This is why I love Unilocal!Never would have even seen this place. Great food. Real French Onion Soup! Great Garlic Knots. House Dressing is world class. Really World Class! Steak was like butter! Chicken Jessica top notch and the Rigatoni with Spicy Sausage was straight out of Brooklyn! What else can I say?!

I’ve been going here for years with my family and although service and sometimes the food hasn’t been up to par sometimes they’ve always made it right. Pizza and garlic knots are a definite must.

My brother recommended this. I’m Italian and I’m very picky when it comes to Italian food. My husband had the chicken parm and I had the gnocchi. Both were delicious. I got a side salad with mine. It was fresh, they used spring mix, not just soggy iceberg like some places. I mixed ranch, Italian and balsamic vinaigrette, all of which are home made. My husband had the chicken corn chowder, which he loved and said was very hearty, and he doesn’t usually order soup. The sauce is nice and thick, no chunks of uncooked veggies and the acid level was spot on. Will definitely be back.

Needed a place to stop right off 81 on the way back to NYC. Expectations were low as we were in the middle of nowhere but WOW this restaurant was awesome. Portions are big, food fantastic. Will always make a stop here going forward!

A diamond in the rough. On our way from Corning to Philadelphia we hopped off interstate 81 and happened on this little gem. Wonderful food and great prices! I wish we lived close by.

Love the reasonably priced, delicious food! Though food service does take some time, the food is awesome! Many selections for a vegetarian like myself. The prices are great, and keep us coming back at least twice a month! We tend to frequent especially on Sundays, where we can watch sports games (football!), yet still enjoy a nice, refined meal.

A surprising find in Hallstead; considering there is no sign out front. The food here is great, and very high quality. Service is hit or miss as far as speed, but everyone is very nice. Would definitely come back.

I go to Tedeschis a few times a year while visiting from out of town, since it is the nicest place in town… which isn’t saying much. The food is decent for the price but service is terrible. They just don’t know the basics of customer service. Despite being one of only two tables, it took 5 minutes just to get drinks. In the mean time we didn’t even have menus. I probably won’t be back.

They don’t serve pickles because the owner doesn’t like them??? WHA?
But I love Tedeschi’s, the price is decent, the staff is nice… I just wish the big TVs weren’t there… the guys always stare at the TVs now, instead of in my eyes. The aura of the last set up before the flood was classier than the current, but none the less I like it.

Food was very good, and they were able to accommodate our very large group on short notice. The menu has a wide range of Italian American choices including pizza. Portions were generous.
I had veal parm, my «standard» Italian test dish and it was very good. The spaghetti was not over cooked, which I liked.
My 14 year old cousin got a large salad that she finished, having very much enjoyed it.
Another reviewer commented on the garlic knots which were excellent, but bring a roll of breath mints for everyone in your party.

I regularly make the drive from Syracuse NY just for the garlic knots. The food is unbelievably good. You’d never guess from the unassuming exterior that you are in for some truly amazing food — ranging from Pizza to serious Italian cooking. Great service, friendly staff, and did I mention the garlic knots?

Flood of ’06 survivors, the Tedeschi Family has outdone itself on the fantastic renovations and improved staff of Tedeschi’s for the Hallstead/​Great Bend area. Note that the menu prices are noticably higher, but it’s still worth a drive from the triple cities area and a favorite dining spot for locals, and isn’t that the real sign of success?
