Empire Hookah Lounge

Super laid back atmosphere, you don’t feel like you’re at a club like other places. Prices are fair, flavors are great, plus they have tangiers which is awesome. Staff was super laid back and helpful. When I went there it ended up being movie night which was pretty cool! I buy most of my sheesha from them and any time I want to smoke at a lounge it’s my go to place! Well worth the 25 minute drive

Updating my review because idk… my last review was in DINO AGES! anywhoooo… this place is basically AMAZEBALLS. they have tangiers (duh) which is literally the top of the top… pure gold… top shelf s***…service is always ace… music is SO unbelievably perfect… KYGO?! MATOMA?! THOMAS JACK?! THIS IS LIKE MY TROP HOUSE /​HOOKAH DREAM LOUNGE!!! not only do they have all these wonderful things… they also just started a GAME ROOM! you heard that right… GAME ROOM! I’m soooo addicted to the darts game they have and the pool table and not to mention you can play your own music back there while playing! like I’m feelin like one direction might help my awesome ninja throw for the darts game. pop that 1D on and BAM! WINNER! if you’re looking for a fun chill hookah bar look no further!!! this is it! it’s what Jafar from Aladdin would say «a diamond in the roughhhhhhh» ok byeeeeeeee!!!

Excellent hooka and they carry tangiers. Super friendly staff and the owner is super cool and make ls you feel at home. The only negative is the lack of air quality and I would love to see the furniture get upgraded and more comfortable, other then that I would recommend this spot for a hooka break

This place is chill and they make a great hookah. Customer service is great and the owner is chill and really appreciative of his customers. This is my new spot. Me and my boys love this place. I would recommend it to everyone I know.

Honestly my favorite hookah spot, all of the workers and the owners are awesome people. The hookah is always good and affordable. They never try to push or upsell you. Definitely recommend it.

Gold standard hookah if you ask me. Perfect spot for a date night. My boyfriend and I always come & try different flavors. The owner/​manager is always on top with his customer service by making sure he gives excellemt quality hookah and keeps up with coal rotations, and always has a good variety of music playing. The theme, lights, and furniture they have makes you feel comfortable, nothing but goos vibes at this spot. Everytime I go, I see familar faces so that tells you right there that people keep coming back for this spot for hookah. The employees know how to gain customer loyalty. Im not a regular who comes eveeyday but ill definetely choose Empire when Im craving hookah. Sign up for the rewards program they have and stack up on points!

Love this hookah lounge, needs a little better music but other than that it’s perfect. Always have deals Sunday-​Thursday. My boyfriend and I always get the 2/​$ 24 that includes the hookah a refill and 2 drinks. The service is excellent but make sure you have your I.D. because they’re on top of it which is nice. You pay when you leave and they have menus. I am a regular at this spot & I won’t even try other locations. Great environment. I highly recommend.

Good flavors and got seated fast. Didnt wait long for hookah and coals. Real chill place if your looking for a place to smoke hookah. Good music and TV set up also.

Be sure you will enjoy a relaxing hookah experience at Empire. The Owner Sean has a great crew that are all happy and very attentive to your needs, coals and experience. I’ve been to many hookah lounges in LA and this is a hidden gem. They only take cash, but have an ATM inside for convenience. They will even give you a frequent hookah card stamp to get a free hookah fast. Music choice is great too. Highly recommend this place to relax after a long day or just chill with some friends.

I must say, this is honestly one of my favorite spots for Tangiers now. I’ve wanted to check this place out for Tangiers bcz of hookahjohn. This lounge uses top notch coconut coals called Titanium. Although not necessary bcz this place packs it well, they offer flavor savor.
Service and music are on point.
Prices r incredibly cheap. $ 16 for Tangiers, can’t beat this unless u drive to San Diego for Tangiers lounge. I am from LA but if I lived around here, I would come here way more often.
Whenever I’m in this area, I will be back again.

This place is amazing, the hookah is great, the service is fantastic and the vibe is really chill. I went on a Sunday night and there was couple people there and it’s much better cause it’s not that loud and they check up on you once in a while. The price is not bad actually and considered really cheap compare to other hookah place. Love this place!

Pretty chill spot here. Came here with some friends– and it was a cool vibe.
The interior is like a chill frat party house. Plus lots of couches! Lights dim and ratchet music videos playing on the screens. Dark. There were a lot of couples getting a little too comfortable on the couches. With that being said, this would be a perfect date to feel up on your partner! Literally.
Hookah is pretty good here with interesting flavors. Peach was delicious!
Service was alright. The staff is pretty chill. Minus 1 star for $ 5 cover per person if it’s more than 2 people. Lame– and cash only. It’s 2015, not 1998.
Overall, this place is CHILL. I’m not sure about returning only cause I love food with hookah. But if I had a hot date, you betcha ;)

Great place. Friendly/​attentive/​informative staff, decently priced hookah, good occasional deals, and fun theme nights. Music is a bit much sometimes but it’s not overly loud and they sometimes play good throwbacks.
Docked 1 star for the $ 3 cover/​per person after 9 on Fridays/​Saturdays. Never experienced that before.

Ok this place is beyond amazing! I first walked in and was immediately greeted by the owner he was nice and very patient with trying to explain the different options they had. the place is dark and plays I writing music, current hip hop and R&B to current rap to even a little indie. It was a very cool vibe and I really digged it.
The price of the hookah was beyond reasonable, I paid $ 16 for a bowl. although they are limited on the flavors you can mix up to 3 so the possibilities are almost endless. I had a mixed bowl that gave me flavor throughout the entire smoke. occasionally it was quite harsh however I realized I only had to turn the coals and it mellowed out again.
I even spoke to the owner about buying my own hookah he was very informative and I acted as if I didn’t know much about Lucas and he presented all the information correctly to me and was honest. I love that because a lot of people will try and take advantage of a young female just to make the dollar but he just told me my options and what was best in his opinion and allowed me to decide from their. I just moved to West Covina but I think I found a new home with Empire hookah.
Also I passed it up like 4 times because it’s in the back left corner of the plaza and at night the sign can be easily missed. Just pay attention (unlike me) and you’ll be fine.

This was our first time here and the girl at the front was great! I didn’t catch her name but she helped us out and was very nice. Good customer service. The staff checked up on us periodically to make sure everything was good. I would definitely come back if it was a little close to home. Better than any place around Whittier that’s for sure. They have great group specials which I liked. They have different specials for different days during the week. I would wanna come on a Monday when they have movie night.

Empire Hookah is the gold standard for hookah lounges. The selection of hookah is vast and tasty.
The staff is friendly and the vibes are chill.

One of the better lounges I have been to. Service is nice, music isn’t blasting and they have a very diverse mix of music. Its a bit too dark for my taste, but it’s still very comforting. The hookah quality is outstanding! They might be short on a few flavors every so often, but they will offer to mix it or substitute so that’s a plus!
Too bad its so far away from me, otherwise I’d end up being a regular here!

First time back to empire since they moved over from the alley next door.
Definitely somewhere I would frequent if it was more convenient to my home. A very nice girl greeted us and sat us down and gave us a good summary of the items available on the menu, which they have a rather large selection of shisha. A couple minutes after she departed a gentleman came over and tried to pair something for us. Not that he couldn’t but my buddy and I smoke a lot haha. A couple items we ordered we out of stock but hey shit happens. We settled in Kashmir Apple and a hint of cane mint along with it. Good deals for pairs as we got a hookah with a refill and two drinks for 25 bucks.
Nice ambiance as well as great service and hookahs that have flavor and smoke. Deserving of a perfect review non-​withstanding a couple minor hiccups like no central heat and a couple menu items being unavailable.
