Quality Inn

Well not as bad as the review before mine but the name of this place shouldn’t have anything resembling quality in it! Booked the room on Priceline so I’m stuck with it for the night and not happy at all! As I firefighter I know for a fact this place would fail an annual fire inspection! If they did health inspection it would fail that too! The shower doesn’t work and even the stainless hand rails have rust on them. The plugs are useless due to some genius putting the headboard blocking them perfectly. The phone line isn’t plugged into a phone jack, it goes into a hole in the wall. Everything in the room is damp to the touch, bed sheets included. If you are able to get past the quality inside the room there is the issues outside (if you are strong enough to open the door that requires a shoulder hit to open) you’ll find a very noisy environment that appears to be anything but safe/​secure! If this is the last place with vacancies just tough it out and drive to the next city!

As a Choice Hotels platinum cardholder, it pains me to write this review, but I wish someone had warned me as I am about to warn you: BED BUGS!
I was laying on the bed, reading, when I saw the first one crawling. It was small and kind of translucent tan — it didn’t look like the pictures I’d seen, so I ignored it. Then I saw another one. I decided to pull back the bed linens and found several more. I put on my clothes and decided sleep was over.
The next morning, I cancelled my additional two nights and asked for a refund, which the manager gave with no argument. She was very nice and very embarrassed. She sent housekeeping immediately to remove the bed linens and called Orkin. She also asked me to email her a video I had shot of the bugs.
The housekeeper at first said there was no way I could have found bugs, because they had cleaned that room. They pulled back the mattress pad and found an adult bed bug that was textbook identifiable. The housekeeper was shocked and very apologetic. She then told me that Orkin had been called to get rid of bed bugs in several rooms a few doors down.
Other comments on the property: It is in a direct flight path for the airport. I didn’t hear the planes inside, but outside, large jets flew low overhead continuously. If this freaks you out, it’s something to note.
The rooms seemed old and run-​down, with visible rust, scuffs on the walls, and banged up furniture. My room did have a flat-​screen TV, and some old TVs were in the stairwell, indicating they are upgrading.
The location is too far from the beach (3 – 4 miles) and just not very convenient.
Kudos to the staff for a swift response, but would I stay here again? Not a chance in hell. If you chance it, I hope your stay is bug-​free and better than mine.

We reserved 4 non-​smoking rooms for 5 nights at this hotel for the Superbowl. It was really important for us to have non-​smoking rooms because family does not smoke and we were traveling with my 4 month old and 19 month old babies. We were placed in what they said were non-​smoking room. When we first got to our rooms all of them had a little odor to them and the rooms looked nothing like the pictures on their website. The bedding was nasty looking and the bathroom was gross. I would never shower in there. We had to wash at the sink. The next day we went to breakfast at the Waffle House because the hotels breakfast is awful. When we returned to our room it was engulfed in cigarette smoke. We were told that our rooms were attached to smoking rooms and that it came through the bathroom vents. When we asked what the purpose of them having non-​smoking rooms the front desk reception told us we should stay at a non smoking hotel if we dont want to smell smoke. We immediately checked out and checked in to the Best Western two hotels down. The rooms were beautiful and the breakfast was amazing there. As we were packing our cars I also witnessed several of the cleaning people smoking while cleaning the non-​smoking rooms. Going in and out of the room with their cigarettes. I will never return to this hotel ever again!!!
