ever going back unless they get a new chef.

Got fajitas. A friend and I wanted fajitas for two but waitress informed us that we still could only have 3 sides. Meaning we both had to have the same. WTF? ordered separately(paying more). Now have to choose 3 sides /toppings. Lettuce counts as one. Really? I got rice, sour cream, tomato, and lettuce. All are among choices for my toppings but I am one over. I got charged for a side of rice. Why not charge me for a side of lettuce which should come to about ten cents? Meat was bland and in chunks which makes a fajita awkward. Tortillas brought to the table 10 to 15 minutes before the meat and got cold. The mediocre food would have been tolerable but the service and unreasonable menu«rules» made it feel like the place is nickel and diming me and not doing what it needs to to provide a meal with the standard accompanying items.

Completely inauthentic Mexican that thankfully abuts a gorgeous park and the Sleeping Giant mountain range. So you have that going for you. Chips were mediocre and salsa may very well been out of a bottle or can. I’m not sure there’s that much freshly made here. Guacamole was a bright green and too smooth to have been prepared by a human. Complete lack of seasoning on most of the sides, and tomatillo«sauce» was sweet — sweet(!). Wait staff was friendly enough, but most inattentive, checking in if only to check-in. Worst part was waiting for the check. We couldn’t get out fast enough.
