Always busy. Excellent service for dine in and to go. The owners are wonderful, hardworking people. Food is always excellent and a fair price. We eat here at least once a week because we know we will always have a positive experience. One of Greshams favorites!

This was hands down the worst sushi I have ever had. The rice was way to sweet and the fish not fresh. Not only is the food horrible but the service is the same. Not worth the time it took to get there and will never, ever, eat there again.

This was the worst sushi I have ever had. It smelt horrible, looked horrible, and tasted horrible. It was not even close to fresh. Normally I write long reviews, but I’ve got nothing else to say.

Small place. Busy. Great food. Prices are fair for what you get. Things are very fresh. Food is prepared by Japanese experts. Massive menu. Nice alcohol selection. Very popular with the locals for a good reason. Enjoy

Good and very interesting meals and there has a full sushi on the wood boats. It’s good for group or few people. Not just couple or less.

Been here twice, and the reviews are too generous. Food is subpar, even though everyone on here seems to think it’s good. Supposedly japanese owners? Only people I’ve seen are Koreans. Service was bad, interior is meh, sushi not that good, tempura was god awful. Welcome to Gresham’s favorite sushi place.

Super disappointing. This place has gone downhill since I used to frequent this place a year ago. My noodles were very limp… limp anything is gross. If you’ve ever dared to eat sushi from Safeway, you’d still think that was better than the three rolls we ordered here. I ended up eating a few bites and taking my fat ass home to wallow in pity and leftovers from the previous night. Save your tastebuds, skip this place.

Waited 15 minutes and my order was never taken. Food may be great but service is terrible.

This review is not based on taste. This review is about my take out experience. Don’t do it. It takes over an hour. I’ll let you know flavor in a while… Still waiting Flavor review– 2.4 stars. — I can’t determine how much of the bad flavor was due to the hangry wife at home. I would sit down and eat it fresh again.

This used to be my favorite sushi place, then a couple years ago they changed owners, I have been back a dozen times since at least. I can look past the unfriendly lady who waits on me, never have seen her smile to be honest, it’s like she hates being there, but whatever. .but now as I tried it again yesterday I was surprised to see the place was empty as I walked in. I ordered 3 of my favorite rolls that I’ve had their 100 times before. When I got my order I immediately noticed the size of the rolls are half of what they originally were, the devil roll had no little red eggs on top, no drizzle of spicy sauce and had a not so pleasant taste. The tuna roll was fresh tuna and was good but the tina was so thin I could read thru it. All in all not worth the 30 dollars for 3 rolls won’t be back for awhile thats for sure

Very satisfied with all the dishes we ordered! We got a bento, which had 4 pieces of sushi, grilled tuna, 6 pieces of sashimi, salad and tempura! We also got yakisoba which was too big for my brother to finish by himself, monkey brain and jalapeño poppers(appetizers but they were really filling! And very good!), aloha rolls(sooo good!!), katsu, and donburi(these were both really huge)! I would say all the dishes are huge and are so worth the prices! I would visit again soon:)

Great sushi! My buddies & I will go here once in awhile to pig out & we always leave happy. I don’t think there’s an item on the menu we haven’t tried yet & we’ll be back sooner than later. They got new owners a year back or so & have pretty much maintained the quality of food.

Not in a beautiful strip mall, but it’s the best fish and the best value/quality/quantity/creativity of sushi we’ve found anywhere. Seriously, anywhere. Huge pieces of gorgeous fish that are immaculately prepared and at the perfect temperature. Not too much sauce on anything. And the owners are on-site and beyond lovely. The service is ‘all business’ but that makes it possible to get in and out between kids soccer games. Love, love, love. Am shocked(but grateful) it’s way out here.

Our favorite sushi place was closed. I still needed my sushi fix. Here works. We got all of our usual suspects and were quite happy on the freshness, as well as the size. They have a pretty good selection of sake as well. I got the cold, dry organic sake and it went down pretty nicely so I ordered another one. It went well with their salmon skin hand rolls. The prices are real decent as well as their large menu full of sushi choices. Might have to start coming here more often.

I’ve been a faithful customer for 6 years and even drive all the way out here from Milwaukie just to enjoy my favorite sushi restaurant! I knew changes were coming when the new owners came. I love the new owners, though. They are much much friendlier! However, the rolls seem to be getting skimpier and less like their previous selves. The lion king roll is mostly the same, albeit less sauce. The spider roll has shrunk, although it’s still plentiful. The spicy plus roll has severely shrunk and there definitely wasn’t as much sauce as before. Listen, I love this place and I’m sad it’s changed like this. If the owners are reading this, please don’t change the rolls too much anymore! I don’t want to have to hunt for a new favorite sushi restaurant. Until I see the overall Star ratings go up, I’m not in too much of a hurry to go back :-(

The down side: The rolls we got had way too much mushy pasty mashed up fish in them that they kept in ziplock Tupperware at the bar which was pretty off putting. They also covered the sushi in sauce which made it even more mushy and the sizes were almost too big to put in your mouth. The service was awkward and unwelcoming. Sitting at the bar actually made me uncomfortable. I am use to friendly conversation or at least acknowledgement when sitting in front of the chefs. I think if I didn’t see the unappetizing fish in containers or them scooping rice out of an ice cooler(the kind you would take to the beach) that was sitting on a stool I would have been more into it. The plus side: my tempura was cooked to perfection and the chicken katsu was great. Anything we got that was fried was delicious. You could tell the fryer had very clean new oil. The spicy teriyaki was also very good and my sashimi and nigiri was decent enough.

This hole in the wall restaurant has some pretty good quality food. They have a large sushi selection, but if you’re in the mood for sushi rolls, this is the spot to be. I’m not a huge fan of rolls and prefer regular sushi, but they had a very large selection of roll options which made my dining experience exciting. This place has the largest selection of sushi rolls that I’ve come across, with unique and creative options. Order enough, and it all comes out on one large, fun wooden boat. The sushi tasted good too! I was pleased. I ended up ordering a couple rolls and some sushi, then shared a plate of yakisoba amongst my parents. Both my parents ordered the chicken bento. My father enjoyed it, while my mother didn’t like the chicken. I tried some and it was just okay. Seemed like low quality chicken. I recommend coming here and sharing some sushi with friends. The boat makes it fun and it’s some good fish!

This is my favorite place in Gresham. My partner and I bump heads sometimes between here and soy grill, but when I’m in the mood for delicious SUSHI, I come here. Sure, soy grill’s teriyaki is definitely my preference in that particular department, but I CRAVE Bento Plus sushi. It’s a three minute drive from our place, so the location, for us, is very convenient. The service is quick and good, and the prices are more than reasonable. I always load up on as much sushi as I can get. When we lived in Clackamas we’d go to Marine Polis Sushiland, which had great sushi but was always so busy. The sushi here, on the opposite end of the Portland metro area, is even a little bit better. It’s deliciously fresh and you’ll never get a bad piece. The salmon and tuna are divine. YUM! My partner orders the curry dishes and the teriyaki dishes, and her preference here lies with the curry dishes. We’ve brought friends in who have loved the teriyaki and the ramen bowls. For the price, you definitely can’t complain. They’re not pushy, they don’t rush you, and they’re not overtly sugary or kiss-ass in their temperament here. The feel you get is pretty much this: «You’re here for some delicious food? Oh, good! We make delicious food! Are you ready to order? Take your time, let me know if you need anything.» … They won’t constantly pop in to ask how you’re feeling about your food because they can read your countenance and take it for what it is– Satisfied customer. If you do need something, they’re very quick to oblige.
