I will start by saying that I’m from California and the dentistry field there seems to be superior after visiting a few offices in the Portland/​Gresham area. My husband and I chose Willamette because a local friend said they were really good. However…
My husband managed to chip his tooth the first month we moved to a Oregon. They fixed his tooth asap no problem and then a month after that is when the professionalism of this office and its employees began to dwindle. In short, he chipped his tooth in May of 2014 and now it’s March of 2015 and we still haven’t got this claim resolved because monkeys are running the office I’m now sure. We have been back and forth with our insurance carrier and Willamette who both seem to be acting like a bunch of idiots when it comes to taking care of business. I mean how hard is it to do your job correctly?
Second, because this issue has been ongoing, we both had appointments to get our teeth cleaned sometime ago. We scheduled bright and early, back to back appointments because we have a newborn and nobody to watch him. My husband requested time off of work and everything was going accordingly until we get to the Gresham office and this idiot of a receptionist tells us that our insurance is not active. What!!! This is news to us! And if it wasn’t active why are you just now telling me? If it’s not active why did you see my husband a couple of months ago to get his chipped tooth repaired? Then this who ha is like, we won’t charge you a cancellation fee for having to cancel your appointments. In the back of my mind I’m like, you couldn’t charge me a cancellation fee if you tried.
And so are we out of the woods yet? No! After we got everything squared away with insurance and Willamette they wouldn’t even reschedule our cleanings because of the first claim not being resolved. In short, because they couldn’t do their job correctly we had to suffer for it. I think not! I simply switched offices and never looked back…
Oh yea, and they still haven’t got the first claim resolved; however, my teeth were cleaned by another dentist office so I am content…

I had a very pleasant experience in the gresham office. Dr. Thames extracted my wisdom teeth quickly and was very good about monitoring my comfort level. I left feeling totally aware of the procedure and follow up care and look forward to my next visit.
