Considering the price of golf in the Vail valley this place gets four + stars, it may be a little rough on the edges bit it really is a nice course. There are some very interesting holes up on the mesa where the fairway undulates down quite a bit before it rises back up to the green. In some it is a small creek or a ravine and balls will be lost if your shots are not well planned. Greens are in very good shape and fairways aren’t bad at all. Some tee boxes are a bit rough. Beers are only $ 2.75! The staff is super friendly and the Clubhouse Grill has very good food at verry reasonable prices. For $ 55 a round including cart it is a bargain. If you can get a discount time on don’t even hesitate. We paid $ 23 — crazy cheap versus Beaver Creek at $ 190. We will definitely be back.

So I’m of two minds about this Golf Course. I’ll give you the good part first. The service at the course is awesome. The bartenders, the starters, the marshals on the course, the golf pro, everyone there all super friendly. Oh and the food in the restaurant is very good. Okay so now for the bad news. The golf course itself is really hard. I realize that golf is not an easy game in and of itself but this golf course is just tough. It has some beautiful scenery and the 17th hole is one of the coolest holes I’ve ever played but the rest of the course is tough. One of the pluses to the course is that is in great condition. The greens are in great shape and the fairways are perfect. Well I hope this review is helpful.

This course is very challenging and a lot of fun! The staff was friendly and let my wife ride along for free. The conditions were very good and the views were amazing. If I ever make it back to the area, I will definitely play this course again. Thank you guys for being so accommodating.

As the first reviewer pointed out, there were a lot of mosquitos. However I have played this course 3 or 4 times in the past and it was not this way. I think it was because of all the moisture the valley has seen this year. It is a fun course as well. Decent rates. There are a few holes that you need to play a time or two before figuring out the best angle of attack. I think it is worth the drive from up valley if you can get a good rate here. Eagle Ranch is probably a better course but they are both fun courses to play.

I must say that I’m quite disappointed in this golf course. Don’t get me wrong, the physical course is great and I’ve played it twice recently. The first time I only had time for nine holes and enjoyed the experience immensely. I liked it so much, I brought my wife and some friends to experience the course. Well this is when the golf course pissed me off. I guess the city can’t afford decent help or wants to offer summer employment to kids but they make terrible pro shop employees. Maybe even more pissy is the fact that the damn place is overrun with mosquitoes. I would have changed my plans or brought some damn bug spray had the course had the forethought to tell golfers the bugs were fierce. Instead the flunkies in the pro shop just laughed at us when we complained. By the way, we only played six holes before we couldn’t take it anymore and returned to the clubhouse. The darn bugs were swarming all over us and you couldn’t stand still long enough to even swing the club. It really sucked. The course layout gets five stars, the mosquitoes get zero stars and the clowns working in the pro shop get one star just for breathing. Too bad I won’t return to this course as it’s really nice.
