Bagels are decent but service is slow and so rude. Went this morning for 2 bagels toasted with cream cheese. One was made fairly quickly and the other took ten minutes before they made it. I asked the cashier what was going on, because now my toasted bagel will be cold, and she mentioned something to one of the guys making the orders. Don’t know his name but believe he is the only african american guy working there. He said my ticket was going to come after the next one. WTF? So I wait as he slowly wraps someone else’s order while the three cashiers stand around chatting. I finally get my other bagel and he has the nerve to say«you are welcome». Welcome for what? You had me wait even after I said something and knowing the first part of my order came out ten minutes ago. Won’t be returning. There is a better bagel place down the road called The Bagel House where the service is friendly with a smile.

While the food is good — it is very disorganized. There were 10 employees one morning and although it was busy it took extremely too long. 35 minutes for 2 bagels is a bit ridiculous and the reasons I was given for the delay were less than sincere. Not going back.

Waited 20 minutes for a «well done, Taylor Ham on a sesame seed bagel, with mustard» — I got 3 pieces of burnt ham — no mustard — the sesame bagel was right — though it was cold and chewy. There are soooooo many bagel shops in this area — this is one to avoid.

Worst staff ever!!! The attitudes are terrible. they don’t serve what is on their menu and they don’t ask how you want things and then don’t take responsibility when its s***. my friend and I ordered bagels they didn’t ask if we wanted them toasted so we assumed they would be… wrong assumption. I ordered an iced caramel latte which on the menu says coffee milk over ice with whipped cream. what I got was nothing like that plus a lot of attitude from some server who wanted to argue with me about the fact that they didn’t have them to the list never go here waste of money those people should be fired!

Horrible place! I order their special #6 which is an italian chicken cutlet sandwich. I understand an Italian sandwich is suppose to be cold, but at least heat up the chicken! The chicken was rock solid(straight out of the frig) and had an old taste to it. The breading was barely sticking on to the chicken. Plus the lady that made it took her sweet time putting it together. I don’t know how it takes 15 minutes to put 2 slices of salami and cheese and a cold piece of chicken on old bread.(She probably thought she made a master piece)

I used to frequent this please quite often. Somewhere along the line is your day have gotten worse and worse. It all started when they accidentally billed me on extra 70 dollars for bagels. I guess the joke was on me for still giving them business after this incident. I came in this morning in order to bagels. One was a bacon egg and cheese and the other was a bagel with spread. I noticed 15 minutes went by and people that had came in after me were leaving before me with their food. the young girl working there was calling out everyones number but mine. I asked her if my food was ready and she says oh yeah like she forgot. I’m glad that they think my time is not valuable. NOT! Totally skip this place. A business that does not value with customers, does not deserve getting any business.

Bagels always fresh, cream cheese options are great. My favs are the veggie and the walnut/raisin. The service is sometimes very fast or slow depending on when you go. They recently did renovations so the place has booths now for a cozier look. The employees usually look frustrated I’m guessing because it’s busy in the mornings. But short blonde lady with glasses is polite.

This place sucks. I ordered a taylor ham, egg and cheese and it took 25 minutes because they lost my order 3 times. They weren’t apologetic and couldn’t care any less that i stood there waiting for them. Um pretty expensive and not worth it.

I am a REGULAR customer at this store… I’m ALWAYS greeted with SMILES&GREATSERVICE. The food is terrific. The girls behind the counter are quick with a smile & start my day off right. The owners should be proud to have such a wonderful staff representing their company. A BIGTHANKYOU to the staff for making us feel like family instead of just a customer.

Food is excellent, pricey but overall its worth it. However their customer service is as horrible as good as the food is. Ive been going there for 3years and ive never been greated with a smile no big deal but it would be nice to see some smiles. It seems everyone who works there is miserable, attitudes all the time. And not to mention they move slow as shit in there and go even slower when there is a line. But like I said food is excellent. And the lil guy who does the grill, hes very nice

I have read several reviews about the customer service here. I will admit that several years back, I felt like the woman who took my order was a bit cold and aloof. The food was good and I live so close to them, I decided to give it several more tries. Aside from the one staff member I previously mentioned, the rest are quite nice and accomadating, especially the guy who mans the grill. They have excellent bagels and cream cheese selections. The quality of the cold cuts is great(boars head) I have also tried their cheeseburger, paninis, and egg platters. All very good although I usually substiute the home fries in the egg platters for potato salad(just my preference) They do get very busy on weekend mornings-afternoons. But hey, there isn’t anywhere nearby that even compares in quality. Simply call ahead and you can be in and out within 5 minutes. My only complaint is they definitely are a bit over-priced. Sides like lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, cheddar and monterary jack are all charged al la carte, something Ive never seen at a deli. Overall I say give it a shot. Dont let some lady with resting bitch face deter you away from some good food!

I work in NYC and these bagels are better! Sad but true, other than Ess-a-Bagel on 3rd Ave(or downtown on 1st Ave), it’s very hard to find an authentic bagel in the city. Pam and the crew do it right here — chewy, a bit of sweetness in the dough, some crunch on the bottom. Oy! That, my friends, is a bagel! Not the crapola at Panera, not the frauds on the coffee carts scattered across NYC. My theory on the whole fake bagel thing is when the«I’ll have it toasted» phenomena became popular, vendors said, hey, it’s hard to tell crap from the real thing once you toast it so let’s go cheapy-cheapy and make fake, bread like bagels! How sad! The coffee carts can’t toast so you taste the crapiness right away. Anyway, this place loses a star because the help can be a little dopey sometimes. Other than that, keep that REAL bagel recipe in fine form, please! Not many places left that can produce a real bagel!

I’ve since been back here recently and they have done a complete 180 on their service. The line was long as usual on a weekend morning but it seemed to move quickly and after my order was taken, the food was out soon after. As always, the bagels and coffee were excellent. A little on the pricey side but well worth it as there are no bagel stores in the area that can compete with them. Kudos to management for recognizing the problem and correcting it.

Always very good service here… the bagels could be a little softer though. The tayor ham egg and cheese bagels sandwich is on point and the breakfast platters are big and tasty… I also like how you can sit and eat in the restaurant. I have had sandwiches here as well and they are good too. They use boar head which is good…

Disclaimer: I worked at a bagel shop in a past life, and therefore have«high» or what I personally consider to be «reasonable» expectations of the food/service at such an establishment. These expectations may or may not include: 1. Assuming the staff will get you in and out quickly, considering this is a work morning. 2. Expecting the staff would serve food only they would eat themselves. 3. That the staff would, if when toasting a bagel and it gets burnt within an inch of its life, replace said bagel with a new one. It would not for example, be acceptable to wrap the blackened bagel and hand it to a customer. 4. When relaying a story about… let’s say, personal matters, to do so on personal time. 5. Treat the customers with some semblance of general courtesy. 6. Have iced coffee. Normally I like to do a little wrap up conclusion that just sends my stellar reviews home, but unfortunately I believe the above speaks for itself.

Adequate bagel at best today… I tried an everything bagel and it was just about flavorless(really, with the onion, and the garlic, still, no flavor). It was just fair texturally too. Nothing to write home about. Pretty«meh» sandwiches too. I walked in and was ignored for about 4 minutes(I kept track) even though there were at least 5 employees behind the counter, and only one other customer who was already being served. Service was quite unfriendly too. Although I am an extremely polite and patient customer, I expect to be treated with at least a modest amount of professionalism. A woman, who I believe was the manager, was crabbing about, sniping at the staff, and seemed to be pissed at the world. Then the girl who finally, almost begrudgingly helped me was barely grunting her words. No «thank you,» just shove my change at me and then turn your back. I won’t be going back. UPDATE: got a rude and uncalled for message from the owner. Apparently, he/she doesn’t like criticism and berated me for writing a less-than stellar review. The message also chastised Unilocalers for writing reviews at all. This not only solidified my choice not to return to the place, but also made me question how he/she could be in business.
