This business listing is outdated… they have moved to 4220 South Park in Blasdell. We stopped in yesterday to pick up a few cupcakes for my daughter’s first birthday. I was pleased to see a good selection of interesting flavors, and eventually decided on Snickers, Cherry Almond, Caramel Apple Spice, Banana Split, and Vanilla. Better grab a fork and be prepared to savor these — they’re melt-in-your mouth good! The service was so friendly my daughter couldn’t stop giggling. This will be my go-to bakery the next time I need a special cupcake!

So my mom suggested this place to try for lunch. Well the atmosphere was something like walking into moms kitchen and the menu was not much more than what the average person makes at home. The menu had the same thing listed multiple times for example you can get a blt as a sandwich, triple decker sandwich or a wrap. The same goes for most of the rest of the menu, there is a huge lack of creativity here. I ordered tomato Florentine soup and it was Campbell’s soup with diced tomatoes and fresh spinach maybe made with cream or milk. If I wanted to eat like this I would have stayed home and ate campbells. I also ordered a side salad that was over priced $ 3.49 for iceberg and a little spring mix, the worst part about it was I was given a package of Newman’s dressing like I was at mcdonalds. Save money give me a better salad and get a bottle and put the dressing in a side cup. The person with me ordered the same soup and got a chicken souvlaki wrap on whole wheat wrap and it was just average nothing crazy. I can’t comment on the bake goods because we did not have any but I did notice Melanie drinking out of a Tim Horton’s coffee cup and they sell fancy coffee drinks. What is your coffee that bad you have to go somewhere else?

If you like the ambiance of the generic gas station/donut/pastry/coffee/WD40/shaving supply/beef jerkey stop, then you want to drive past this place. If your fancy is more of the«fresh baking from your mom’s kitchen» dessert place… no seriously, it’s like your mom’s kitchen, I have seen it… you need to stop in. The PB Fudge Pie is the perfect marriage of PB and chocolate that would make Reese’s jealous. The apple pie tastes like you would imagine a 1950’s cartoon of a steaming hot slice on a window sill would taste. Seriously, stop in for the best sugar rush you’ll have in months and enjoy the fireplace and great customer service.

Love it! I have ordered both cupcakes and a Birthday cake. They were all obviously just made and delicious. My family isn’t a big fan of chocolate cake but even they couldn’t stop eating the cupcakes. Everyone was so nice to me. You just feel like you are very important to them.

Had the opportunity to visit the restaurant, which is located in the same building behind Monroe’s Place, and had a wonderful experience. I had visited with 4 ladies for lunch and the place was empty. Somewhat skeptical because of the lack of diners, I erred on the safe side and ordered chicken salad on a croissant. It was delicious! Because it is primarily a bakery, we had all ordered mini pies. What a variety! I had gotten the cherry and it visibly perfect, but when eaten, even better if possible. My companions had the coconut cream and peanut butter chocolate cream and remarked they were also terrific. Will definitely patronize Melanie’s again.
