I, like most people, am absolutely terrified of going to the dentist. It just isn’t a pleasant experience, and it doesn’t help that a lot of doctors can be… well… judgmental. Thankfully, I discovered a dentist that not only does good work, but is compassionate, kind and just all out great. A few years ago I had a raging toothache. I made an appointment and doused myself in ibuprofen. Well, my appointment was still three days away and I just couldn’t take it, so I called and asked if I could change my appointment to something sooner. The incredibly sweet lady at the front desk was able to push my appointment to that same afternoon. When I arrived I was expecting a lecture since, well, to be frank, given that even blinking caused pain my mouth, my regular oral hygiene practices had slipped a bit. The doctor seemed to understand, and didn’t harass me one bit. Instead, he focused on the problem at hand, gave me all my options for dealing with it – plus prices — and handled it promptly. That day I got a partial root canal. Skip to last Tuesday, I made an appointment to finish up what I’d started, and still, the staff was impossibly kind, the doctor did not give me a hard time, and provided me ample information on all of my options. Though I’ve since moved an hour and half away from Wickenburg, I can’t help but feel like I would definitely go out of my way to come back to this clinic whenever I need any dental work. Both of my visits to Troy Jones were spectacular, and I would absolutely recommend him — whether you’re one of the brave few, or as much a wimp as I am.
