While getting our SUV washed nearby we noticed a Heidi’s. I was curious to try it out, I knew the sorry Heidi’s we have in Bakersfield could not truly represent the chain with the sour puss DGAF service we get. So after car wash we went in and were warmly greeted, this is better already. We ordered the hot pastrami and the crab cake sandwich. My wife always has water unless hot tea is available, but I had Diet Dr Pepper on tap, nice. Our sandwiches were prepared quickly, and they tasted good. The people were the difference at this store compared to where I live.

I had the Cajun Crab cake sandwich on the French hoagie roll. Onions, tomatoes, and lettuce are the veggies that come on the sandwich. It also had their Cajun sauce, pepper jack cheese and avocado. The crab cakes seem to be pre-​made but the sandwich was still good.
Long story short the sandwich was delicious! The side of macaroni salad and the dill pickle were delicious as well.

This location is one of my favorites. The food is consistently good. I am originally from Brooklyn and since I’ve been here in Colorado, it’s hard to find an Italian hogging bread as fresh and tasty as here.
The staff has always greeted me with a smile and kind manners. More than I can say for most sandwich chains. Wish I could give more stars.

I’ve got to hand it to Heidi’s for being one of the best chain sandwich shops around. Their chicken salad sandwich is big enough to split. And speaking of which, whenever we order and mention we’re splitting it, they always hook us up with 2 sides and 2 pickles for no extra charge… all that for a $ 7.50 filling lunch is an A+ in my book. Lots of different bread options so you can mix it up and not get bored. Service is always friendly.
Bring cash for tip jar– their receipts don’t print out a place to fill out tip.

This place is a joke if it calls itself a New York deli. Sadly, my office orders lunch here often for meetings and I’ve been forced to try many things on the menu. It’s all garbage. All the meats I’ve tried are overly salty. The bacon on the club is a mushy nightmare. The eggplant for the parmesan sub is hardly even present on the bready sandwich. The salads consist of iceberg and romaine with blocks of american cheese or flavorless tomatoes and dressing packets — yes, packets! — which are barely edible.
It basically feels like this place doesn’t even try. It’s not that hard to make even a decent sandwich, and I’ve never had anything here that even qualifies as «decent.» Yuck.

Absolutely amazing sandwiches. I had the Cajun Turkey with Avocado on Sourdough bread. Heidi’s has about 5 different breads that they bake daily. It is the bread that truly sets this place apart from other sandwich shops. It was thick cut and soft in the center with a great crust. I really try to avoid eating bread so this coming from me is a true compliment. The homemade potato salad was also something to write home about. So if you ever fly into or out of Vail Eagle airport make a quick stop. It is about a mile from the airport.

This is the perfect sandwich joint. This place is doing what every sandwich joint should be doing. They had a great selection of hot and cold sandwiches, several soups available in bread bowl if you wanted. I had the Italian sausage with peppers sandwich and it was great. Everybody with on this lunch trip was impressed. It feels like the place shouldn’t/isn’t a chain but apparently it is.
