I ordered the pad thai medium heat(medium, hot and extra hot are the only options) with chicken. I like spicy but was unsure spicy their hot or extra hot would be). No spiciness at all. The flavor was kind of just fish sauce. The noodles were thinner than average and mushy. The bean sprouts we at the bottom of the noodle pile and got mushy as well. I can say the size of the dinner portion was good and the service was fast. I called the order in and it was ready in under 10 minutes.

I ordered the Pad Kee Mao(drunken noodles) and the noodles were literally like mush. A lot of reviews said this was a good choice but my experience was terrible.

First impressions it’s a hole in the wall place. But the food is amazing! I’m here in Christmas Eve with my brother and I think I found my new Thai spot! Yes the inside is old and collective but it’s has this charm about it… Tom Kha was to die for!!! I will def be back asap!!!

I’ve been over a dozen times and would go at least once a week if I still lived around there. Really stellar Pad Thai and Egg rolls. I’ve also had the Drunken Noodles which were excellent. Never brought a friend who didn’t love this place either. From what I’ve heard the owner(very nice, warm man) say they have alot of options for spicyness beyond what’s on the menu. I imagine those more masochistic than me will find what they are looking for. The atmosphere of the little place is great too. Some kitschy knick knacks and quiet ambient music. No TVs or noisy radio stuff. A really intimate experience.

Good food, but the owner is MENTALLYUNSTABLE. Ordered take-out from there about 1.5 years ago(tofu red curry) — came home only to find a piece of beef in the curry. The owner didn’t believe me and said if i came back with the curry and showed him the beef, he would make me a new one. So whatever, I drove 15 minutes back over there to get another. Horrible customer service, but I dealt with it. Tonight, I ordered TWO tofu red curries for take-out, got home and they were both green curries. I called and he said if i brought them back, he would make me a new one. I asked if I could just get a refund because I couldn’t drive back. He said that’s not possible. When i told him it’s unreasonable to expect me to spend 30 minutes driving there/back because of a mistake they made, he said he would refund only one of them, but definitely not both. Again, I told him that makes no sense — they gave us two incorrect entrees I don’t want to pay for either. He then said he would refund both of them if I could guarantee we wouldn’t eat either of the green curries. I asked what difference it makes to him and he started yelling at me «Oh, so you have NEVER made a mistake in your life, EVER?» Sure I have, but if you are a restaurant with good customer service, you don’t make people pay for food they didn’t order. He starts yelling again about have I never made a mistake, and is it a written law that restaurants have to do that, etc. This guy is completely off his rocker. Then he said he’d make two red curries and drop them off at my house if we gave him the green ones back. I hesitated to agree to this, because quite frankly, I don’t trust this man and didn’t trust that they wouldn’t tamper with the food. He did in fact drop off the red curries, and my husband rehashed the prior incident where there was beef in the vegan curry — he mockingly said to my husband«Like beef will kill you…» I don’t care how good the food is, nothing is worth being treated so poorly. I honestly wasn’t rude to him, I just don’t think asking people to come back and prove that the restaurant made a mistake is a reasonable way to handle things. I will never go back there again, I will never recommend it to anyone. If it ever comes up in a conversation, I will gladly tell how horrible their service is. Oddly enough, I was hesitant to ask for a refund because I thought he was nice guy!!! Boy, was I wrong!!!

Great food if they can get your order right. Horrible customer service when they screw it up. We will never support them again as 2 times is enough when the manager/owner won’t correct his mistakes and we’re supposed to just eat what his chef makes even when it’s completely wrong. He even said, «No refund… You don’t make mistakes?»

I really enjoyed my experience at Thai Lotus. The gentleman who served us. who I think is the owner as well. is SO nice :) My boyfriend and I had the pad thai, pad see ew, and crab cheese wontons. They were all delicious! The Pad Thai was full of flavor just the way I like it. We had the spicy level as «hot» and it wasn’t bad… if you like spicy things, you can definitely handle«hot». It’s a small restaurant in the heart of DTC and definitely a must visit! I will definitely come back to try other things on the menu. I want to come with a bunch of people so that I can have pad thai, pad see ew, AND try new things hehe.

Been going to Thai Lotus for a few years now, as its in my neighborhood. This is possibly the best Thai food I’ve had in the States. The Tom Kha soup is absolutely amazing. The Madres vegetables are the best I have had. It’s in a strip mall and the décor isn’t anything to rush out and see. But it’s always been clean and the owner is very friendly and the food is amazing. I would recommend this place to anybody… hands down.

Great flavor, nice spicy I thought the portion for dinner take out was small. Overall it’s ok based on that. I had the Thai basil.

Ordered the lunch special for pick up through Unilocal today. When I went to pick up, was told I owed $ 1.08 on top of what I already paid because I selected thai iced tea, which was fine. I proceeded to give the card that I paid with to the gentleman at the front desk. He told me he wasn’t going to run a card for that amount and I had to pay with cash. After fumbling around for change in my car, I went back to get my food. He pointed at a table with two bags and said that was my order. Not sure what was what, I started to pick up both bags. He then yelled at me and told me only the one bag was mine. Unnecessarily rude! Now onto the food. The Thai iced tea was so sweet it was not drinkable. The green curry was watery and disappointing. The only reason I am giving a star is because the egg roll was good. Will not be coming back here again when there are plenty of other choices for Thai food in the area.

Best Tai food I’ve ever had. Amazing flavor and great vegetarian options. So delicious. I’ve had a lot of different Tai food but this is by far my favorite. The veggie egg rolls are to die for. Try a Tai sweet tea too they’re delicious. Prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is great!

Thai Lotus — the best Thai food in Denver. I always eat in the restaurant rather than get carry out. The owner is(usually) the cook. The food is packed with flavor. Add some fish sauce with hot peppers if things are on the mild side for you. It’s reasonably priced and in a strip mall. Good stuff.

Typical Thai dishes. Been going here for years for great service and homemade taste. Staying with the usual Pad See Ew

This place is OK, I’m not sure they deserve the 1 – 2 star reviews but certainly no higher than 3, it is by no means good thai food but I’ve had much worse. The pad thai was pretty bad but I’d say the Tom Ka soup probably saved them from a total fail. If you’re short on options or just plain hungry and you need to eat you could probably do worse than this place but I wouldn’t exactly recommend it.

It’s snowy and cold out and I didn’t want to have my cold leftovers so I made an executive decision to order pad thai for lunch. Not wanting to deal with the lunch rush, I didn’t go to my favorite place and did a search for other Thai places in DTC. Then I remembered Thai Lotus, It’s been a year and half since I originally came here and now I remember why. My food was ready in 10 minutes-simple order-chicken pad thai medium spice. But I guess the signature dish doesn’t qualify for the lunch special with a drink and eggroll it has advertised when you walk in. Almost $ 10 later, here I am eating pad thai at my desk and unimpressed. It had zero spice and was sweeter than I’m used to. It’s enough for 2 lunches which is nice but I hope it gets better as it sits… and maybe one day they will actually offer take out specials for lunch.

The hammer and I came here for a quick bite before going to a movie. We got the Drunken Noodles with chicken and the Pad Thai with tofu and were both very happy with the dishes. We were the only people in the place when we arrived Friday evening around 5:30 and I know they cook the noodles to order because after we put our orders in the place filled with the sound of sizzling skillets and a wonderful aroma of spices. The plates came piled high and were just what we wanted. I’m gun shy about ordering spicy at Thai restaurants since I have gotten«Thai spicy» dishes before that I have… distress because of after but I think you will be safe here. We both ordered medium and they were a bit spicy but we could have easily handled that hot. I got the Pad Thai with Tofu and it was great. The Tofu had the texture I really like, there were plenty of big pieces and lots of great noodles. I hope to come back again.

I happened to be in the area and stopped by for lunch. They were located on S Yosemite St/E Belleview Ave in Greenwood Village. They aren’t a fancy place. There were 11 – 12 mismatched tables in a narrow dark space. The 2 tables for 4 people near the window were nice, but most of the tables were set for 1 – 2 people. They offer a Lunch Special for $ 8.95. There were 6 entrees to choose from. The Lunch Special offered salad or fried egg roll and a drink with one refill. I ordered the Green Curry with Chicken Thai Hot Lunch Special. A 5″ Vegetable Egg Roll with sauce was brought out on a plate. It was freshly fried and hot. The steamed rice was served on a small plate in the shape of a star. It was very pretty. The Green Curry with Chicken was watery with a skimpy amount of chicken. It also had matchstick bamboo shoots, overcooked Japanese eggplant slices, green beans, red and green bell pepper, and Thai basil. If you like your curry Thai Hot, this place makes it Thai Hot. Service was minimal. I did get my free refill of soda without asking. There were 2 other parties and a Take out order while I was having lunch. I would rather pay a little more and go around the corner to S Ulster St/E Belleview Ave for great Thai food.

Ok Unilocalers, you didn’t fail me but I wouldn’t say this is somewhere I’ll go back to. I had searched Unilocal for pad thai in DTC, this was second highest rated but reviews seemed to highlight the pad thai so off I went with a friend. The pad thai was ok. Medium spice had no spice, overall flavor was pretty one note. It was a little sweeter than I’d have liked, but the chicken was fine and it was a generous portion size. I had the lunch special($ 8.95) which included an egg roll(I avoided the salad based on other reviews) and it was ok, an egg roll. Hot and fresh from the fryer at least. Server was a very sweet younger guy. We were the only ones there so he was very attentive filling drinks and checking that our food was ok. There are only 8 – 10 tables in the place but by the time we left a little after noon it seemed a few more people were coming in– we were there pretty early. Parking lot looks like it fills up pretty quickly as there are a couple other restaurants in the strip. Overall a decent meal in a decent place. There are a few other Thai places around I want to try before I come back. Give it a try if you’re in the area though!
