Clean and spacious rooms. We got free breakfast and appetizer vouchers upon check-in. Very nice gym and pool to sneak in a workout. Reasonable bar at the hotel. What they can better is clean their windows! I had a very foggy view(not because it was foggy) because of how dirty the windows are.

Very nice hotel conveniently located to UMass campus and all regional highways. Comfortable beds, showers with excellent water pressure, nicely furnished rooms, very friendly staff, and well maintained facilities. I’m very impressed. There is also an indoor pool and hot tub(and exercise room) for the down hours

I am here A LOT for business. If I added up all of the times I have stayed here over the past two years it would probably be two or three months. I have also stayed in my fair share of higher end hotels in major metropolitan areas — NYC, Vegas, San Fran. With all that in mind, I can honestly say that this is the best hotel staff I have ever seen. Friendly, accommodating, competent, and genuine. I can also tell that there is some good management behind them. They are well trained with good attention to detail. I have witnessed multiple improvements that I had previously mentioned on satisfaction surveys, so whether it was because of me or not, I can see that they care about making those kinds of improvements. Rooms are comfortable, spacious, and well equipped. The hotel amenities are in great condition — fitness center, dining room/bar area, etc. Lots of other reviewers have made positive comments about the location and I agree with them, I would just add a few other things that are important to me as a business traveler: 1. There is a traffic light right next to the hotel so it is easy to turn left onto route 9 if necessary. 2. There is a grocery store right across the street. Because every room in the hotel has a mini fridge, this is a great way to save food costs and eat a normal diet rather than takeout all the time. 3. But speaking of takeout, if you need a night in, Delivery Express(google it) delivers a wide variety of food from lots of local restaurants right to your hotel room door. Order online. 4. There is a dry cleaner right across the street if you have a clothing emergency.

We stayed here St. Patrick’s weekend. Had a relaxing stay. We enjoyed a glass of wine by the fire pit at night and a dip in the whirlpool in the morning. Best Marriott I’ve stayed in!

Solid location in close proximity to any of the five colleges, comfortable and clean rooms, decent pool and hot tub, good little fitness center.

Pretty nice location right in the middle of shopping and restaurants. Nice looking hotel with nice lobby and rooms. Website said that my room should’ve had a microwave but only had fridge. Good thing I didn’t buy any microwaveable meals when I stopped at Trader Joe’s before checking in. Bed was comfortable, linens were nice. Plenty of parking and pool was warm. Good sized hot tub and gym. Disappointed that this Courtyard wouldn’t comp breakfast for a Platinum rewards member.

This hotel gets a 4⁄5 as far as Courtyards go, definitely above average. Here’s why: * Get a corner room if you can, they are simply enormous and with a spacious bathroom as well. Modern widescreen TV, microwave and small fridge were nice touches to the room. * Free wi-fi with pretty good speed. * There is a full bar down in the lobby that is open until 11PM. * Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. * Aesthetically the exterior of the hotel is very nice, evoking some nice New England architecture. My only complain is that the breakfast was a little below average for a Courtyard. The eggs and breakfast potatoes need some work.

Location is primo for visiting Amherst College, and the quality of the room finishes is quite nice – especially the beds and bed linens. Very clean. Nice to have a mini-fridge, but no microwave. The breakfast buffet would be fine if it were free. But it’s not free. And – oops! – I didn’t realize that until we’d filled up our plates and sat down. For more than $ 10 per person, I’d as soon go somewhere else. Wait staff is extremely pleasant and efficient, though. No one gave us the code for the free wi-fi til the next morning, which was a pain. But, aside from that, the front-desk staff was chatty and helpful.

Friendly staff. They let us check in a few hours early. The rooms were very clean and bed was comfortable. Set up was good with a king size bed and a sitting area. TV, pool(didn’t use) and really nice grounds. We came back after a wedding and they kept the hotel bar open late. Even nicer was the fire they had going outside. Really comfortable lounge and nice service.

I. LOVE. THE. COURTYARD. HADLEY. AMHERST. Actually, I’ve loved most of the Marriott’s I’ve stayed in, but this one really takes the cake. Let’s first deal with location: not far from the center of Amherst, it is located«on the strip» known as Route 9. Across the street is an open-all-night diner, a grocery store, and a liquor store. Across the street and around the corner is another grocery store, a pharmacy, and the post office. The Hangar(where you can sample the infamous WINGS) is just past the post office, as is Rafters, a sports bar. On the other side of the hotel and down the road you can find a gas station, a bank, Chili’s, Applebee’s, Pizza Hut, and the Hampshire Mall, housing stores, movie theaters and restaurants. Trader Joe’s, McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Burger King, KFC, and Taco Bell are just a hop, skip, and a jump away, not to mention Wal-Mart, Barnes and Noble, Whole Foods, and Panera. So, right off the bat, many conveniences and Northampton is just a short drive down the road. The hotel itself is immaculate. The rooms are spacious, clean, and among the most comfortable I’ve ever stayed in. The staff has always been helpful, the noise level is low, there are no odd smells(possibly due to the fact that they don’t allow pets or smoking), and it’s a great place for a family getaway, a business traveler, or a romantic weekend. Free wi-fi in the room, as I recall, and a pool and a Jacuzzi are located on-site. Superior to any of the area hotels/B&B’s I’ve stayed in. I live in Amherst and have literally opted to spend a night there just for fun. Splurge for the corner room with a King Bed. You’ll feel like royalty.

At first I balked at the $ 150 pricetag. Just seemed a little steep for a hotel on Rt. 9 with plazas all around(not the cute Berkshire micro-hotel you’d pay that kind of money for), but I walked away thinking it was worth it. The hotel was immaculate, the rooms well-appointed and exceedingly clean. The pool is tiny but very nice(points for the hot tub!). The service was just so friendly. Amazing you’re just a couple hours out from Boston and people are genuinely nice(imagine!). They did have a nice bar and a cute breakfast room off the lobby and I believe the continental breakfast was $ 7 but I’m glad we went w/the diner across the street because it was delicious and super cute. Message me if you have more questions about this Marriott. I would recommend it to families especially!

Nice, clean, big room facing the courtyard. Tons of fluffy pillows on the king sized bed with a couch, table, desk and still room to wrap Christmas gifts. The lobby had lots of seating with a really nice set up in front of the fireplace and with a flat screen. Would have been a nice place to catch the Celts playing. We actually used the pool and hot tub, and I was impressed with the 24-hour gym. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the hotel staff was nothing but nice.
