I know — I’m a guy — so why am I reviewing a hair stylist place?

My mom goes here, and she loves it. She raves about it. She is always happy when she comes home from having her hair done here. She gets a kick out of all the people working here. She is enthralled with Tina, one of the stylists here, and only has her hair done by her (I think).

So while I myself have never had my hair done here, I know women are very picky and specific when it comes to choosing a hair salon. My mom is no exception, and chances are neither are you. She loves this place — she is always bubbly and happy after having her hair worked on here. That means a lot to her, so it means a lot to me.

Had a great pedicure here today! The price was reasonable, the facility was peaceful and relaxing, and Ginger did a great job on my nails! They offer complementary beverages (sorry, non-​alcoholic only) and have great products available for purchase. FYI cash tips only.

I went into Che Bella Salon and Spa for the first time, with a coupon: 60 dollars for a cut and full color. Great deal right? Well… I just wanted highlights, and I was told that highlights and a cut would be 90… okay? Doesn’t quite make sense but I agreed to it because it’s still a good deal. I asked my hairdresser Paige to clarify… so highlights and a cut would be 90 total right? She said yes… so she proceeded to chat me up and I think she may have embellished the truth on how much we had in common so she would get a bigger tip in the end…
My highlights came out okay, hair was a little too short than I wanted… but I was pleased… only to find out that the grand total was 150… I said, I thought it was 90? Then the receptionist said, yes 60 + 90 = 150… I said I thought it was 90 TOTAL. I didn’t want to start anything, but looking back now I wish I did; and I wish I stated that this was contrary to what I was told. I forked over 20 for a tip since it was the holidays… and that was that. I know that at any other salon 150 for a half foil and a cut would be about an average pricing… but misleading information like this… and a price like that doesn’t really make sense… a full foil and cut being 60? but getting highlights and a cut is 90, and somehow I got 60+90…
I just don’t like being mislead. Too bad though, because I thought it was a nice place. but I won’t bother going there again even with their 5 dollar off coupon.

Che Bella is great! Dana is the owner and my stylist, and is simply wonderful! From the cut, to the highlights (foil), she is a talent with hair, and has a warm and lively personality. The salon has a stylish atmosphere, and you are offered water, coffee, wine (when appropriate hours!), a chocolate or a cookie, and are made to feel pampered. Dana keeps up on the latest products and suggest what will work for your hair. Che Bella also offers facials, mani/pedi’s and other salon services like hair removal. I had my second mani/​pedi with Ginger, who does a great job! A very relaxing experience and you will love how you look when you leave!
