I have gone to this business for over 3 years. I have never had a bad experience. The soft tissue massage at my chiropractor is so intense I take 2 pain pills before I go so when people complain about this I am surprised. If you tell them when you set the appt. that you want a gentle touch they absolutely will make that happen. I have been in there when motocyclists come in for a massage after a long ride and these muscular guys need a more strenuous massage. If you would read up on accupressure and look at the certifications on the wall you would recognize that everyone of these employees are well trained and knowledgeable. When my children were small and had chronic ear infections I learned the accupressure points and never had to give them another antibiotic or have tubes surgically inserted. Since I have had this inexpensive therapy the osteoarthritis in my neck is amazingly better and my immunity has improved. We have made this a family tradition… whatever holiday or birthday we are celebrating we all go together for a Chinese foot massage. My son was in China for a year teaching at a university and this was his most favorite activity. Where he was in China they soak your feet in tea and you can drink beer. An added bonus is it is in the same plaza as Selective Seconds! So if you have time before your appt stop in there for great bargains!

I was recently referred to Foot Fitness by one of my doctors after I complained about tension in my neck and shoulders. Unlike the name implies, this place isn’t just about feet. For 20 dollars, you can get a full hour chair massage that includes work on your back, neck, shoulders, legs, and, of course, feet. You start off by sitting on an ottoman with your feet soaking in a bucket of water. While you sit, they work on your neck and shoulders and back, rubbing away. It’s a pretty intense massage, actually. In fact, My husband and I went together, and he has a low tolerance for pain… so he was often wincing while they worked on him.(I’m a great wife, of course, and laughed each time this happened.) The back/neck/shoulders part of the massage lasts about half an hour. Then you move to a large, comfy reclining chair. It’s at this point that they begin the leg and foot massage. Equally intense, they do some things that are a little bit painful for those with a low pain tolerance. They work on pressure points and squeeze and pinch here and there to relieve tension. Like I said, this massage lasts for and entire hour and only costs $ 20. So even with a rather large tip, you’re getting an incredible value. The place is relaxing, quiet, and features low lighting. There were times during the foot massage when I certainly could have fallen asleep. They also welcome walk-ins. It’s in a bit of a shady shopping center(right down the row from the porn store, and The Four Seasons restaurant), but don’t let that be a deterrent. They are very professional and very good at what they do. For 20 dollars for an hour, it’s definitely worth a try. Doctor’s orders.
