My first time at Vino Villa, and I will definitely be back! Went with a friend and we shared a bottle of wine. We weren’t intending to eat anything, but we were tempted by the chocolate cake and am glad we did get a piece! Also glad we only got one to share because WOW was it ginormous! Excellent service, no rush, a beautiful spring evening, it was wonderful. Will have to try some appetizers at least next time.

Great, friendly service. Unpretentious delicious food and wine, wonderful wine. If you haven’t been here, you should definitely try it. Summer nights on the patio are especially wonderful.

Food was delicious and service was great! It’s in an old house and they have seating on the second floor. We could sit wherever we wanted because they weren’t that busy on a weekday late afternoon. So we chose to sit upstairs by the window. We ordered the salad with raspberry vinaigrette wish was fresh and delicious! You have to try the Brie cheese appetizer it is so good! We both ordered the ham and cheese sandwich and it was good too. Not the best ham and cheese sandwich I have ever had but still good.

Sitting outside on the patio sipping Sangria at Vino Villa is a great way to celebrate our warmer weather. The service was prompt and the server pleasant.

Read some reviews. I was here last year at this time and cannot understand issue listed. Our food was cold then andNOT appetizing. The new chef has really cleaned up the menu and items WAY more consistent and interesting. I poked around and staff said it was more organized, but still have equipment needs. Wine selections and small plates great. Will be back soon

Vino Villa is a fun place if you bring the right crowd. In other words, it is what you make it. Food is fine, nothing to fill me up. But the wine selections are fantastic. I go for adventure and trying stuff that is typically out of my price range. Then I take a pic. Surprisingly, the good wines are priced the same at Vino Villa as they are at Payless which is just down the street.

It’s a fun place to go. The staff is friendly and professional. They have a huge selection of affordable wines. We love eating out on the patio. There sangria is sooo good! We drank a little more than normal and had no hint of a hangover the next day. I think their wine is pretty high quality. The food is ok and usually pretty tasty. They sometimes run out of things on their menu and their salads are very yummy but we’ve had a couple wilted out pieces.

The Vino Villa charges a $ 7.50 «bottle opening fee» if you buy a bottle of wine and drink it with a meal on site. I have spoken to the manager(s) and tried to explain to them why this fee bothers me. The managers’ line is simply that if you go to another restaurant you will find the wine doubled in price. This is true but not really relevant. If I go to a traditional restaurant I am going there for food. If I feel the wine is too expensive, I can decline to order it and still have a great meal. But when I go to the Vino Villa, wine is really the main event. The food is OK, but the food definitely complements the wine. Few people, if any, will go to V V for food alone. The problem is V V can’t sell their wine at restaurant prices, because they want to sell packaged wine too. Hence the«bottle opening fee» if you drink it at a table. V V’s backup argument is that the $ 7.50 covers the cost of «electricity and wait service.» But that is really covered by the gratuity and the bill. I asked if I can bring my own glasses and opener — of course not! V V needs to realize that charging a «bottle opening fee» is as bothersome to a customer as if Olive Garden charged a $ 7.50 «plate fee» for eating in the restaurant instead of getting takeout. As an aside: Mallow Run, another wine restaurant in Whiteland, does not charge a fee like V V does. V V management needs to realize that no investment pays off more than customer good will. If they dropped this fee, they would have more customers, sell more packaged wine and more food. A compromise might be to lower the fee to $ 2.50 per bottle, or drop the fee when the customer orders a meal. But forcing dining customers to pay a bottle opening fee(or any other extra charge by any other name) is heavey-handed, and makes me unable to recommend this otherwise decent establishment.

Vino Villa is one of the most interesting places on the southside, if not in all of Indianapolis. My family and I decided to stop here for a few drinks and snacks before a dinner reservation at another restaurant. While my mom and aunt and uncle had visited Vino a few times beforehand, I was a newbie to the place. Just my luck that I was the first person for our party to arrive and was unaware of parking/where to get the table. With reservations set ahead of time, I was promptly taken upstairs to part of the room-space [appears walls were replaced with hallways to make one continuous dining room with a back kitchen]. Our waitress was calm and pleasant and did not make me feel bad for my family running behind. I ordered a beer while waiting and she made sure to have menus spread out. Once everyone arrived, she gave everyone time to determine drinks and what small plates we’d share. One of my uncles is quite the wino, so she led him downstairs to the main area to pick out a bottle, explaining their corking rules beforehand. In all, it was some of the best service I’ve ever experienced in a restaurant I have heard many good things about their actual meals [saw a few interesting plated dinners near our area] and cannot wait to return to try them out for such!

Very disappointed. This is one of our favorite places in greenwood. But apparently they have changed chefs and you can really tell. Jill took great care of us but the food sucked. We are a group of regulars and this couple will not be back. Someone needs to Look into the changes in the kitchen. It would be a shame to lose this local favorite in greenwood. 9/17update: Rumor has it they canned the chef and they are regrouping in the kitchen. Let’s hope they can save this Greenwood favorite.

We are visiting from TN, and found this place on Unilocal! It was wonderful! We sat outside in the gazebo. Had some terrific wines. We shared the crab and shrimp soufflé and the smoked duck with figs. Amazing! The staff was very friendly. It is in a lovely, quaint area. We bought wine and treats in the gift shop. The whole experience was a treat! Highly recommend!

I attended a bridal shower at Vino Villa and it was my first visit. The villa is an old house that has been converted to shop, gathering place, with a patio and tons of charm. The bridal shower was help on the 3rd floor which contained a bar, a restroom, tables, chairs and a cushy seating area. For the bridal shower we were served ice tea, ice water, and two different Sangria’s all in pitchers. We were also served salad, fresh fruit, cheese and crackers and chicken salad sandwiches(small size). All of it was fantastic. I am a big fan of the chicken salad, it was simply delicious. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is casual with a touch of class. At the end of the bridal shower I had to check out the wine selections on my way out. They have a good selection, displayed well and the wonderful cheeses, desserts and so forth are available for purchase. I had problem driven by this business a dozen times and never noticed it, which is amazing given they have a lovely, good sized, clearly visible sign out front. I will be back for a visit.

We have been here many times but this is the first time up to the 3rd floor bar area, quaint, tastefully aged winery feel, old school tin ceiling and a bar that will hold about 12 guests. There are several individual tables and a couple nooks you could tuck yourself into. The second floor has several rooms with assorted seating(comfy couches and cushy chairs) all available for private parties, what a great idea. The food has an assorted selection of cheeses and meat plates, small salad and sandwich section also other appetizers and pizzas. All items are tastefully prepared and using quality ingredients. The first level is a wine shop hand selected by the establishment and I’m sure all have been personally tasted to make sure they meet the high standards to be proudly sold and displayed with care and love. You will also find a small selection of cheeses to pick from available for to go along with your bottle or two. Should you decide to dine here inside or out on the popular patio, you will be in for a nice relaxing time. The there is a corking fee of $ 7.50 for each bottle you drink on site. What you need to do, find a parking spot in the small parking lot or something along the street and browse the selection of wines, then check in for a table or head up to the 3rd floor to the bar and they will take care of the rest. This is truly a hidden gem on the Southside.

Visited last night and was really impressed. There was a wine tasting on the third floor, so we were able to sample about 6 different wines with our dinner. The food was delicious and the wait staff was friendly and just the right level of attentive. Even though I don’t get to the southside often, I will be returning when the weather gets nicer to sit on the patio!

This business should keep downtown Greenwood on the map. It’s actually located a few blocks from downtiwn Greenwood on Madison Avenue. It’s super easy to find and get to as well. It’s situated in a district full of super charming, well kept and huge older Victirian style homes that also house various different businesses. The place has many levels or floors, each with a super cool atmosphere and ambiance. The service and food are very good. There are wine choices for every occasion. It’s a perfect place to kick back and have some great conversation with some friends, or it’s also perfect for date night or any other intimate connection/situation. The outdoor patio is a very nice touch. Sometimes they will feature some low key live music acts that enhance the already awesome setting. This business model/concept is just so cool, I wish I would have thought of it! I love the house so much, as they have preserved, renovated and decorated it beautifully. It’s so cool that I wish I could own or live in one just like it! ;o)

Favorite place on the south side. Love how they’ve turned an big old historic home into a cozy spot for snacks and vino. You may get lucky and snuggle into a loveseat or one of their other variety of cool seating set-ups. Getting a few small plates and a bottle of wine is the way to go! Pizzas are nice and they’ve got cheeses and wines in the deli case downstairs. Haven’t had a bad dessert, though love the Bomba the best(spumoni ice cream ball covered in chocolate). Super friendly staff and they take reservations(which you are likely to need on a weekend)

Delightful upscale dining in Greenwood! Worth the drive from Fishers and meeting my Southside friends topped this beautiful night! Sara our server, ask for her! Like her, looking to love her(will let you know)! Small plate beets OMG yum yum! Cauliflower whatever you call it is getting great raves! Fresh forks is a plus! I had a mushroom something that will make me come back for more! Cotten Candy for dessert REALLY yes really. Fun time! Only negative they pour a small glass of wine and martinis are way too small
