I booked this through Hotwire for 2 nights for a business trip. I’ll admit, I was leery at first. But I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was nice, the room was decent, all in all I was pleased. There isn’t a whole lot in that area but for the money the hotel was worth it. I’d stay there again!

This was actually a really nice place considering it was SO cheap! The pool was heated, my kids had fun. It was just a quick stopover for us between Legoland and the rest of our road trip. It’s definitely an older hotel, but it was clean and quiet. If you’re looking for something fancy, don’t stay at a $ 50/night hotel… I would assume that’s a no-brainer!

My wife and I needed a place to stay for a bike ride nearby. I read the reviews and thought this place would be a good Chep place to just spend the night before our ride. WRONG! It was disgusting: There was leftover food from a previous guest in the cabinet… perishable food. There was an old hunk of bread and a bunch of clipped toenails behind the nightstand. There was a very large dog that barked all night in the room next door. People live here on a full time basis. Very weird. I don’t know who wrote the previous reviews, but… oh well. Yuck!

we checked in at nite after a long day at lego land .the place is on the highway. the lobby smells stuffy. the night clerk was very friendly this is not ritz carlton its a motel. if you are looking for fancier digs then this is not the place. we got to inspect the room before check in. they were sold out for the night but they managed to find us a room for a second night. the rooms are outdated. we got a non smoking room it reeked of cigarrattes. the beds were clean the bathrooms were clean. the pillows are terrible bring your own. our first room was perfect didn’t smell too bad of cigarrattes second night the room the room they moved us too the shower didn’t have enough water preassure and the hot water wasn’t hot enough. its close to everything. skip the breakfast plenty of restaurants nearby. the place would be great if they redid the rooms. removed the cigarratte smell. make sure you get a room away from the highway less noisy.

I always wondered what happened to the furniture after«Three’s Company» went off the air. This place took the look and copied it. A communication issue caused us to lose one of two nights reserved. The downside: There were dings in the walls and counter. The carpet was frayed. It looked like someone dipped an iron in paint and made an imprint on the carpet. The patchwork on the walls looked like a second grade art project. The best feature of the room was the sleep timer button on the television remote, which didn’t work. The water never got hot enough in the tub, which only hubby used. I was not comfortable using it. The refrigerator wasn’t that cool. I kept our food in our cooler. The mattresses were not comfortable. The«plus» side: The rate includes a «breakfast.» There is whole wheat and white bread, which you can toast. The frige has a gallon of milk and a container of orange juice. You can make waffles, if you can find the batter. Hubby said that there was a cereal dispenser that I missed. Wifi is free. The toilet flushes. The pillows were actually decent. The contact card reads, «Best Hotel in Haines City,» While I disagree with the description, kudos to management for refunding the room, due to the misunderstanding about not being able to stay for two nights. I was also told that they were getting rid of their 70s bland furniture and replacing the carpet. The stay started as a negative star. The overall visit was two stars. I awarded a star since management was willing to listen to my concerns. Being willing to make the situation right and knowing I would not remove my review gives them some«street cred.»

Better Value than My First Apartment: It’s not too often that a hotel can overwhelm me with«good Service» or the amount of features for the price. That’s what happened at, Rodeway Inn,(yes, that’s how it’s spelled. With no a) in, Haines City, FL. For the same price as many lesser quality, smaller sized hotel rooms in the area, I got the following: a kitchen stocked with dishes and plate; a living room with a flat screen HDTV; a bedroom also with an HDTV flat screen; a walk-in closet; and a larger than usual bathroom. It’s not fair when a hotel room is nicer than some of my apartments. Clearly some of my Landlords have been hustling me. Actually the good people of Rodeway call this a suite and it’s the first one I’ve noticed that is appropriately labeled. In spite of my travel schedule, I stayed an extra day because I was that impressed. Even had a nice shaded area for my car to escape the triple digit heat and humidity.

I’m giving this five stars primarily on value. It’s NOT the Park Hyatt, people, but it’s one of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed at this price point. My room was clean, the water was hot, the A/C was cold, and my(granted, limited) interaction with the staff was pleasant and efficient. The bed was perfectly comfortable, the bathroom was clean and everything worked. A smallish TV worked with decent cable/satellite channel selection, and the microwave and refrigerator worked as they should. For a very inexpensive hotel, this one met or exceeded all expectations. No, it’s NOT a five-star luxury business hotel, but the price/performance ration here is exceptionally good.
