O’neals has great roast beef poboys, cheeseburgers, catfish and Cajun fries!(the regular fries are incredibly bland) I try to stop by here every time I am at home. Cheap beer too!

Heard a lot about this place from co workers. Today was my first visit. Very welcoming environment. The workers greet you as soon as the door opens. After a quick review of the menu, the waiter/cashier gives great details and suggestions. Service is fast and fresh. I ordered the kids fish plate with fries and a side salad. Portions are well made and worth the price. I will be coming back often.

Consistently the best, most authentic shrimp po-boy on the gulf coast. I love how they use the small shrimp and pile them on. That way you get fresh shrimp and a light crunch in every bite.

This place has the best poboy in town. Mine was half oyster and half catfish. The seafood was definitely fresh. The batter is crispy but not greasy at all. Service was friendly and fast. Two thumbs up for a lunch place.

I was greeted and welcomed by every employee behind the counter, so that was a great start. I ordered the shrimp po boy combo, and got the fried pickles as my side instead of fries with a sweet tea. The sweet tea was great. The po boy was literally overflowing with shrimp, and the bread was very soft and tasty. Overall a very good po boy. The fried pickles were a little thinner than I like(I prefer a little more pickle in the pickle to batter ratio) but still good. They weren’t greasy at all, which was great. When you factor in that it was all under $ 10 including tax, you can’t beat this for lunch.

Your roast beef poboy used to be one of the best. Something has changed. The roast beef is thin and dry and there’s not enough meat on the sandwich to go with the bread.

Poor boy hits the mark. Good friendly service that many of the locals stop in and eat. Be sure to try the fried pickles too they’re good. Staff checked on us and re wrapped leftovers.

We went to the one on Pass Rd. Why is this called a «Bar and Grill» when there’s no bar? Why are these called poboys when they aren’t served on French bread? That’s not a poboy! Good sandwiches is what they are, though, served on fresh, soft rolls that they told us they bake there themselves. A little bland, but okay.

First let me state we at the O’Neals on pass rd. I ordered the Cajun sausage Poboy and my wife had the Roast Beef and gravy. Sausage was very good split open and grilled great flavor! Came with Cajun fries and a drink for $ 9. My wife was less impressed saying the roast beef was salty, overall good experience. Staff very friendly and food came out pretty quick. Rolls were extremely fresh. Plan on coming back, they also offer burgers. atmosphere is lacking feels like a diner. But for a good sandwich we will come by again

Meh. It was ok. Smiling staff when you walk in. A bit pushy but friendly for the most part. There was no line and I felt rushed as the girl wrote my order down. The place has been here FOREVER. I remember the first time I came when we moved to the coast many many many moons ago. The building is clean, parking lot maintained, and the tables inside are clean regularly. I really hate dirty places and i’m glad this wasnt. Docked 2 stars from the rating because the food ain’t what it used to be. The PoBoy was a PoBoy. About the same price as other shops and about the same size. It just felt like something was missing, i’m not too sure but something just wasn’t right. The Catfish platter was overpriced for what you get compared the the Cajun Food Mart a.k.a. Shrimp In the Hood from my other review. Almost 11 bucks at Oneal’s and you get 4 pieced of catfish, small amount of fries, and coleslaw. Granted I picked the sides but they just weren’t hopping. The fries were stale. Period. Dot. Comma. Period. Stale. The coleslaw was watery and mehhh. Cabbage felt meh and it tasted soooo sweet. Caines has better coleslaw than this! At Cajun Food Mart, you get GIANT pieces of Catfish, TONS of fries, and a nifty salad to boot. YOUCAN’T EVENCLOSETHEBOX! Oneal’s has some work to do. Granted they are in the neighborhood and run a clean place, the food is missing just that one piece that’ll make it special again. YUP!
