I’ve had Conifer for over 2 years at my home and also at my place of business. They have been terrific. Great service, they deliver the speeds they promised and do it all quickly. I like that they are proactive, sending info ahead of time when they know they have to be down for maintenance. One time a major piece of hardware went down on their broadcasting peak and they had it fixed quickly and then sent our into letting us know the problem. I highly recommend them over the other options out there… ahem**Frontier**.

Unfortunately one of the worst service providers I have ever encountered who come across with good intentions but simply over promise and under deliver. They have an excuse for everything with frequent interruptions and downtime. When the system goes down, they will not pick up the phone because their system is also on the Internet.

I contacted Conifer communications to have their service installed in my home. I have referred them in the past to multiple customers. The experience started bad right off when I was hung up on initially. I don’t know if it was their phone system or just an error on their part. So I called back in again and got a hold of their scheduler or whoever they use to answer the phone because it is so inconsistent you don’t know if your going to talk to the scheduler or just someone answering the phone. So the person I talk to tells me someone will call me to have their installer come out and see if they’re able to provide me service. No call back, I call back again and they tell me they will have their techs come. This time they show up look at the area where their tower is at and they say they can provide service, they let me know that someone will put me on the schedule to have it installed and again someone will call me back. Again no call back so I call again and the person I talk to tells me he will put me on the schedule for Wednesday 12−16−15 between 10 – 2 so I wait around my house no call no show. I call back in the person that answers says he is the scheduler and he has been out and that I’m not on the schedule. So at this point I get his name(Jim) and he says that his techs can fit me in on Monday. They show up and say because of the weather that they can’t install it. By the way, these are the same techs that came out and told me someone would call me to schedule me(which didn’t happen). I ask them why I didn’t receive a call and they tell me that they gave them the info and someone just didn’t call. Im frustrated at this point so I tell them as I walk away that they can just put me on the schedule when they think they can do it. They tell their boss or whoever is in charge that I was rude. I guess you don’t have to give your customers the courtesy of a call back when you pick and choose your customers. So after all of these problems I call back and try to schedule again but the person I talk to says that I was rude to their techs and that they don’t want my business. I guess they don’t have to call their customers to find out what really happened. This company and their employees are very unprofessional. If I didn’t live out in the middle of nowhere I would have never even tried as hard as I did to get their service. I would definitely not recommend them to anyone even if you are out in the country and need Internet service.

«Good News Groveland Folks, as of today we offer service in the dead zone of Cresthaven Dr., Rising Hill Circle, and Green Valley Circle and the surrounding area of Groveland.» This announcement is great news for Pine Mountain Lake and very helpful for those with security concerns.

Terrible Customer service. I realize many people in rural areas don’t have a lot of options. However, if you have ANYOTHEROPTION, use it! Last month, they suddenly without warning lost service to my house. For THREEWEEKS I was consistently lied to about when my service would be restored. I was repeatedly told that a new dish had been shipped and they would restore my service. They changed the dish arrival date 3 times, it NEVER came. I never got my service back. I paid for multiple web based services, I missed online courses, my baby monitor didn’t work, etc. etc. Well they failed to contact me as promised on 4 separate occasions. Even the manager, Jim, flat out lied about calling me back. Jim, the manager said: «I understand if you want to switch to Frontier, I don’t blame you.» What kind of manager encourages you to switch service??? Good luck with Conifer, I’d avoid them if possible.

I’ve had Conifer for over a month now. I was immediatley impressed, but things have gotten even better. Turns out just a week ago I was seeing a degradation of service. Called Jim at Conifer. He arranged for a tech to get to my place within hours. Turns out the signal from Conifer was pretty good, but Josh tweaked it a bit and made it even better. However, problems continued. He isolated the problem to my router and suggested a reasonably priced one which I got(Netgear N750, WNDR4300, $ 69.99 at Walmart). and installed. The effective speed for a page to load now and the range of service within the house is even better than when I originally got service, and I was already very happy with that. I’ve even streamed some video, and considering I’m only on the 2mb service, it wasn’t bad. For me, Conifer is working great, but, your location is a major consideration.

I just switched to Conifer. I’ve heard nothing but good things about them and they delivered. They arrived on time and didnt make it a hassle to set up. The huge difference is the unlimited data download, and the customer support is fantastic. Highly recommend.

Little back story: I lived in San Mateo ca, and received the highest download speeds in America through Comcast. I hated Comcast, and their politics, but that is for another review. Now I live in Sonora Ca and Comcast doesn’t provide out here, and the other providers charge by the giga bite.(or whatever) The only provider that gives unlimited downloads is Conifer, and the 5meg plan I have runs all high def feeds to one source no problem. That is plenty for the wife and I, but when my daughter gets older we will upgrade to higher speeds. Now for the customer service: Amazing wraps it up. Step one, deal with Comcast. Step two, deal with Conifer… No contest. On the rare occasion the network goes down either a call or an e-mail gets put out telling customers what is going on. During the install the guys mounted wires exactly how I wanted(and I am anal) and punched holes where I wanted them. I also have a greenhouse about ¼ mile from the house and they set me up with a custom set up that now powers my greenhouse as well. I have internet service for days on my 3 acre property. I am not giving 5 stars only because the speeds and cost could improve, but I am confident with more customers and time, Conifer will provide that as well. I am just a very happy customer that isn’t use to the excellent customer service that Conifer provides. I would recommend this company to family and friends.

Conifer has literally changed our day-to-day life with higher speed UNLIMITED internet! With a previous satellite service, we continually ran over our«limit» and couldn’t watch videos or stream anything. Conifer had everything hooked up and running w/in 1 ½ hrs. We are faster than our satellite service was, can stream Netflix, Spofify, Pandora, Youtube, and most importantly, have our computers updated automatically! Conifer is a fantastic option and company to use ~ I have referred them to everybody in our neighborhood! Thank you SO much Conifer!

Absolutely horrendous connections speeds! Going into 2014, you would think that a MINIMUM of 3.5Mbps down would be the norm. Not out here. At my parent’s pad, near Lake Don Pedro, this is what you can expect for $ 50 a month: Averaging a connection speed of 1.04Mbps down, 0.9Mbps up, and a ping of 61.5 ms(best of four connection tests). That’s a down rate that’s over 15x slower than the national average speed of 16.45Mbps down. I’m almost certain that they must have an out-of-breath, overweight hamster powering a wheel to generate these minimalistic speeds. Wanted to do some work while I was up here for the holidays, but now I am thinking that Morse Code, or smoke signals would be faster, more reliable methods of communication.
