I have been here two times. The first time my eyebrows came out OK. The woman ignored the shape I asked for and she was pretty rough, I had small scabs the next day. I went back on a different occasion to see if there was someone else and there was. I showed her a picture(one of theirs) of the shape I was looking for and said I needed to grow them out slightly. I asked the woman to leave the areas where I was growing them back. She ignored my requests completely and changed the shape of my eyebrows. She made them much thinner and in a very odd shape. She told me that it was a very popular and beautiful shape. I’ve been getting my eyebrows threaded for 13 years, and I have never had anyone make my brows look so ridiculous. In addition, I still had to pay. I guess it’s worth the 45 minute drive to Diva Eyebrows in Manchester, CT, which I highly recommend.

This weekend as we were in the Hadley area we decided to go to the Hampshire Mall to run a few errands. As we were passing by this store my partner decided to stop in and get her eyebrows threaded. When we stepped into this little shop the employee was polite and asked us to sit in the small waiting area while she finished another customer. When it was finally my partners turn, the employee went to work on her eyebrows and did a pretty decent job with the shape and arch. This shop would have received another star in my book, except for the fact that the employee didn’t ask my partner how she wanted her eyebrows shaped and also was a little rough with her threading. The end result was great, but the next morning you could see little areas under her brow where the employee had pinched her skin. Overall, it wasn’t a bad place to stop even with the minor issues. The store is a bit divey and the waiting area was a bit uncomfortable but in the end the results were pretty good and the price was great. Just be aware that you may have to be vocal about you brow expectations before you sit down.

I didn’t have time to get my brows done in Hawaii before coming home so my mom suggested we come here to get them done. It is not exactly the most appealing place, with one seat set up in the middle of the store so that everyone walking by can see you but then again it is Hampshire mall which has always been a little on the lonely side. Appearances aside, the older woman who works there is sweet and takes her time carefully threading every tiny little bugger that is still intact in the skin. Yes it’s painful but beauty is pain right? For $ 10 that’s a deal! I’m paying close to $ 25 with tip in Hawaii! Oct31challenge: 19⁄31
