Best haircut I’ve had in years. Friendly service too. They said that what I wrote before was too short for a review, but what lose does anyone need to know. I liked the haircut a lot and Lori was very friendly.

This is a no stars review. I purchased a Groupon package deal that included a manicure, facial, cut and brow shaping. Lori arrived 30 minutes late for my appointment and was unable to do more than cut and color, except for t he cream she applied to my face while shampooing because I had to leave to go to work. She charged me $ 75 in addition to the groupon for the coloring. I asked for«less blonde» and was given«no blonde» I asked her to apply highlights to lighten it up, and she did apply some foil but there are absolutely no highlights in my hair. It looks like color I could have done myself out of a box. I called the next day to arrange for the services not rendered and for highlights to be put in to correct the color to whatever extent it could be corrected. This time, I left after waiting 30 minutes. The owner of the salon in which she rents a chair indicated that lateness was a regular occurrence with her. Lori offered a third appointment, but, really?! I don’t have the time to waste on a stylist in whom I have no confidence in either her ability or even her reliability to show up. Lesson learned. Think about why a stylist needs to be on Groupon and find someone with a solid following elsewhere.

I got my haircut by Lori here and it was one of the best cuts I’ve ever gotten, all organic products and she actually sits you down for a one on one consultation and finds out exactly what you want done with your hair and anything else she needs to know. She has a great eccentric and fun personality and talks to you throughout the process. The best part is that if you aren’t satisfied with you cut, you can go back within a week and get it fixed free of charge! Highly recommend

Lori try’s hard to give her customers a great experience. I feel that she would succeed better is she took some classes on professional manners. Reserve the amount of talking you do. The experience is about your customer who wants to relax not about your opinion on GMO’s and healthy living. Tone down the cussing. Be more concerned about your customer and not about providing others with your opinions while working. If your customer is quiet let them relax. The cut was fine, the color so far is good, I hope it stays. I am okay with that. What I did not like was the scalp massage. I have had those before and this one did not feel relaxing but more like someone was pushing my head forward. The shampoo also lacked a relaxed feeling. The owner of the place decided to wash his cat’s food tin in my sink prior to me getting my hair washed. You think I did not notice? Gross. Lori attempted to wax my brows and when I got home I had to work on them more and noticed scabs where she had pulled. In all 7 years of getting my brows waxed I have never had this problem. When she dried my hair, my head kept getting pushed forward. Then she looked disappointed that I gave a 10% tip. Sorry, but I went to be relaxed and I left almost at a dead run.

After several bad hair cutting experiences it was so nice to find one that takes the time to hear what you would like. I will most definitely be returning to maintain my new short hair. I have never had so many compliments on my hair. Thank you!

When I walked into this salon the first thing I noticed was the terrible smell! The owner had a pet bird. INTHESALON. It smelled like a dirty pet shop. She seemed to think it was perfectly normal to keep her bird in her shop. I did not. When it was my turn to get a cut the owner sat down way too close to me, and asked me, very intensely, about what I wanted, how I found her salon, how she liked to do everything organically… The haircut was fine. The bird and the owner both creeped me out! And the scary Pier 1/Walmart«mediterranean» interior styling. Imagine really bad wrought iron furniture, grape vine wallpaper motif, faux antique plaster wall. This place wasn’t a cool, clean, comfortable place for a cut.

I was extremely nervous about going someplace new to get my hair cut. I’m really picky about my hair. I voiced these concerns and I was made to feel more comfortable and she repeated back to me what I wanted and I was as clear as possible… maybe I just have too high of standards for my hair but I really wasn’t impressed with the cut afterwards. I am already planning on going back to my hair dresser back home to have her fix it. To top it off her credit card swiper wasn’t working and I wasn’t informed of this ahead of time so I had to go next door and get charged to use the ATM so I could pay in cash. All in all, she did an alright job but I’ll definitely be returning to my original hair dresser even though she’s an hour away
