Ridicules charges

So i went in to the e.r. with excruciating pain in my lower abdomen. I checked in and let the nurse know my pain was ⁸⁄₉ and was in tears. There was about 3 other ppl in the waiting room. 2 people were called back wothing 20 min. And then 3 people walked in, one couple with a baby eith a cold, a lady eoth a sprained ankle, and another person with possibly the flu. Those people were checked in and called back right away. The other ppl waiting in the waiting room checked in and they said that they were in and out cases thats why they went first. 2 and a half hours go by and those people were finally called. 20 more minutes and i was finally called. I was definitely irrotated at this point. As much pain as i was in, i would have rather stayed in bed crying… However, my 5 stars is not for the e.r. or the unfriendly e.r. receptionist (terri). My 5 stars go to the amazing, caring staff memebers in the back. My e.r. nurse, Jenni, took some blood, urine and notes. Checked on my often and let me honestly know the dr was backed up. She couldnt give me pain meds until i had been evaluated by the dr. She checked back and could tell how much pain i was in, got the doc to come in for just a second and feel my belly and she came back with pain meds. She kept me comfortable while i waited a couple more hours for a c.t. scan, the dr and results. Found out i had appendicitis and some stones. They set me up with Dr. Starley at that point who was ready to give me surgery an hour later by 6:15. (i checked in at 11 am). After surgery i was put into a room where i was cared for by an amazing woman named Tina. She tried to keep me as comfortable as i could be and checked on me every 2 hours for vitals and pain meds/​tylonel. She told me to call her for anything at all and was very genuine. This was my first major surgery and I’m so glad that i picked legacy emanual. Aside from the bad e.r. experience, the staff has been the nicest ive met so far. And i used to be a NA so I’ve met plenty of hospital staff and spent. Lots of time in lots of hospitals. Thank you legacy. And a special thanks to Jenni, Dr. Starley and Tina!

Brought my daughter in who was having abdominal pain after an accident on the play ground last night and the doctor here was great and she checked everything. I’ve never had a problem at this hospital. We got in real quick also no waiting and not to long after we got here the doctor was in to see her.

We were visiting from California and my daughter was having extreme left sided jaw and posterior jaw pain as well as severe swelling and a rash, we had seen our primary care physician down in California and they sent her home with a diagnosis of TMJ, needless to say she continued with all the symptoms and no relief. five minutes into our visit here my daughter was already being triaged we were roomed within 15 minutes, and she was examined by Dr. Jump she proceeded to give my daughter one of the most thorough examinations I have ever witnessed and I am a registered nurse. The hospital was beautiful clean and well thought out I would have no problem recommending this hospital ever to anybody.

Had my hysterectomy on May 27^th. From pre op blood work and EKG to discharge on May 29^th the staff was wonderful. Every single nurse was amazing and thoughtful. I’m not the type of person to ask for anything but when I needed a cup of coffee at 2 in the morning, I got it :) So glad I chose this hospital for my procedure!

Total crap. I went there today with a massive migraine. Waited two hours out front and one in the back with the doctor. She ordered an IV with meds. Another half hour goes by, then he couldn’t get it in my vein. Left and said someone else would do it immediately. Waited another 40 minutes then walked out.
All the while with pain so bad I cried for half an hour in the lobby and had halos for hours. 4 and a half hours for nothing. Got home and took two Advils. Great.

Had my baby here at the birthing center nothing but positive energy I really like Tina the nurse she’s a sweetheart and really made us feel comfortable and at home

Care here is pretty darn inconsistent. One day they are nice and efficient and the next they act like you are the scum of Earth and barley help. Sorry but it is true. I have had to come in 3 times for breathing issues and always wait an extremely long time. Good thing I didn’t die in the ER. Well, not yet.

Went in for a colon screening and from the greetings at the front desk to the nurses and my dr everything went smooth and everyone was very friendly, helpful and did their job well

My daughter came in to the ER vomiting and with a lot of stomach pain. They diagnosed the problem in the ER and she was prepped and in surgery very quickly for a twisted colon.
She stayed 4 nights. During that time we stayed with her most of the time. We were pretty impressed with the care she received both from the night and the day nursing staff. The Dr and nursing staff were very professional and paid attention to all the details.
We had no idea what to expect from this experience. My daughter is on the mend with no infection or other complications and we are very grateful to the hospital and the Dr for their work.
My only real complaints were the rooms were tiny and the cream of chicken soup made us all nauseated.

This place is a complete joke. horrible care, extremely long wait for anything and everything EVEN WHEN ITS EMPTY. They have brand new nurses who dont even know how to open the drawers let alone do their jobs. it sucks this was the hospital i ended up coming to. im in extreme pain and they tried giving me medicine i told them made me sick. it caused me to vomit and cause more pain. the lack of care for a patient in pain is crazy. if there is anyway you can continue on to another hospital i would. I will not be returning unless it is a dire emergency. and even then im sure id be better off going a longer distance as the wait will be till im dead.

I have now had an experience with the hospital part and not just the ER and felt the need to lower my star rating and update the review.
I don’t understand why the «professionals» at this hospital got a job in the medical field if they weren’t interested in helping people.
Visiting my grandmother everyday, all day, for a week and I think I only got two real updates on her.
She would be ignored for hours, we’d have to beg the nurse for the day to give us an update on her condition, and we had one ridiculously rude nurse (Dennis) who argued with us and said he was «good at his job and cares about every patient and family» when we complained about him not checking on my grandmother or taking her daily stats until noon, then was passive aggressive with us for the rest of the day.
Oh and someone gave my grandmother boiling water for her tea and she burned herself and they never did anything about the burn. Now she’s afraid to drink tea. (That she’s been drinking everyday for 80 years)
Unless you are dying that second, drive into the city and go to a different hospital.

My mom was in ICU for several days. Her nurses were awesome and the doctor took great care in asking if she’d like to reverse her DNR order while she was still aware. She decided to stay on with us a little longer and for that, I’m very appreciative of the care she received while in their care.
While visiting, the medical team made sure we were properly gowned and gloved during visits. They were friendly and professional. They kept her alive and she’s happier now that she’s out and getting better.

A terrible hospital with a terrible reputation. Several times my father has been taken there and never diagnosed with anything and sent home, to later be told he had pnuemonia or blood clots in his lungs that they missed on the catscan. Staff is not friendly at all. Doesnt matter what floor you are one, they don’t even acknowledge you at any of the nurses stations, they all just ignore you. There are a couple nice nurses but a majority are tuned out or rude. ER is terrible as well, again you are placed in a room for hours with no one checking in on you. You try to get assistance and they look up at you as if your interupting them. I’ve been to this hospital a few times with this same result and will always go to Providence, since MT Hood doesnt compare to them. But what do you expect from a community hospital… A LOT MORE THEN THEY OFFER.

I would give this hospital no stars but Unilocal is nice enough to horrible establishments as such to give them a surviving chance. These people can have all the nice and new shiny floors, walls and tools, but they are handicapped when it comes to diagnosing a person. The rudest bunch of low life east side trash work here. They lie to your face, behind your back, to themselves, up and under, over and out. Don’t believe it? Just check up all the state complaints against this death hall. Do yourself a favor and travel a few miles further for care by someone with some creditable words.

Seen at the ER after a motor vehicle accident. Staff was FABULOUS! I was seen quickly, the facilities appeared clean and well maintained, and everything happened at a good pace– no waiting for hours on paperwork or X-​ray results! Hooray! Very happy with my experience!
