Jade Garden Chinese Tex Mex Restaurant

Cheap, fast, and decent. Prices are very good, delivery is super fast, and the food is solid. Plus they have tacos starting at $ 1.50. Definitely my go-​to for Chinese takeout. if you are in Weehawken, they are usually there in 15 minutes, tops.

I ordered a chicken chow Mein and found 2 little dead roaches in the veggies! Never ordering from here again! F****** disgusting man!!!

The vegetable roll, which was the highlight of the entire order, was greasy as all hell and contained only cabbage. Vegetable fried rice smelled like dry dog kibble (seriously, that’s what the steam smelled like wafting from the container), was not fried, did not contain egg, and was not made with white rice. It was basically yellow rice, tossed with rancid vegetables, with absolutely no seasoning whatsoever. Awful. The fried wontons BEYOND fried, and they contained meat, a detail left out on the menu.
They didn’t even give me a fortune cookie in the take out bag.

Great food, very friendly and fast service! Love their broccoli! Besides the food the owners are very nice people and the place itself is very clean. A nice change from other Chinese places around here.

They were very polite and prompt with delivery however food was extremely mediocre.. chips were totally burned and tasted awful, Chili on them was good so picked that off of chips. … The kung pao chicken looked wonderful but the peanuts in it were totally rancid and it had tons and I mean tons of carrots in it the fried rice tasted super old and refried multiple times… The garlic chicken wings were burned as well… One of the worst take out meals I have ever ordered.. my guests were very upset. .I feel bad leaving this review because they really were very nice but their food was awful..

This place is a great spot for take out Chinese food. I have got food from here many times and never had a problem with it. Its the same as the other Chinese places. I also use to also get the Tex Mex from here which is okayyyyyy not the best in the world but not the worst. If your going to get Mexican food I would say there are plenty of other places in this area that will satisfy you needs. They also do not give nearly enough sour cream and red sauce for your meal as well. At the end of the day for a Chinese place, they do a decent Tex Mex.

Jade Garden. «Here we go,» I say to myself, «we’ve got a Jade Garden added to all the other Chinese ‘Garden’ restaurants — Lotus Garden, Tasty Garden, Royal Garden (you get the picture).» Why should I care? Cause! This ain’t just a standard Chinese restaurant folks, it’s a Chinese & Tex-​Mexican restaurant. Now I’m on board.
At first, I thought there would be some type of fusion thing going on (which, I must admit, would have rocked my world). But it’s not, and that’s okay — I’m still excited.
I completely ignored the Chinese food selection, and went straight for the Tex Mex. I wanted to know what was going on — how could these two styles of cooking exist side by side on the same menu?
We ordered:
— Tex-​Mex Chili Nachos: the chili was tasty with just the right amount of heat. Some nachos wilted (which is bound to happen), but some nachos held their ground, making it a nice textural contrast.
— Chicken and Chili combination platter: chicken was well seasoned and juicy, sitting on top of the chili. Comes with two soft flour tortillas to wrap up all the goodness.
— a side of guacamole: more like a mixture of tomatillo sauce and avocado. The consistency was not as thick as guacamole, but not as saucy either. A very pleasant surprise with a spicy kick.
Muy delicioso.
With a free can of soda, everything came out to only $ 13.
I don’t know why, but I can’t wait to try everything else. When the delivery guy dropped off the food, he said, «Do you know we also have Chinese food? You should try that next time.» Hell yeah!

Hey it’s Guttenberg it’s not like it’s Manhattan… this place is fine and has a better attitude than others in area and the owner is a nice family man with two wonderful children so support this place!

alright i dont know alot of mexican delivery places but this place has this wonderful deal for fajitas by the pound and lemme tell ya i always order it + alot of extra beans cheese n sauces. I think its a great deal for its price.
