This place charges outrageous prices for less than mediocre food. If you enjoy overpriced dried out pastrami and brown lettuce in your salad then by all means stop in. Otherwise stay away and go somewhere else.

Excellent value for the money. Our waitress Rosalyn was wonderful! She was personable and attentive. The Ollie Burger seasons were delicious! Food was served hot and cooked perfectly to order. The desserts are delicious and large portions for sharing.

First visit to Flashback Diner last night. Short wait, but well worth it. My wife and I each had a geat meal and mine was from the dinner meal special so it includes soup/salad the entrée and dessert. We both left very full and took home some of my wife’s chicken and all of my dessert. Very reasonable prices. We will definitely be back. Only reason not 5 stars is the parking situation. Not nearly enough spaces for the size of the restaurant. But still we’ll worth the inconvenience with parking. Food and service definitely 5 star

Food is simple and relatively cheap. But the waitress and the manager i spoke on the phone were EXCEPTIONALLYRUDE! I call in for directions and after a while waitress answered the phone and could not tell me where they are located except Federal Hwy. than she put a guy with HEAVY accent on the phone. I asked him who he was. And Instead of replying to me with his name and title he asked me who i was. So i asked him again who he was and than again he replied with a question of who i was. Isn’t it RUDE? When i asked if he a dishwasher or waiter or host he told me that he is a manager, but wouldn’t say his name. What an unprofessional, inadequate jerk, there is NOWAY someone like that can be a manager or can he in Hallandale Beach, Fl. I am from Midwest and there is NOWAY someone like that can be a manager in one of our restaurants! Mark L.

I found this diner on the way to Hallandale Beach, Fort Lauderdale. The diner was adorned with older celebrities in framed photos and posters. I had a late breakfast after noon. Great service. I ordered the egg white power omelette– chicken, veggies, topped with salsa and avocado and came with home fries/hash browns and a bagel or toast. I couldn’t eat it all! Very satisfying food that was cooked perfectly. I had the perfect combination of healthy and comfort food. My huge breakfast was just under $ 14. There are cheaper places to eat. This place will was fine for a very hungry appetite.

Great place for breakfast. Get the cubed potato hash with sweet peppers. Ask for a table where Tama can serve you. Breakfast is delicious and coffee is practically bottomless. We went three times and it was great. A must do in the Hollywood area.

As soon as we walked in the hostess was very kind and lead us straight to our booth. We really liked our waitress she was on point with everything and the service was fast! For our first time there the food was excellent, we ordered Mac and cheese and chili cheese fries! Really really good! We will be coming back for sure!

I go here after work all the time! I always get the matzo ball soup and everything bagel or scramble eggs with shredded hash! So good! Also there tuna sandwiches are amazing as well! I go after hours between 3 – 6AM and I always sit with Mary or Frenchy! Amazing servers and know there stuff! The only negative thing I can say is it is freezing in there! Bring a sweater to stay warm lol

As far as diners go, I’ve had better. I was going to get a burger till I saw one served across the aisle. Didn’t look juicy, so I chose instead a half corned beef sandwich on rye, with a cup of matzoh ball soup and a side of potato salad. The soup was bland, the matzoh ball fluffy but lacking character. My sandwich wouldn’t pass muster at Carnegie Deli, and the potato salad … meh.(«You didn’t like the potato salad?» our waitress asked. «I know, it’s not that great» she added.) While I don’t compare diners with what I know from New York or Jersey, I would think one in Florida would be as good as what we’ve got in Atlanta. Sadly, this one isn’t.

Food was good, service was quirky but pleasant, and they were open at 3am. How can this be bad? I had the cobb salad. Didn’t look pretty, but it tasted just fine.

Cheap, fast and good. Had the matzoh ball soup with chicken and noodles. It was very good. Large, light and fluffy matzoh ball! And I had a ½ sandwich with that… the ham and swiss sandwich. It was very good. Since it was my Mom’s bday we got a tiny piece of chocolate cake, for free!

I don’t usually come to north Miami beach area but Chantelle and I were working at Exxxotica and haven’t eaten ALLDAY. So she took me to this diner around aventura area, which I was very excited for. The last time I went to an old fashioned diner was over 10 years ago with my mom. I don’t ever recall a night where the food wasn’t good back then. When I stepped into Flashback, I was immediately appeased by the sight of GINORMOUS dessert cakes at the front by the register. Super original diner feels I was really craving angel hair pasta but they didn’t have any, which appalled me because they had shrimp scampi. They have shrimp scampi but not even a basic spaghetti or Alfredo dish? That’s fine though, maybe it’s just not in high demand in this particular area. They have an excellent $ 25 deal where you choose an entrée, a soup or salad, a drink, AND dessert. so I went with the shrimp scampi to fulfill my pasta craving. That shrimp scampi was a LOT better than I expected. I was expecting some mediocre, «okay», tasting pasta. But for a diner… flashback exceeded my expectations. It wasn’t too buttery, the garlic and butter ratio was blended well. Also, the shrimps were HUGE. Not little shrimps. No they gave big shrimps and there were about 6 pieces of them too. The tail was even still attached, which I liked because I love sucking the shrimp out of its tail. Juicy.
