This place ain’t no joke. Talk about authentic. It was amazing walking through the aisles looking at all the cool things I’ve never seen before. Straight up statues of weeping Jesus heads, candles, piñatas, and witchcraft repellant cologne. Tons of herbs, spices, chiles, and hot sauces. I ordered a Cuban sandwich to go while I was looking around. The sandwich was huge and very filling, and decently priced. The one guy working, was also making sandwiches, and tending the register, but was very nice. They also accept credit and even Amex. Unique and hard to find things from Mexico, Central and South America. I was looking for something for an Ecuadorian friend of mine, and the only thing they had was a bag of candy which I thought was odd, because the name of the store is Ecuador Andino. Definitely will be back to try the other foods. Seriously, check it out! Plenty of parking, and the staff speaks English for us Gringos.

My Go to Grocery Store for all of the Authentic Mexican Products, Cheeses, Tortillas, Nopales, Crema, Chorizo etc., that my family uses in our daily cooking! The Mexican snacks, sweets and traditional fiesta items, are always a treat as well!

Friendly owner with a good selection of Mexican candies! Price is average, I ordered a burrito it’s actually pretty good. The location is right by Hampton Inn in the same plaza, so if you crave Mexican candies I recommend this cute market. Did i mention they got Mexican soft drinks as well? Overall, pretty neat place!

In the college town that is, Amherst, MA, an area where«goin’ out» means«we’re goin’ to Applebees,» the Ecuador Andino Store is an awesome escape for this homesick So Cal native. A reality check of sorts, where I can both reprogram myself and fill my stomach with tacos de la calle. So much more than made to order nourishment for Latinos, Ecuador Andino Store is forced to be the Latino Mall, offering more than just familiar food and beverages, but staples like CDs, phone cards and even Metro PCS phones so that you can fully emerge yourself in this not so local culture. _________________ Notes: * This is one of the whitest cities I’ve ever been to… Yankee Candle was born literally 15 minutes from here. Good to see a hint of color here. * A cluttered shop, aisle after aisle, filled with food as well as household items, you can buy pretty much anything here. * Opens late and closes early =(

If you are a fan of Mexican and South American cuisine and products, I would recommend stopping in at Ecuador Andino. At first glance, it may not seem like much, but it has it where it counts. While it does have delicious food that you can order at the counter, most of the store serves as a small market. I have yet to find better prices for some of our favorite Mexican and South American foodstuffs. The owner and staff are incredibly kind and it always feels good to support a business like this. Take a look! Favorite item: Valentina Hot Sauce

Recently we stopped in at this store and kitchen to buy some dinner as well as some items from their shop. When we walked in we were reminded why we love this place so much. The store itself is chalked full of items ranging from CD’s to special candles. This shop also has a great selection of Hispanic foods and drinks. The other reason we like this store is because they have a decent kitchen that pumps or some decent food. The last time we came in we purchased their cow tongue tacos as well as a cow tongue burrito. The burrito was better than the tacos, but overall they were both great. The staff here is also extremely polite and willing to hold a great conversation with you. In the end, we have to say that the food here is pretty good and the store is even better. We can’t wait to come here again!

Yum. Delicious, no-frills Ecuadorean take-out chow served up fast at a latino market with a tiny kitchen. Señor Tony is the owner and mans the cash register. He is a gem! Such a nice man. Portions are large, taste great and come garnished with fresh green onions, cilantro etc.

I’ve got a thing for un-frilly ethnic food with a side of funky… whether that means it’s being dished up by an interesting character, or it’s in a strange or hard-to-find location, or you either need to speak a foreign language or point to pictures if you want to place an order. Ecuador Andino is located in Hadley not far over the bridge from Northampton in a rundown«village» of storefronts that used to be known as the Hadley Village Barn Shops. I think it goes by another name now, but long-time locals will still know it as the Village Barn Shops. Ecuador Andino appears to be the flagship and is sadly surrounded by vacancies in a plaza that has seen better days… but perhaps it is making a comeback? It’s latin groceries with a kitchen that bangs out some pretty tasty, no-fuss eats. We placed our order at the register counter then got comfy on one of the brightly colored, umbrella-shaded picnic tables outside. The view was… well…of the parking lot, abandoned storefronts and a bit too much peeling paint… but it somehow managed to feel surprisingly cheery? Maybe it was because our picnic table was sunshine yellow, or because it was a beautiful day and I was with good company… maybe it was because I was pleased with myself for finding a new place… or because I liked the smiling faces behind the counter… not sure, but something in the mix was definitely working for me. We ordered a few things to share… pork sopes, a Cuban sandwich, and a burrito. Happy to report that all were terrific, and the assorted sauces kept us busy combining new flavors. I’m not sure how the sopes differ from tacos? When I had sopes in Mexico(throughout my youth, as I grew up in Texas and made many treks across the border), they were on sort of thick slightly puffy pastry tortilla things and were open more like a tostada… the ones at Ecuador Andino just seemed like tacos to me(but good tacos, so no worries). The prices were reasonable for the area, but not exactly hole-in-the-wall, back alley or taco truck prices. I think most dishes were in the $ 8-$ 10 range and big enough to share. I have a feeling we’ll be putting Ecuador Andino on our regular rotation; it’s a sweetie pie :)

Mexican style is being generous this is not like the taco stands/trucks in LA. They are very nice here and the service was fast but the food is not so great.

Nice little market & takeout spot where you can get some good Mexican style food. I’ve sampled the chicken sopes(soft corn tortillas with refried beans, shredded chicken, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion & a dose of fresh salsa); chicken torta(huge sandwich with chicken, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo — huge like two person huge); chicken burrito(loaded up with everything & weighs a ton) and chicken tacos(similar to sopes description). This does display a disturbing chicken trend on my part but my associates have sampled steak, pork and chorizo varieties, refusing to share because they are all so delicious. Portions are hearty & the menu grows larger every time I stop in. Very friendly staff & a cool little market to poke around in too.

Had the beef tacos and they were pretty tasty. Nice owner and a happy cook in back. A little pricy for being a «kitchen attached to a market,» but the ingredients were fresh. I went for lunch on a Thursday at 12:30 and no other customers were there. If I need a quick lunch in the area again, I’ll definitely go back.

The sign says it’s an Ecuadorean market. I was at the Asian market across the road and figured I’d stop by to see what kind of selection they had for future culinary ventures. The place was fairly small. They have a menu with Mexican-ish foods. I didn’t try any so I can’t comment on that part — but the grocery store was great! Sauces, masa, mate, bebidas, tortillas, candy, even South and Central American souvenirs. I got some white corn tortillas(which seem to be hard to find where I am), El Pato tomato sauce, queso fresco and Mexican coke(obv.). Enchiladas? Here I come!!!

This is a Latin Market /Restaurant /Convenient Store. The food very good and is made fresh to order. Many different options to choose from. When I am in the mood for latin food I stop by this place to grab a bite to eat and any other items I might want to bring home with me(they have latin grocery items that are hard to find in a regular grocery store)

Different from the other local places, but still delivering an exceptional product. The food is a hybrid of Salvarodian, Eduacorian, Mexican spices, ingredients, and flavors. Would have liked to have homemade tortillas, but the food was still fresh and delicious. Highly recommend the tamales– they’re not what you’re used to, and have sauteed onions, shredded chicken, chickpeas, and cumin. Slather them with homemade verde– so tasty! We’ll definitely be back. It’s priced similarly to Mi Tierra and La Veracruzana and incorporates its own unique flavor and flair.

Amazing tacos. Freshly made to order and full of delight. This store may not be flashy, but definitely stop by. The owner is really nice and this is one of the few places in western mass where I can get horchata!

Awesome grocery with staples from many Latin American spots… Tony, the owner, is awesome. He is from Ecuador, but has great Mexican products for your South-of-the-Border delights. From beverages, to produce, to cured meat-and-cheeses! We try to go every weekend to stock up on supplies for moles, salsas, tortillas, etc. He also has tacos!!! Great tasting, and he pack your plate full of goodness for the price. If you are all about a proper Hispanic market and do not want to drive all over Western Mass, stop in and shop. Great place for foodies looking for those important ingredients.
