Our car got broken in to in the short time we were at the food trucks for dinner. As for the food it wasn’t the most impressive.

You must go here if you are anywhere near Haiku Marketplace. Truly makes you feel like a local and it’s an incredible taco served by a great owner.

Best fish taco I’ve ever tasted! The citrus pineapple salsa was the perfect complement to the deliciously seasoned fresh fish. So glad we stumbled across this taco stand!

Stopping for the fish taco was a mistake here. The«island fish«(Ono) had zero flavor and had the consistency of mush. It seems like they take full advantage of the captive audience. Save your appetite and the drive for Mama’s Fish House.

Kids got the chicken and pork tacos and enjoyed them. Wife and I got fish. Not impressed w/the fish taco(Ono). Was expecting grilled but it was soft cooked, mushy and had canned tuna taste to me.

Skip the afternoon crowds in Paia on the road to Hana and take a quick detour into Haiku. Just minutes off the road are the best fish tacos you will eat. The fish was perfectly cooked and topped with so much delicious goodness that the size is overwhelming – black beans, cabbage, mango salsa, cilantro, a drizzle of sour cream topped with jalapenos. My husband summed it up as the best damn taco ever!

Cook was completely scatter brain and slow as a snail. I waited 40 minutes for 6 tacos that were under cooked. I had to tell the guy several times what my order was and he still kept screwing it up. Unsanitary with lots of cross contaminating for anyone looking for a vegetarian taco, food was so bad I threw half of it in the trash. For $ 34 I feel robbed!

Amazing fish and pork tacos! Stopped on our way back on the Road to Hana. So worth the quick drive to the town of Haiku. Absolutely delicious and authentic!

We have traveled the world in search of fish tacos, among other things! The fish tacos we had today at Island Taco are at the top of our list. Made with love, outstanding tandoori flavored Ono, and a host of other ingredients made them first rate. Definitely make the drive and enjoy!

The fish tacos were amazing! They hooked it up with soo much good stuff on top that we had to eat them with a fork but they gave us extra tortillas so I had 4 tacos! It is such a good deal the tacos are very inexpensive and I would highly recommend coming here!

Disappointed. Just drove a long way from ka’anapali, starving myself, on the way to ziplining to get here for TACOS before our adventure and were met with, «we don’t serve tacos on Tuesdays and Thursdays.» We came on a Thursday not knowing because no Unilocalers have mentioned it. They serve Indian food tues/thurs. One star for no tacos! But, the employee was nice and friendly. We chose the Thai bus truck next door instead.

Stopped here for lunch on the recommendation of some locals and this place was so good. One taco will fill you up. The mango salsa was the best. Service was great and had further recommendations for more stuff to do on the island.

They were okay. I guess $ 5 tacos are considered a good price for touristy spots, but we found cheaper more delicious tacos elsewhere in Maui. They ARE humongous though. but loaded with toppings and not meat. Kinda more like a salad in a medium sized tortilla. I guess I’m just used to LA and Arizona street tacos so nothing really compares. Quick friendly service though.

So pleased these guys are back in business. Busy being the key word. Five dollar tacos, your choice of fish, pork or chicken in either corn or flour tortilla, fully loaded with beans, cheese, jalapeño, cabbage, avocado, salsa and sour cream. I recommend the flour tortilla because they hold up WAY better to the wet, juicy interior than the corn(s). Kinda a long wait if they’re busy, but can’t beat the value, convenience, and super friendly new owners.

The fish taco was really good and a little spicy. Lots of fresh veggies and a slice of lime, so it’s healthy and good for you. Nice casual atmosphere with outdoor seating in the shade. You can even bring your dog!
