Fun time! I purchased a groupon and waited until the last day to redeem. The owner was so helpful and they have everything you need to get your creative juices flowing!

I purchased two Groupons that were on the verge of expiration so I roped my fiancé into going to paint some pottery with me. I don’t have an artistic bone in my body, so this was more of something to do rather than «let’s create a masterpiece.» Under the terms of the Groupon, anything priced at or under $ 23 would be covered. Well, what do you know, everything was either way under or way over that amount. We both ended up with large mugs, which were $ 16.
I thought the studio fee, which covers paint, supplies and firing, a bit steep. It’s 50% of the cost of the item. Honestly, I’d rather the mug be priced at $ 24 instead of having to factor the studio fee in. I do believe that there is one night where they reduce the studio fee; their daily specials are listed on the website.
That being said, it was fun. I have a mug that looks like a 5-​year-​old painted it but, hey, it’s my mug. I saw a lot of families in there as well as groups of women. You can bring in snacks and drinks, which is nice. Painting pottery would be a fun way to catch up with friends while doing something constructive with your time.
