The«Cheers» of coffee shops. By the third visit everyone knew my name. Incredible coffee, incredible views, and, if you dare, incredible desserts. The sandwiches and other food looks delicious, but I haven’t ventured there yet. Ask for a coffee card. They fill up faster than any other café, making it worth the trip to the beach if you’re not already there. These guys have mastered the art of coffee in a really casual atmosphere.

Nice view overlooking the boats, relaxing atmosphere and friendly service. The coffee is great and the croissant sandwiches are excellent. I’m really glad we found this place during our visit.

If local is what your looking for then this is your place. Located above the surf shop just as you arrive on the island this quaint shop is a local roaster of coffee. The Poet has won many awards and rightly so, they know their business. We had cold coffees to go but there are a few tables if you choose to stay. The staff is super friendly and will give suggestions to restaurants or local hangouts. I highly recommend supporting a local business and try them out, you won’t be disappointed!

I visited this coffee shop for the first time on the weekend of 29 November 2015 and wow! This quaint, quite(at the time I was there) establishment has the nicest atmosphere surrounded by a boat dock of Charter Fishing vessels for hire with a great view of the intercostal waterway on one side and the beach ocean on the other. The manager Steve, is quite the host and with a warm, welcoming friendly personality. He greets all his customers with a bright«welcome to my house» smile with quick fast service. You can even open a tab, if you are going to stay a while and enjoy the view, do some computer work or just chit-chat with friends or have a quiet coffee while reading a book. The muzak on the surround sound speaker is relaxing, not too loud – there is even a fireplace as it can get a bit chilli here in the winter months. We visited during the«off season» which pretty much meant we had the place to ourselves. The Drowsy Poet at Innerlight Gulf Breeze, FL(there are more DP’s on the main land) is a must visit for anyone who likes great coffee, with great prices and a light snack menu, that is healthy beyond what you would expect. No gluten, almond or coconut milk for your coffee drinks, fresh salmon, bagles, cream cheese, tomato’s, grapes – I could go on and on. This is a must give it a try coffee house right of the FL398 Hwy. If you are tired of the run of the mill starbucks with loud machines, blaring music coming over the speakers and dirty tables and floors, make it a point to visit the Drowsy Poet at Interlight in Gulf Beeze, FL just across the causeway. Starbucks eat your heart out.

Breakfast and Coffee each morning of vacation. The All Hands On Deck was the best way to start the day. The ingredients were high quality, and the coffee delicious. We had the Americano, Latte, and a coconut mocha.

Group of 7 people. Drinks were good, service was nice and view was great. Normal ‘land lubber’ pricing. We didn’t order food but the selection looks good for breakfast, lunch or later. We missed it because signage along the road was easy to miss. Look for«Marina and Charters & Innerlight Surf Shop». It’s on the second floor.

I had just finished walking the beach and pier and scanned Unilocal to see what was ranked well around me. I saw the Drowsy Poet was ranked first and so I decided to stop by — glad I did! Very friendly and informative barista made my drink — Iced Shakespeare — and The Gobbler sandwich. Very refreshing after walking the beach(including the air conditioning too). I’m sure if I were staying in Pensacola I would visit this place regularly, plenty of places to sit, outside and in. Thank you again for your accommodating and friendly atmosphere!

Conveniently located coffee shop near the marina on Pensacola Beach. We stopped in for coffee before our charter. They had very friendly service. Two star reduction is for a lack of quality control. Our order arrived piecemeal, with items forgotten and numerous reminders required. The avocado toast had blemishes still on the avocado. We specifically asked twice for no milk in our iced coffees but it came with milk. All the food was pretty good, they just need to tighten up the operation.

The guy who runs the place is super knowledgable, the coffee is excellent. It’s accessible if you want a basic cup, but if you’ve never strayed out of Starbucks or the gas station, this is the place that will make you a black coffee-drinking connoisseur. Their espresso is also fantastic.

This place is great. A Real Coffee Shop! The antithesis of «Globo-Coffee» chains. Located on 3rd floor overlooking a marina and the bay. Clientele on this Thursday morning included a biker, a couple folks in tie dye(dare I call them hippies), a family from up north, a couple business professionals, some snowbirds, and so on. You get the idea. Super friendly, personal service. Not just service with a smile and«Thank you, have a nice day.» Well beyond that. Great coffee and lattes. If you legit appreciate good coffee, this is the place. They also have a good little food menu with great light fares. Their artisan toast-avocado thingy is especially good. In 20 years of going to coffee shops, this is my 2nd favorite of all time. Favorite shop is a similar place up in Seattle overlooking the Puget Sound. Hard to beat that. And no, I am not getting paid to write this, and I’m not affiliated with them in anyway. Just really excited about this legit coffee shop in Pensacola Beach.

Ask about a drink not on the menu. 4 shots espresso and honey. Taste great over ice. Cool atmosphere for the only coffee house on pensacola beach.

A delightful coffee house tucked away on Pensacola Beach. Sweet staff, and the Shakespeare was smooth and delicious! The Breakers breakfast was a perfect choice to start a day at the beach. Light and fresh, the scones melted in my mouth, grapes and apple were sweet, and the hard boiled egg hit the spot. The atmosphere was laid back as it should be, and loved listening to Jamaican island music while I ate and took in the scenery around me.
