I have had several clothing items altered by Sarah at Grateful Threads for me and my family, and each time the finished product has been perfect. Thank you, Sarah, and keep up the great work!

I absolutely love this store! Sarah makes you feel right at home the second you walk in. She is fabulous at putting cute outfits together and helping you find what you need for your occasion. Her inventory is typically high end which I love because I can get designer clothes at bargain prices. I have also had her mend some of mine and my husbands clothing which always comes out perfectly! I highly recommend you stop in a browse around!

A phenomenal place to indulge and add to your fashion closet, American Style. I love what Sarah does. Much more advice than anyplace I’ve been. It’s even better than Plato’s Closest. Yoshi.

I really like shopping here, the prices are great and I always find treasures. Sarah and Meadow are very helpful as well asnice. I’ve had Sarah do some alterations on items I am unable do myself, with total satisfaction as well as very reasonable pricing. I am a regular shopper because new things arrive daily…

BEWARE!!! DONOTGETANYTHINGALTEREDHERE. I took my bridesmaid dress here to be altered and she made it seem like she could do everything that I needed done, piece of cake. NOT the case! She did a botch job on the back of my dress. It is totally off center, the top part is suppose to button in the middle and instead of cutting fabric from both sides, so the dress would still button in the middle, she only cut from one side! The dress is off center by 1 ½ inches and she changed the shape of the back of ONE of straps completely. I am going to have to take my dress somewhere else now and pray that they can fix this total mess that this lady made. She wasn’t even apologetic. She said«I can’t make everyone happy» and when I asked for my refund she said that she was only going to give me half of it because she did do some things right. When she saw how disappointed I was she told me «you can smile». Totally unprofessional. DONOTGOHERE! UPDATE: I had to pay someone, a real seamstress, to restructure the back of my dress! That’s how bad of a job Sarah did! Also, the new place is having to hem my dress as well because although Sarah claims she«hemmed» it… she in fact did not! The new place said that it is the original hem on the dress that she never touched the bottom of the dress! Unreal! Not only is she awful at her job but she is also a liar. I am having to pay a lot of money to fix the damage that Sarah has done. Again, DONOTGOHERE!

I thought this was a cute little second hand shop. They carry name brands at a fraction of the cost. They have a furniture and décor section in the back of the store with really cute up cycled pieces in a shabby chic style.

Great shop with very kind staff. Owner was experienced and friendly. They have some nice gems in there, even for men. Pair of Keen hiking boots for $ 35! Can’t beat that. Definitely will be back.

Great selection and great prices! I got a gently used Free People top for $ 20. It’s very cute. I’ll be taking some clothes in to exchange shortly. The owner was very helpful as well!

Nice mix of fashions for the young and older. The men’s section has staples as well as a bit of trendy. The store is clean and the service was above average. I purchased a vintage shirt which I’m happy with. There is parking on the street or a shared lot in the rear. The dressing rooms are we’ll appointed with hooks and a chair. There are other used clothing stores in the area.

This is the best 2nd hand store I have ever been too! The environment was so welcoming, and the music playing was very soothing! The clothes the owner picks out to sell are current fashions and quality vintage! The clothes have no holes or missing buttons e.t.c. This cute store reminds me of a boutique you pass or go into on main street, but without the high prices! I scored a pair of summer shoe wedges and a sundress for a total of 4 dollars!

Lovely cozy place! I wanted a day of thrift shopping because I am on vacation and it was the perfect spot! Boho influences in the store make it very charming and the pricing was good! Definitely coming back next time

I was looking around to see if someone could repair this gorgeous lace top I ordered on the internet. It arrived damaged and they were out of stock so I couldn’t exchange it — rats! I took it to Grateful Threads and she was straight up with me and said she wasn’t 100% sure that it wouldn’t «look repaired». We gave it a shot and it turned out truly amazing! You can’t even tell where the repair is! I love this store anyway for the upscale, gently used clothing — but the added bonus of her being able to make quality repairs for your favorite items… well they deserve more than 5 stars!

Love this store! I go here at least once or twice, whenever I’m in pismo. The owner is such a sweet lady, I go crazy when I shop there. I’ve bought crops, designer pants and tops, a Dooney and Bourke bag for a steal and dresses.

I had a bridesmaids dress that was way to big for me because I have lost weight. I took it in to grateful threads to have it altered and the first time it was still a little too big so they took it in some more. I picked it up today and my dress was absolutely perfect! It fit amazingly and was so comfortable! Not only did they do a great job but they have amazing customer service and their price to alter it so incredibly reasonable! If I ever needed something altered again I wouldn’t hesitate to bring it into grateful threads or refer them to anyone! Thank you ladies so much!

This store is more of a second-hand store than a thrift store. Prices start around $ 7 but you will still find trendy clothes in great condition for less than store prices. Love that they can do alterations at the store. They had a lot of really nice things but I did walk away empty handed that day. If I am ever in town again I will definitely stop by and try my luck again.

Love this store !!! They have GREATSTUFF. Even some handmade beanies, jewelry and gloves that I’m obsessed with. Also a wonderful vintage collection. Sarah is great, she’s always super helpful when I go in there and helps me pick out exactly the perfect thing. I can never leave without at least five things. And it doesn’t break the bank to do so. So that’s ALWAYS a plus. Sarah even has a sewing machine there I. Case u need anything altered. It’s a great place run by a great woman. I highly recommend sl checking it out.

I always love coming in because of the excellent service and trendy and affordable clothes! Not only that, the owner does a great job with altering dresses. Since I come here so much, I’d thought I’d put my trust into the owner for hemming my prom dress. She did it for me at a reasonable price and it came out amazing!

I knew when I saw a sewing machine out and in use that I was in a good place. I have found a few cool pieces here and am Grateful that this store is as nice as it is overall. I like it! The«Exchange» aspect of it makes it a plus in that one can bring clothes in and maybe even get a few dollars credit for something else. One of the best aspects of Grateful Threads is that it is not all crammed up like a thrift store or Kmart or Ross. There are cool display outfits. Clothing is arranged loosely on the rack so you aren’t having to muscle through to try to see a garment. Gives more of a boutique feel rather than massive amounts of clothes. Truly, a nice improvement to Grover City while still keeping the Grover Beach feeling. A welcoming, non-rushed, peaceful store.

I love this store– it has helped me outfit for events with vintage and super cool clothing you would never find anywhere else. They have a unique style that really works, as they buy groovy clothes and pass on the style and saving to us the customers. My daughter shops here(she has a 2 yr old and a newborn) to stay stylish at reasonable prices. Most times, the clothes she takes in to sell, cover the cost of a new outfit. Thanks to Sarah — I am now a bit richer for having taken my «not wanted» clothes to her store for consignment. It is such a fantastic service– she puts my clothes on consignment, no dealing with crazy Craiglist people or giving them away to a charity whom charges poor people to much money. Go here first, you will never have to pay retail again! I always find a new treasure I didn’t know I couldn’t live without!
