John & Mary’s

I’ve been coming to John I’ve been coming to John & Mary’s since the early 1980s, when we’d get out of school early at St. Pete’s & go hang out with friends. The menu has expanded considerably since then & the food quality has remained relatively consistent over the years, which is to their credit, but the prices have probably crept up more than they should have. Not a great many options for the health conscious, but you probably knew that going in.
I haven’t dined in here in a while, so I can’t really comment on the cleanliness of the bathrooms (they’re single stalls & the place is staffed largely by goofy teenagers, so you do the math). It’s good for a meal if you’re seeing a movie at the Palace Theater right across the street, or if you want to stock up on pizza & wings before the Bills disappoint you again.

Ordered a tuna sub, it was really boring, just tuna and mayo slopped on a roll, definitely not worth the high price of the sub, add some spices to this and make it more interesting or lower the price of the sub, really disappointed

Been here a few times until I found Jimmie pizza Inc and never went back. I’ve been dubbed the chicken finger guy because that’s what I usually order. The chicken fingers are always soggy never crispy. I ordered a combo pizza and wings once, never again. It says on the menu request the combo or you get charged seperate and it’s ridiculously over priced. Well we requested the combo multiple times in fact during the same phone call and they over charged us. So we tried to call and speak with a manager and spoke with a very VERY RUDE gentleman that called us liars and said his girls never make mistakes ever. So I tried calling back where he literally told me to f off. No refund on the over charge we were missing 3 wings and the pizza was under cooked. The time before that I ordered the cheeseburger special. Its a double burger w fries. Well the burgers were actually cold like they had been in the fridge the fries were overly greasy because they went in under temp grease and Sat in while it was heating up. I called to ask for a refund and told them the problem after a long debate all I got was them willing to replace the same order on a future date because they refused to let me walk the food in when I live 5 doors down as it was closing time. My free food is still waiting for me. Why? Because they’re not worth it. You don’t talk to women that way and you never disrespect your customers. Sorry John and Mary’s your parents had the right idea sadly you guys are destroying the name and the reputation.

Filthy… floors gross, tables sticky, ceiling partials falling etc etc if you don’t care enough to keep a clean house how you doing the food you serve?

My family and I used to go here all the time for a hot dog and fries (especially in the winter where we could get a little summer food when it was snowing and blowin”) The food is the same but the place is dated and filthy. We were sitting in a booth and there were ants crawling all over the windowsill. I told the watiress and she acted like she didn’t care. The tables feel greasy, the floors have carpet that stinks. We won’t be going back.

A family of 5 with 3 children under the age of 10, John & Mary’s was our choice last night. We ordered our food at the counter before the inevitable «daddy I have to use restroom» directive came. The bathroom was not clean, in fact my shoes were sticking to the floor. Our food came out promptly. Two Chicken Caesar salads, a grilled chicken sandwich (barely grilled), chicken fingers, and another grilled chicken over a bed of not cold nor crunchy salad. The food overall quality was below average. The entire restaurant had an unclean and sticky feel to it.

Went to John and Mary’s. Very run of the mill — although expansive, there was nothing spectacular about their menu. We ordered a few pizzas and wings, nothing which made it unique or particularly great. I felt the price was pretty reasonable or average. The space itself is pretty dated, but it has a nice area for larger parties (e.g. post-​softball game meals).

Service is still terrible, but the food quality hasn’t changed too much. Fish fry is always delicious, though sometimes a little small. Portion sizes seem to have decreased since my last review.

We love their subs, especially the BLT! This is a family favorite everytime we visit.
