Dr. Peterson was my doctor for few years, but as a nurse, I had to leave. He treats his patients on the cheap. Won’t order any expensive lab work or scans, genetic testing, etc. even when cancer runs in family. All you’ll get is yearly flu shot,(with mercury).

I am a new patient at this practice, but so far my experience has been positive and different from the negative reviews. I spoke with the office staff twice by phone before my first appointment, and both times they were friendly and professional. I was able to get a non-urgent appointment within a week, on a day and time that worked for me. The office staff was also friendly and professional in person. The waiting room was packed and the patients who checked in after seemed to be treated just as well. I met a couple of the nurses, all friendly and professional, as was my doctor and the woman in the lab. At no point did I hear any of the front office staff or nurse attempt to dictate the practice as one reviewer describes. The doctors were clearly in-charge, and I never felt rushed at any point. **Note: Some of these other reviews may be confusing this medical practice with the similarly named«Nashoba Valley Healthcare», which is also located in Groton(Main St) and also part of Steward.**

I’m new here but so far, I find it wonderful. My new PCP and the staff are absolutely wonderful. I couldn’t ask for better medical care.

This is the worst primary care office I have ever been to. I really wish I could give it a zero. The front desk is exceptionally rude and dictates the entire practice. Appointments are impossible to get and when you do get an appointment it is with the newest addition to the practice. For some reason Dr. Peterson, who is actually a very good clinician, sticks with this place but you are never granted an appointment with him and the rest of the office has no idea who you are or how to deliver appropriate primary care. My biggest complaint is with the Medical Assistant, Dawn, who practices well beyond her scope and should have her license taken away. She makes wildly inappropriate, and incorrect, clinical decisions and is given far too much responsibility within the office. I don’t know where the true source of the problem is at this office, but I recently switch and could not be happier with my decision. If you go to this practice, get out while you still can

We are currently seeking a new primary care physician. We do like Dr. Peterson and trust his judgment — that is when you are allowed to see him. The last seven times me or one of my family members called with semi-urgent matters we weren’t even given an appointment. The last time, I was flat out told«we are just too busy to see you». Not even a referral elsewhere or any suggestions. I do wonder, is Dr. Peterson aware of this issue or is the staff at the front desk(not medically trained) making these decisions? Very, very dissapointed with this office.

If you are looking for a primary care doctor, keep looking. 1) they do not give sick appts unless the woman who answers the phone deems your issue«urgent». A couple non-urgent(in their opinion) issues? A salivary gland infection they didn’t believe I had and told me I could only come in for a strep test, but not an actual appt. Yep, come to find out I do have an infection and might need surgery, but front desk lady didn’t listen to me and assumed I had strep. 2) I have a head injury that is swollen and that I need to be seen for, but front desk woman again decided that wasn’t urgent and told me I couldn’t be seen for a week. Also told me that they sometimes don’t have same day appts at all, yet when I came in for my strep test last week, I heard them giving out same day appts for things such as «sinus pressure»…so that was a big lie, or apparently sinus pressure IS urgent, but not an infection or head injury. The dr’s are really nice, but unfortunately have hired people who are going to run their practice into the ground. Go anywhere else.
