The Gridley — Biggs cemetary is located on Highway 99 in Gridley, CA. There are two entrances to get in, the roads are very narrow, so drive careful and slow. There is an office building that is in the middle area of the cemetery, in case you have some business arrangements to do. Today they had a Memorial Day service for all the Veterans. My family really appreciates them putting out all the white crosses and flags on the graves. We came to visit my grandparents this morning and it was wonderful to see my grandpa’s white cross and flag for supporting our country and being remembered for it! He was in the USARMY. Lately, we have been coming to the cemetery more often and were here recently on Mother’s day. The grounds are well kept and they do a good job keeping the place clean. It feels great to pay respects to loved ones and remembering them. As for parking, we usually try to park along side the highway closest to the entrance/exit side, so we don’t block any cars driving into or leaving the cemetery! There is enough space to park there and since we don’t stay too long, it works out fine getting back on the highway. There might be more parking in the way back area of the cemetery. All the pictures I took this morning are from Monday, May 25, 2015 Memorial Day. It was a beautiful experience to see all the American flags! This cemetery has many trees and a lot of shade, cool breeze area while walking around to where we needed to go. We already plan to come back on Father’s day and 4th of July, I am glad I have been able to come here with my family and share these visits together while remembering our loved ones who passed away many years ago.
