Eco Clean Hawaii

These folks did an excellent job with cleaning a 7 year old sofa and 8×10 carpet. The work was done at about 2 PM — by 7PM everything was dry and ready for use. The cost may not be the cheapest, but the quality of workmanship was first rate.

I had a very bad experience with Eco Clean. I was refunded but my experience was so horrible, I want everyone and their dogs to know what I went though. I’ve been dealing with these people and the CEO for sometime to get a refund, here’s what happened:
The weekend before Labor Day, our dogs got loose in our apartment when my boyfriend and I were at work. They peed on the floor, jumped on one of our sectionals (we have an L Shaped, 2 part sectional couch), and off. I called Eco Clean to have them come out to our unit to have them clean the section where the dog’s urine tainted feet were on the couch.
An Eco Clean technician came to our unit, I wasn’t home since I had work, but my boyfriend let the technician in, the tech did his work and left. My boyfriend had work that night and I didn’t get home until Saturday. When I got home, the couch was worse. The technician was supposed to sanitize and clean the 1 section, not vacuum and spot treat the entire thing. I looked on the invoice, and sure enough it said spot treatment… no sanitization.
I called the CEO of the company, to make a complaint. who basically told me that I had to talk to the technician. The technician called me and he was furious. He was yelling and cursing at me, the highlight of the conversation was «Urine doesn’t smell that bad» and he also said that he told my boyfriend before he started cleaning the couches that «If it smells like urine still, too bad, you’ll have to deal with it». The tech demanded to talk to a man because I didn’t know «what I was doing». I told him that I wasn’t going to tolerate to be spoken to in that manner and hung up. My boyfriend who was sitting on the non-​urine side of the sofa looked at me in disbelief. I called the CEO back and told him that it was unacceptable on how the tech treated me, the CEO assured me that the Tech is a «good christian family man» (I’m sorry, but if you’re a family man or a ‘christian’ you don’t speak to people that way). The CEO told me that the tech left cleaner, so I could do it myself and that the technician didn’t remember to check off the box on their invoice for «sanitation». I honestly didn’t think that was an excuse, it’s a simple invoice that this man uses multiple times per day – our sectional was 1 of 5 that he cleaned that day. The CEO offered to have the tech come back out, or have our money back. I opted for the money, I did not want the ‘lovely’ christian family man back into our house. The CEO said that he would mail it out.
Days went by, no refund in the mail. Before filing a complaint with the BBB, I decided to contact ECO Clean, who said that I needed to fill out a request for a refund. I have no clue why I wasn’t told this in the beginning, I filled out the form, per their request and mailed it to them. I included a self addressed, prepaid envelope.
On September 29^th, I finally received my check. Enclosed was a note, saying that the only reason why he was giving me a refund was because the tech was rude to me.
In honesty, I wouldn’t have made a big stink about the refund or have even asked for one. However, the audacity this man had to say that urine doesn’t smell that bad and that he wanted to speak with a man instead of me, was over the line.
IN THE FUTURE, Go on Pinterest. I was able to get the urine out of the sofa with rubbing alcohol and pet urine remover (Petco). It cost me 2 hours of my life and $ 15. No urine smell whatsoever, ECO Clean can’t even guarantee to have the urine removed.
To them, urine doesn’t smell that bad.

Those squishy parts turned black… mold. I had to go down on hands and knees to try to kill the mold, absolutely ruined carpet!!! So much for ECO CLEAN, it made my household dangerous!

We have been having a hard time keeping our beige carpet clean– especially since we have been having so much company lately. My husband found these guys and im not sure how. The guy came over and cleaned everything in about an hour. It was totally worth it! Our carpets look brand new… not a discoloration or stain anywhere and the sofa looks just as great.
