The food is good but it took a little while for all the food to be brought out, one by one the drinks came out then the food. The soda tastes different then normal. I suggest that you go there just don’t go in the evening that’s when the place is BUSY!

Went there for dinner with 7 people. We were seated at 6. We were there until 7:25 because it took so long to get the meals. One person ordered a salad and it came about 20 minutes after the last hot meal. It was the wrong salad. Another meal was incorrect. So was a third. A fourth got cold fries. She asked for new fries and they never came. I got a BBQ sandwich, which didn’t have BBQ sauce on it. They adjusted a couple of bills, still charging, but at a lower rate. We got appetizer discount cards, but I know I’ll never use mine. I would give it 0 stars if that was an option.

Such a great addition to the Indy area! Love the atmosphere. I’ve sat at the bar several times when the outside of the restaurant is busy, and the bartenders have always been quick and attentive, even when the bar rail is full. You HAVE to try the strawberry lemonade sangria… its to die for!

Service was friendly but forgetful. The sesame chicken lettuce wrap was too salty and my brisket sliders were barely warm. The tots were good though. Server forgot my ketchup and water refill, also had to ask another server for our check. Maybe giving this another chance in the near future.

Love this bar especially on Thursday night. ½ price bottle of wine and cheap appetizers. Great atmosphere and it’s awesome when they open the big overhead door.

What a great location & layout for Bar Louie. I’d been to the Evansville one a few years prior with few memories of it except being dark & dreary and a limited food & drink menu. This was definitely different! My family set up a reservation for ~20 people on a Friday night. I’m thankful that they put us in the bar area with tall tables so we could sit/stand and chit chat! Since it was a nice night the garage doors were open– a little underutilized though as the sun came down and it became difficult to see people whose backs were against the sun. We had a tag-team of 2 servers taking care of us, which made service all the difference! Once the majority of us arrived, they quickly got out waters all-around and took drink orders. They carry a lot of local beers which is what I was craving, since Sun King doesn’t exist in Arizona [sad face]. None of us had to wait long on those, or really anything all night. Our group ordered food/dinner at various times since a few had leave before the gathering was over with prior commitments. All of our food though came out with no issues! As an aside, I had totally forgotten to order food until about 15 – 20 minutes after everyone else [just chatting away!] and the girl gave me a few of her favorites. I ended up selecting the Voodoo Chicken which was good, just a very, very saucy dish for me. I loved the sauce and flavors, but it was a little too much, a little too salty for me.

My husband and I went for dinner after reading the awesome reviews on Unilocal. We were taken to the back and were sat at a booth which was fine. Then we had a server come up to take our drinks order, she seemed a bit unfriendly but we didn’t mind too much. We ordered a buffalo chicken flatbread, chicken tortilla soup and chicken tacos. Buffalo chicken flatbread had too much ranch drizzled on top and the chicken was really dry– hard to chew. The tortilla soup was ok but again the chicken was super dry Chicken tacos– the tortillas were under a huge skillet of lettuce topped with dried out chicken for one taco. The beans and the salsa was ok-ish. Rice were basically raw. Server never really asked if the food was ok until after we had paid and she came to return the receipt to us at which point she asked my husband if he wanted a refill on his Coca Cola. We just looked at each other and left. Wouldn’t be going back.

The service is still wonderful. The burgers and fries are still great. The appetizers are very good. The sauces are very good. If you like beer make sure you ask your server for the extended beer list because there are 70 beers on tap. I would also recommend that if you are not big on spicy cheese queso and veggies on your fries then do not order them loaded.

Comfortable feel to this place! Enjoy the large bartop! Something for everyone, TVs with games but you can still enjoy conversation and not be distracted. About 30 taps with some fun microbrews, fresh juice martini list! Salmon sliders are killer! Sounds a little odd but trust. Verde chicken flatbread was comforting and delcious. Overall a great experience, I would definetly come here again over cheesecake factory or BJs next door.

Did I go to the same place as everyone else? The food is so mediocre. The service is terrible– tried to sit at the bar but literally every seat was dirty and the bartender couldn’t find the time to clean because she was too busy trying to pick up some dude at the bar. The only good thing about this place is when everything closes in greenwood this is still open– so far the beer has been ok.

Had lunch today with a friend and we were very pleased with the food and service. Tried the nachos and we could only eat half of our entrees because the appetizer was so filling!

Heard a lot about this place and decided to try it on a Sunday evening. Not too crowded, but the service for both food and alcohol was very slow. Our waiter also kept calling the spinach & artichoke dip«spin dip». That was a new one. Had the chips and dip and the brisket sliders… all good, but still not seeing why people rave about his place.

Very happy and pleased to see a Bar Louie in Greenwood. I’d go to the one in the South Loop in Chicago when I lived there. The size of the restaurant and bar area are very nice in size. It’s not cramped like at some places. The atmosphere is fabulous. They had a happy medium between sports on the TVs and then it turned into music videos after a certain time. The food and drinks are fabulous. They have a wide variety of both drinks(cocktails, beer, wine & nonalcoholic) and food. There is something for everyone. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Some of the bartenders were not as attentive as they could have been. At first I figured it was just busy but I noticed they were standing around talking a few times. Honestly that was my only complaint and it’s not even that big of a deal. I look forward to going back. I’ve been looking for a new place to get drinks when I’m in town and I couldn’t be happier that it’s Bar Louie. Oh my only suggestion would be outdoor seating in the warmer months.

The space, previously a Bravo, was totally gutted and rebuilt. The décor is nice and they have a huge horseshoe-shaped bar, the best kind. Only open for 10 days, there was not much of a lunchtime crowd, but we were there just after 11 am. Our server Megan did a great job. Attentive but not obtrusive. The menu does not have many vegetarian items, although there is a portobello sandwich, but I am over portobello. Not their fault. My wife had 10 naked Chicken Wings($ 11.25?), which she found a little dry. Our third person had the California Chicken Sandwich with Tater Tots, lots of them. I had the Veggie Wrap and Broccoli, which I liked. All-in-all, we will return. We look forward to the outside seating when they also will open three garage doors leading outside. After 10 pm is 21 and over.

Great food, fun atmosphere, bar is legit. Great addition to GPM! We had appetizers(stellar), bloody Mary’s(very good), beer and sandwiches for lunch while watching the Colts game. Love the number of TVs to watch the game, but wasn’t overwhelmed or thinking we were at any other typical spots bar. The only criticism for opening weekend is that our waitress wasn’t completely knowledgable about the beers they have on tap. They have a gazillion, including LOTS of local beers to choose from. Can’t wait to go back!
