I’ve had massages by Colleen, Heather, and Richard. All three were wonderful! A sauna, massage, and foot detox all in one day is like a super spa treatment. Ahhhhh!

Epidavros has added acupuncture! I have had treatments by Cameron Li, LAc and he is fantastic. He is knowledgeable, congenial, and offers a variety of treatments not limited to traditional needle treatments. Also, they started a Community Acupuncture day where he offers very inexpensive treatments. I have also enjoyed yoga classes here. I appreciate their small class sizes and when I was pregnant the studio owner Tara was quick to respond to my queries about which classes might still be appropriate. The instructors offered modifications and support so I could continue to take classes even though they don’t offer specific pre-natal classes. I have found their service to be fantastic and their prices comparable to most yoga studios in the Portland Metro area.

Colleen Duncan, LMT, she is really strong and a great massage therapist, she rocks! She is also a great person, helping returning Combat Veterans like myself. She is the best, I would recommend her to anyone trying to get better, Veteran or not. Leo Sudnik(Veteran).

This place is cool. Sophia is a FANTASTIC teacher… In fact, she’s the best yoga teacher I’ve had in all my years. I enjoyed the Aerial yoga class very much. The center is welcoming, clean and charming.

Tara is fantastic! I have taken several of her aerial yoga classes and each time it is different. I would highly recommend this class to both new and experienced yogi’s. You will not be disappointed.

Living out in the East Portland hinterlands has left me in a bit of a fitness pickle. Do I drive 30 minutes through traffic to attend yoga downtown? Or do I go to the more conveniently located Gresham area? *suburbia sigh * Well, I usually choose the latter, and Epidavros has been a nice surprise. I purchased a Groupon a few months ago, which was a great deal, and their regular prices aren’t too bad either. The studio offers yoga, sauna sessions, and massage. Although I wish they had a few more medium/advanced class options(especially on the weekends), I’ve been pleased with the classes I’ve attended. There are never very many people there, especially at the noon sessions. You guys should check it out! The studio space is small(but intimate) with nice lighting. My only complaint is that the heater is REALLY loud. Every time it kicks on I can barely hear myself thinking, but at least it’s always a relief when it turns off! If you live in the area and you love yoga, check it out.

Has it been a year since I popped on in to stretch it all out and gather up some calm for this body? I was relieved to know it was not more time than that. The woman at the counter informed me so herself that it’s been barely a year since the studio has been open. They’ve added additional classes, including an aeriel(anti-gravity) one! All you have to do is get in a swing and go!

What a gorgeous and peaceful studio! I’m a group fitness instructor myself, so it’s very hard to turn off my critical eye when attending other classes. With Tara, I didn’t have to. The atmosphere was inviting and calm. She explained everything well and concisely. I was taking Aerial Yoga, which was a new technique for me, and she demonstrated all levels and abilities. I felt like I was rediscovering Yoga in a whole new way. It was thrilling to move my body in ways I’m not sure I ever have. Her conversational tone combined with her deep knowledge are so soothing! I can’t wait to go back for another class and learn more! I walked out feeling lighter and more flexible which says a lot, because as an instructor, I felt like I’d hit a few plateaus. Epidavros is truly an environment for everyone, beginners to advanced. Loved it!
