One of the few gems of eastern NC. Been a few times for breakfast and once for lunch. Just don’t go on Saturday, it’s small place and you may have to wait at least an hour(on top of the drive out due to being in the middle of nowhere). I normally get the French toast combo with the butter syrup. The meal may put you into a food coma which makes driving back much more difficulty. Oh yeah, try not to hand your phone to the servers to take pics… the only one that touches electronics is the one that works the cash register).

Definitely my favorite place to eat breakfast. My cousin brought me with his family and young child. They are regulars there and the staff was so nice to us and the baby. The food was great. Best French toast I have had! Not many seats but we got there early and were seated right away. Waiters were quick and very nice.

What a great discovery. Yoder’s is a little restaurant with some pantry/grocery items as well and a small bakery. It’s attached to a larger general/hardware store that is fun to look through too. We were here for breakfast during a weekday and there was a wait! We can see why, as it is one of the few places to eat in the area, but the food is great. The pancakes are delicious and come with your choice of maple or homemade butter syrup. The butter syrup is delish and you can even buy some to take home in the grocery store. I also liked my eggs, bacon and hash browns. Yummy breakfast! And delicious sugar cookies in the bakery.

Can’t say enough about this place. Delicious, fresh, home cooked food. You will have to wait for a table, but while you wait you can check out all the animals or the supply store next door, or just sit on some of the awesome furniture. Get the Dutch breakfast!

The food here is wonderful. Everything is homemade, fresh ingredients. I love French toast at breakfast, anything I’ve had at lunch so far has been great.

The best breakfast you could ask for. On the weekends the wait will be LONG, because there aren’t many tables, but rest assured the restaurant is attached to a terrific little hardware store that has almost anything you could ask for at great prices and great quality, with everything from handmade Amish goods to horse feed. There is a terrific parrot named Corky your kids will adore and extremely friendly locals and employees as well. Cinnamon rolls are terrific, as is pretty much everything. It is in the middle of nowhere but worth the trip!

We’ve been here three times for Saturday morning breakfast and every visit has been worth the wait.(Apparently, weekdays are not as busy). We’ve had to wait anywhere from 20 minutes to about 1 hour. We browse through their store while waiting and usually end up buying something from the farm supply store or bakery before sitting down for breakfast. If the weather is nice you can enjoy the rocking chairs, gazebos, swings outside the store. The owner will greet you at some point during your visit and is very friendly and helpful. All of their food is fresh and tasty. Their biscuits and gravy is amazing and this is coming from someone who doesn’t even like biscuits and gravy. Pancakes and french toast are fluffy and moist. Huge portions. Definitely try their homemade butter syrup. Their bakery items are also huge and delicious. Cinnamon rolls and sticky buns can be shared with 2 – 4 people depending on how much of a sweet tooth you have. Come hungry, leave happy and 5 pounds heavier.

Cute little Amish-Mennonite restaurant in the middle of the countryside in Griftin, NC. Had the Dutch breakfast with their famous French toast and homemade syrup that was fantastic and I highly recommend it. My Neice enjoyed the cinnamon roll french toast meal and that was delicious too. Great service and worth the long drive for a down to earth experience. They have cute(American Made) Amish poly wood furniture made from Pennsylvania and Ohio, birdhouses, gazebos, ect that you would not expect to find when going out for French toast. FYI. Their home made sugar cookies are to die for. We got one of each and I recommend them all!!!

Warning, if you hate awesome breakfast with French toast the size of a frying pan and cinnamon buns the size of your face, don’t go here! «I regret eating at Yoder’s»… a phrase that will never be uttered on this planet. People say get there very early on Saturday if you don’t want to wait, but we got there really late(11:30 am) and it worked out fine, so go really early or wait til after the breakfast crowd clears out, oh and breakfast served til 2 on Sat. You’re Welcome

Great breakfast. Wait times on Saturdays are horrible so get there early. During the week there is usually no wait. Pancakes are great, everything is cooked in butter, and the cookies for sale at the register are great too.

Breakfast is excellent — small place though with limited seating so prepare to wait or beat the crowd. They do have amazing French toast made with fresh baked bread and butter syrup!!! Food came out fast enough and the place has been busy every time I have been. I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the area.

GOHERE. Breakfast ends at 11am so get here before then. Get the French toast with Butter Syrup and it will give you a new outlook on the next 20 years of your life. I have never tasted a better combination of flavors. Go here, the coffee is also a step above typical carafe coffee. GOHERE. Breakfast ends at 11am so get here before then. I am stunned that no one has written a review for Yoder’s Dutch Pantry already! After living in Greenville for 2 years, my wife and I made the drive to Grifton to sample the breakfast at Yoder’s after it having been recommended to us multiple times by friends. I took about 20 minutes to get there from Greenville, so not bad at all. We actually entered through the tractor supply part of the building, which we later perused while we waited for our table(around 30 – 45 minutes — typical for a Saturday I assume). By the time we were seated, I was very hungry! I had the Dutch Breakfast, which included pancakes or french toast(I opted for french toast), 2 eggs, bacon or sausage(I chose bacon), home fried potatoes or grits(I chose potatoes), and toast or biscuit(I opted for the biscuit). My wife ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit with a side of potatoes. We also ordered a cinnamon roll(Can you tell we were hungry?). Needless to say, everything was outstanding! I make pretty darn good cinnamon rolls, and Yoder’s was better. The french toast was the thickest french toast I have ever seen — you are only given 1 slice with the Dutch Breakfast, but that’s all you’ll need with all the other stuff that comes with it! This thing was huge! You also have a choice of their homemade butter syrup or regular maple. I tried both, and couldn’t pick a favorite. My wife loved her breakfast as well, but especially enjoyed the potatoes. We even took a cinnamon roll to go, and spent less than $ 20 with tip included! If you live anywhere near Grifton, this place is worth the trip! It blows Cracker Barrel and Waffle House out of the water, and is cheaper to boot. I’m sad that we are moving in a week and won’t get to eat at Yoder’s again anytime soon. Seriously, stop reading and go now!

To say Yoder’s is off the beaten path would be to utter an understatement, but if there is one place to go for a good, wholesome, and fulfilling eating experience it’s Yoder’s. We went for breakfast and got there a bit too late but Loretta, our server, ran into the kitchen and told her son who was the grillman to stop the presses and wait for us. He did. We ordered the French Toast with butter syrup, eggs, sausage, etc. and it was absolutely incredible. Now, I haven’t had French Toast in 40 years but I will order it every time we go to Yoder’s. And, you can buy the very same bread and butter syrup in the store [not to mention the complete line of relishes, preserves, jellies, etc.] The meal was superb, the coffee was great, and Loretta was a 5 star server with an incredible personality. I don’t think I will ever be able to comment on any other offering Yoder’s has as I think I am permanently hooked on the French Toast. Loretta and the entire team are Mennonites so you know the food has to be good.
