OMG! So yummy. I had the Crazy Nut sandwich. It is a coconut peanut butter and banana sandwich. It was great. My husband and boys had the mango madness smooties. My boys also had their homemade ice cream cookie sandwiches. We liked it so much we went back the next day for the same thing again. I’m sure we will hit this place again before leaving North Shore.

Love this place. Turtle balls are the best! Turkey is shredded. Gluten free bun is more like a biscuit; kind of dry but happy to see they have an option.

This is an extremely late review. I was reminiscing today about my trip to Oahu in 2013 in which I traveled around the island WWOOFing(world wide opportunities on organic farming). For the final two weeks of my trip, I WWOOFed on the owner’s farm(John). He’s a great guy and his entire family is so kind. His wife invited me out surfing with her every morning! This bakery has tasty treats and amazing organic fruit smoothies. But for me it wasn’t about the taste of their product, but the kindness they serve to the people of Hawaii. I live in California but if I was back in Hawaii, I’d make it a mission to get back here and catch up with this good-natured family.

My favorite sandwich place! Their home made bread are the best. Roasted veggies on pesto wheat is my favorite! Huge portions! And their banana bread pudding is a must get. Also for peanut butter lovers, I recommend their peanut butter blast. Overall just love this place

Was craving an Acai bowl and never had one until we stopped by this little gem. Its not off the beaten path but if you’ve been tired of eating spam musubi, this is a great little place to grab something sweet. I order a small acai bowl with their homemade granola and fell in love. I wish I ordered the large lol. Cute little shack with a small seating outside, you get to watch people drive up and down the main road and relax. I can’t wait to go back there.

I ordered the mini acai bowl. Quite honestly, one of the most delicious things I’ve eaten. They make the granola and you can certainly tell. I enjoyed the bowl so much that I went back later in the day for a second bowl! I could eat one of their acai bowls every single day! I also ordered a piece of bread with butter. The bread, which they also make is delicious! And they serve the bread warm! I then decided that I had to try a cookie so went back for a peanut butter cookie — yum.

I would have never found this place without my fellow Unilocalers posting about it. We stopped in for lunch and the food was very good. The place was crowded but the service was great. I really liked the cheese and herb bun. The selection of sandwiches and baked goodies was pretty good. They lady working the counter was very friendly and efficient. She was happy to hear we found the place using Unilocal. I’d go back here again if in the area as there is so much to try.

The best banana bread pudding ever, no joke. Super affordable prices. Cool little place with lots of options for everyone, even the kiddos. Acai bowl was super tasty too. Only 45 minutes from Waikiki… worth a trip if even just going for the desserts!

Such a cute, cozy, and healthy after the beach session meal! We always see this place by Malama market so finally we checked it out. We ordered: –turkey pesto with papaya seed dressing –lemonade –plantation iced tea –oatmeal raisin icecream sandwich First off, there food is really fresh and light. The turkey pesto had actual real turkey and not cold cuts. The only thing is we wished the turkey pesto had more salt. Even with the papaya seed dressing it was very bland. Other than that all the fillings and especially the garlic parm bread is yummy. My friend had the oatmeal raisin cookie and she loved it. It comes with two cookies of your choice and homemade vanilla icecream! Overall, we like what this place has to offer. With a variety of menu choices, we’re coming back! Oh and their banana bread is the best on the island hands down.

This was our first time to Waialua Bakery & Juice Bar and we liked everything we ordered. We came hungry after a dive at Shark’s Cove so everything mentioned was consumed within 10 minutes of ordering. :) Speaking of which, it was nice and early so our orders were ready in less than 5 minutes. That was great! I had the roasted vegetable sandwich and my husband had the veggie burger. I really liked my sandwich, it had sprouts, big pieces of roasted carrots and a hummus of sorts. They let you choose your bun so I got a cheese bun. Alessandro thought the veggie burger was just ok. Nothing particularly bad, just not his favorite. We both thought the buns were a tad bread-y but that is likely because we tend to prefer Italian breads to doughy American buns. We also had the banana bread pudding. Now THAT was off-the-hook bread-y and perfectly yummy! We sat outside at a rather large picnic table and enjoyed the morning breeze. We will definitely be back. Ale really regrets not getting a milkshake.

I came here after a day at the beach with my best friend. Between the two of us, we split the roasted vegetable sandwich on pesto wheat bread(with cheese), and the ace bowl with mango. It was delicious, and the perfect amount of food! I absolutely LOVE the pesto wheat bread. It’s so soft, yet moist, and very flavorful! Also, the mango was very fresh, and I loved the granola that they put in the acai bowl. All of the fruits and vegetables are locally grown from their farm, so it all tasted very fresh and delicious. This might be my go-to place now every time I go to the beach. If not for a sandwich, then it would be for the amazing cookies! I recommend the coconut cream and snickerdoodle cookie. Oh. My. Goodness. Those are absolutely to die for!

Wonderful cookies and incredible smoothies; thumbs up on the Island Paradise with all the fruits that remind you of Hawaii: pineapple, coconut, mango & papaya.

This cute sandwich shop was a pleasant surprise on a recent trip to the north shore. Our usual lunch spot was closed for the day so we decided to give this place a try! Pesto wheat bread was so delicious. As we sat waiting for our sandwiches, I could smell the the bread baking in the oven and it smelled so divine. Nothing is better than the smell of fresh bread baking(besides brownies of course). I ordered the turkey pesto sandwich which was pretty good. In all honesty, the bread made this sandwich. In my opinion, I thought the turkey was okay. Maybe I am used to slices of turkey in a turkey sandwich. This sandwich had shredded turkey but I am definitely impressed that they make everything in house. Now for the ice cream sandwiches. Pure bliss! We shared the coconut cookie ice cream sandwich and it was amazingly yummy. I’d drive miles and miles and miles for this ice cream sandwich(literally, since I live in town). Love the chewiness of the cookie because who wants an ice cream cookie sandwich made with crunchy cookies? Obviously, not me! This was yummy and I’d definitely come back again just for this. While waiting for your sandwich or eating your ice cream sandwich, check out the cute décor!

Normally when I have lunch at the north shore, it’s usually at one of the shrimp trucks. This time my buddy who grew up in this hood recommended that I try this place as their sandwiches are fresh and delicious. Waialua Bakery takes phone orders which helps expedite the process especially when you are in a rush. I ordered the Hungry Hawaiian(turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, sprouts, mayo, and mustard). They roast their own turkey and deep fry their own bacon, which made a huge difference in the taste of the sandwich. I didn’t know there were different choices for bread, but found out when I got here. You have an option of the following: jalapeño, parmesan garlic, cheese and herb, pesto wheat, white, and wheat. Why I like this place and would recommend? It is family run and it is farm to table. Note: Bring cash. They do not accept credit cards.

Yum! Yum! Yum! Anytime I’m at the north shore I try to stop by the bakery for a sandwich and smoothie. This time was excellent. We got our food to go so we could eat it at the beach. There are plenty of vegetarian options. I got the avocado sandwich on the cedar and herb roll and star fruit lemonade. DELICIOUS! The line was kind of long when we arrived but the crew was awesome and we got our order within 7 mins! The prices aren’t bad either! Sandwich and lemonade for ~$ 10! I also love the décor and plenty of room to eat there!

Oh how I love the North Shore, and all it’s fantastic little hole in the wall food trucks and eateries! Waialua Bakery is a new find for me, and definitely one of my favorites! The fact that they grow all of their produce, roast all their turkey in house, and bake all their own bread is reason enough to give this place a try. 3 must trys: 1. any of their sandwiches. I prefer the turkey pesto… the homemade pesto is to die for. 2. COCONUTDREAM cookies! you will have dreams about this cookie after you try it. they’re that good! 3. the all natural strawberry, banana, coconut sorbet. such a refreshing, light, delicious little treat! This has definitely become a favorite spot to go to every time I make it up to the North Shore. Now if only I lived closer and could go more often… :)
