Taste of Mexi Co

This place is a hit or miss for me. Originally I was going to give this place a 4 out of 5 but the food I got this morning was very poor in quality. I am not sure if this was because the food sat for a bit while waiting for pick up, someone didn’t cook the food long enough. I had ordered the small taquitos (which I love, and are right for the price, when I go there to order). I am not sure what happened, but the food I received this morning was soggy and the meat inside the taquitos was on the medium rare side. The guacamole was brown and you could taste that it was not fresh like it usually is. I hope that this will be fluke, since I think that they have some really good dishes here.

Well I must say this place has really improved since they first opened it must be the señoras cooking in the cocina because the tacos are really good the cocido is also tasty I’m gonna give these señoras a thumbs up y 5 Stars

I am laying here in a food coma — my car is in the shop and I was hungry… not in the mood for pizza I looked up «delivery in Hacienda Hts «Pizza, Chinese (Chinese here too authentic) and Mexican !!!
Wow, I’ve never seen a Mexican place deliver.
Let me give it a shot– I got nachos deluxe and a small side of rice. (I hate Spanish rice but it looked really orange online so I liked that) ‚
Good phone service, fast delivery, food was warm, driver was super friendly and honest. I’m sick and gave him too much money. He gave it back ! The food was actually good, nice surprise in this corner of the Far East SGV.

If you want dry tasteless tacos. This is the place. Even their employees dislike the food.

I came here for the first time last week and the lady who took my order was very nice (I’m sad that I forgot her name). However, today I came in and ordered the exact same thing (super fries no meat) and when I pulled up outside of the restaurant I saw one of the employees eating chips from under the heating lamp as she worked. This bothered me because she was not washing her hands and she shouldn’t have been picking at any of the food to begin with.
When I approached the register I informed another employee, Brianna, of what I saw and she completely tuned me out. She didn’t apologize, no eye contact no anything. Now the other employee continued to walk back and fourth from the back dealing with food, not washing her hands at all. Before she began cutting the Asada she only wiped her hands on a dirty looking damp towel. It totally grossed me out. I really think they need to crack down on hand washing and start wearing gloves when dealing with people’s food. I will contact the health department regarding this concern.
Edited: Also, they have no option on their price menu for no meat. So I was forced to pay $ 8 for some regular fries with cheese sour cream and Pico on it

I’ve literally been trying to call in an order for delivery for the past 30min, very annoying

2 starts for delivery, 1 star for food quality. Ordered a Carne asada buritto, taquitos, hard shell tacos and Carne asada nacho supreme. It all arrived cold. Nachos were missing. Those arrived 15min later and we’re soggy/​cold. Good food if you just need a Mexican food fix and don’t want to drive.
Edited. 20 minutes after eating stomach flipped and food came right back out.

As far as Mexican fast food goes this place is really good.
Very good selection with decent prices.
I really enjoy their soups, Cocido & Albondigas very yummy!
They have tasty taquitos & burritos too.
Nachos are huge here and were pretty yummy!
The staff has been nice and helpful and they deliver too!

BEST MEXICAN FOOD ever! my favorite is the Burritos & tortas! Sometimes they do lag on the phone when you first call to order which can get super annoying! But overall I love this place !

YAY! CHEAT DAY! Been good all week, in need of a carne asada burrito…
It has been months since my last visit here. And I didn’t feel like going to 2 different places to get my family fed. Enter SUPER FRIES…
Let me just say my girls aren’t BIG fans of meat… yet they ate all of their mini super fries (add carne asada). Yes, the mini size is a good size portion. And yes, I had to sample a little bit. And yes, they were really good. Carne asada, beans, cheese, sour cream and guacamole. Who wouldn’t love these?
I love how they now have hot green salsa, in addition to mild green salsa. Made me sweat but in a good way.
Minus one star for keeping me on the phone ON HOLD for 8 minutes (not exaggerating) before I hung up!

Very awesome service and fast delivery, the Asada fries are the absolute best, come here or even order from home for a quick tasty Mexican food fix! Although I was a little peeved I had to pay extra since the minimum amount for delivery was $ 15. Other than that the food is great!

I had their combination plate of three soft tacos. I chose my favorite al pastor. The meat was tasty and had good flavor but the tortilla was a bit greasy. It was like dipped I oil too much for my liking. I can live with it but I would’ve liked to have seen a little less oil. The size of the tacos are satisfactory. The rice and beans were very good. I also ordered fries. They weren’t as crispy as thin as they were and again maybe a little too much oil. Overall I liked it and I would go back to see how the burrito or enchiladas are.

Ok food. Good service. I ordered the menudo and it was very bland. Seemed from a can.
Still this place is much better than the other restaurants that were here before it

Would be more exciting if the food had any flavor. Have they even HEARD of salt & spices?
Glad I checked it out, but not worth the money.

tip: great salsa verde and pickled jalapenos.
Clean small taqueria that also focuses on catering. Carnitas nachos piled on high with fresh guacamole that’s chunkier than most places. Carnitas had some crunch which is exactly what i was looking for. Horchata also available for 2 bucks. Also have pizza but i don’t see it anywhere on the menu so you may have to ask for it.

Been here once.
Likes:
–One of the only authentic Mexican foods in the area.
–They serve carne asada fries (my favorite). Also, they have half sizes of carne asada fries, which is perfect for someone who can never finish their food.
–Friendly service.
–Parking lot.
–Fairly clean.
Dislikes:
–While the portion of the carne asada fries was quite big in general, the carne asada meat was kind of skimpy. Considering I had to pay extra for carne asada, I would have thought I would get a generous amount of the meat. I didn’t, which was kind of disappointing.
Recommend:
–Yes!

I couldn’t decide between Chili Verde and Chili relleno so I picked both. I ordered the Chili relleno plate with Chili Verde poured over the top. The rice is really good and my friend ordered the tacos. He was very happy with them and loved the homemade Horchata.
I have not tried the albondiga soup but that is next.

I would like to give this a better score… But they screwed up the delivery and we were short an order. I called and they offered to bring the order… I agreed … However now my lunch time is over. The food was excellent. I’m not sure if I will do delivery again

In fact, I was pleasantly surprised.

and better than I expected al pastor

They also have carne asada fries
…and they deliver to my house…
This WILL be bad for my arteries.
Word to the wise, get the carne asada fries without beans and add more cheese, thank me later.
