Shari’s Restaurant

Shari’s has definitely gone downhill in the past few years. The food was okay, but for the money I could get a burger just as good at Burgerville. They’ve changed the menu, cutting everything back quite a bit especially breakfast. It’s a real bummer because that’s always been the reason I’ve gone there. The only real highlight was our server Zach, who was a delight.

Out of vegeburgers. I mentioned how inconsiderate it was to me, a lifelong vegetarian. They got irate and said I could have options like avocado and yelled at me as I was walking out.

Sadly that’s strike 2… Came in at 11. Ordered our food finally at almost 1130. Waited till noon for our food. It was a breakfast and a Chicken Cesar Salad. I got all the stems and pieces of the lettuce that your not even supposed to eat which was brown and nasty. When the plate was brought to me I couldn’t believe my eyes. It looked horrble, the chicken was old and cold and dry. And the server seen absolutely no problem with this? She actually brought this to the table? Any good server would never bring something like this to their customer. This is the second time this month I’ve waited here for and hour or more and received horrble food and questionable service.

The absolute WORST customer service experience in my entire life… what a smelly dump!

Came in a couple times and got good service and good food but im not picky. Last time i went the waitresses saw me waiting to be seated and continued to complete their tasks without greeting. It seemed liked there was so much action going but there wasnt even that much customers. I waited till they took the payment, gave out menus, and carried food out. Just as i thought this short curly haired girl was gonna seat me, she looked at me came to the register grabbed whatnot and just headed back to the kitchen. Totally snubbed me, and i walked out. I left a $ 5 tip for the waiter at denny’s that night. I dont think ill be coming back here…

When it comes to Anjeanette and Kirsten I always have a ⁵⁄₅ experience but I’d only give the overall store a ³⁄₅ because most of the time my food is late and my service is mediocre. I’ll be lucky if I’m only missing one thing but unfortunately it’s closer to 2 – 3. There’s a woman who works the nights, middle aged, average build, and she always has this angry look. She will be condescending and flat out rude sometimes. Maybe she doesn’t know she’s doing it but I feel like walking out every time I see her. I do enjoy a lot of the staff but there are a lot of mistakes made and way too frequently to give it any higher of a rating. I’ll re– review If the quality of my visits improves.

I have a Shari’s pie addiction problem! But seriously great pies, great service what’s not to love!

Only sat on hold to place an order to go for 20 minutes… that’s okay, there are 5 other restaurants nearby that do want my business.

Above average, was pleasantly surprised! I don’t expect too much from the American chains but I had a delicious spinach omelet and steel cut oatmeal breakfast.

Three out of four Christmas mornings we have had breakfast here. The same waitress greets us, takes our order and gets the food fright to us. We do get there early…7am so there are only a few tables of people but by the time we leave it is starting to fill up. The same waitress has been there for years… on Christmas morning… She could teach THE ART OF SERVICE and improve the whole industry. she even gave us Christmas hugs before we left. The food was good but not Great but I don’t expect more. The food was hot, fast, enough and nice looking.

It Stinks of old smoke and its not clean, just watch the help as they clean…
This location in Gresham is a SHAMBLE, smoke lingers in the air, hostess coming from the slot machines to seat us after a LONG wait.
The food was like eating at a TRUCK stop and we thought we were at a truck stop, the employees and management was off from what we expect at a Shari’s.
We live close by But will NOT go back to this one until its been totally cleaned up, from top to bottom, UNCLEAN, waiting on service way to long and the atmosphere was not at all a Shari’s!!!
We like the Shari’s chain, good food, great pies. This location doesn’t even keep a stock of their traditional pies… bring your own pie here… Disgusting place
Don’t waste your time at this location unless your one of the regulars that smoke and gamble. there are 2 others in this area that make dining a pleasure!!!

Usually love this place tonight I had the pot roast and there was so much brown gravy on it that it was all I could taste. Other than that the waitresses are always very nice and service is fast. Breakfast will be the only thing I order here from now on hahaha!

The only time I go to Shari’s is around 1 – 3 in the morning because it’s the only sit down place near my house after being out late. I love their loaded hash browns and loaded mash potatoes. If I could change about 2 things about the place is that if they could not keep the restaurant so cold, I’m always freezing in there. Also the waitress are horrible. They will seat you and give you water but wont check back with you for about 15 – 30 min and when we order the food takes forever to come out. Like I can be at Shari’s at 1 am and order a country fried steak and won’t get it till 50 mins later then eat and won’t get home till about 3 am. Needs more workers on weekend nights instead of 2 workers at least have 3 – 4

When we went here for breakfast and it took awhile for us to get our seats. The once we go your food ordered, it took a long time to get our food. Our food was cold so it makes me wonder how long it was sitting. I only sent my eggs back because I didn’t want to wait for all of my food. Our waitress did get me hot eggs and comped our drinks.

First of all the pudgy old guy at the register in the tie just looked at us as we came in. Then when we finally got a server over to take our order she came back and said they didn’t have the ingredients for some two of the items we ordered… this actually caused one of our party to go without. Finally when she did bring our order one of the items were wrong… great job guys.

Yes, I AM giving Shari’s a four star review, also! My friend and I stopped in for a late breakfast after a night out at Edgefield. The service from the second we walked through the door was excellent. We were greeted by a server behind the counter and then promptly seated at a booth by one of the friendliest hosts I’ve ever experienced… come to find out it was her first day! Impressed! Everything was great, but the topper on this experience was I ordered the banana cream pie and was approached by two servers at the same time to sadly inform me they were out of my first choice. I quickly went with my second choice of chocolate cream pie and they both seemed pleased they had that flavor and began to walk away. Quickly one of the ladies turned around and asked if I would like a sliced banana on top of my pie to make up for being out of the banana cream! And yes, I did want that and it was delicious! The same server, who wasn’t ever our server, poked her head out of the door on our exit to check on if I liked the banana on top of my pie! I manage a restaurant and I don’t care if you are in a steak house or a diner ~ great service is great service and it will always be appreciated by customers like myself! Thank you!

Yes, I AM giving Shari’s a four star review. Not because it’s some artisan’s masterpiece. It’s 24 hours, the food is always cooked well, the location is very clean, and the waitress we always get on a late night is a total gem (I believe her name is Christy). They are always quick to greet and seat us, and that particular waitress needed only to see us once to build a rapport with us and ever since then, she has greeted us with familiarity. It’s really nice to be able to have a consistent place to go to when we get out of work (we’re self employed and have to take very long drives out to Eastern Oregon/​Washington often that take about 9 hours and leave us with few dinner options upon our return) late. No, it’s not fancy. It’s a diner, but it’s a consistently good and friendly and clean diner. We’re never disappointed at this Sharis, and trust me we have been to a few bad Shari’s restaurants.

Average food way over priced.

This place has really improved. I used to go here 3 – 4 times a week in 2006 and 2007, then the service, the staff, and the food tanked.
Currently, the prices are a high, but the service — the icing on the cake– is really taking a turn for the better. I think they’re investing more in good people and friendliness. The food is getting somewhat better too. I go here maybe 1 – 2 times a month because I live in Beaverton, but my Dad likes it again, so it’s a fun place. The banana splits are AWESOME :)
