McArdle’s Florist & Garden Center

Stopped at McArdle’s to pick up some V day flowers. Beatrice assisted me upon my arrival. She was patient, knowledgeable, and full of recommendations. She helped me build an amazing bouquet that my wife loved. I joined their Frequent Flower Club and they are now my go to florist. !!!

I had an issue with a Christmas tree that I purchased here this year but was pleasantly surprised with the excellent customer service and willingness to resolve the issue.
When we were purchasing the tree and even afterwards when there was an issue the staff was so friendly and helpful. It is a welcoming shop that certainly makes you want to go back there.

Long distance call in to a family living in Greenwich. I had a very specific request and timing and McArdle’s pulled it off with ease. Great work and cooperation.

Ordered roses for Mother’s Day 2015. Not only delivered on time, but the 18 roses were beautiful, displayed nicely with greenery and little purple flowers, and in a tall vase. My wife loved them. Very pleased.

AWFUL. I have received flowers from McArdles on numerous occasions and for that reason, I will NEVER place an order with them. I received flowers from McArdles as recently as Monday of this week. It is now Wednesday, and the flowers are wilted and dead. I take care of flowers I receive — I change the water daily, etc. The flowers sent were obviously not fresh when the arrangement was prepared. I contacted McArdles and they were very nice, offering to replace the arrangement. I have yet to receive anything from them, but this should not happen. Every time I have received an arrangement from McArdles I have had to call about the condition of the flowers. There are other florists in Greenwich which do a much better job — Winston Flowers (my favorite), Greenwich Orchids (which does more than Orchids) and Tulips of Greenwich. All do a fabulous job. I would be embarrassed to send someone an arrangement from McArdles knowing how it will look two days after arriving. It is as if they use old flowers in their arrangements knowing the sender will not see them.
As an update, McArdles delivered a new arrangement to me today. This time the flowers were much fresher, the arrangement is lovely, and the delivery man was very apologetic. I sent the dead flowers back with the delivery man. Hopefully they will determine who let an arrangement leave in that condition in the first place, and make sure it doesn’t happen again. The fact that they would deliver an arrangement in the condition of the one I received yesterday solidifies my reason for never using them, but at least they made it right. And to think — I felt bad about calling them about the dead flowers! Ridiculous!

Great for ordering flowers and very nice community location.
I have enjoyed working with them on the phone and their flowers are great /​fresh. I also appreciate that they contribute to the community by for example bringing in live Elk around Christmas time.

Received a floral gift from my daughter for my Birthday. It was wilted and dying by the next day. Emailed McArdles as I did not want to tell my daughter, but not even a response. Feel really badly for my daughter as it was most likely expensive for her.

Sent a bouquet to my sister in law for her 50^th Birthday. I wanted something special and after reviewing arrangements on other local websites, found McArdle’s. The creative designs far exceeded the other florists that offered more average ‘FTD’ types of arrangements. The girl I placed the order with was very nice and helpful. I even added some gourmet bacon chocolate bars to the order, because I knew she liked them. My sister in law called to say she loved the bouquet, and knew McArdle’s from growing up in the area. Definitely would recommend.

Got our Christmas tree at McArdle’s (along with decorations for our home and a beautiful Christmas tree ornament). Best part was taking our 5 year old there before Christmas to visit Santa (very realisitc, great photos) and the live reindeer outside! McArdle’s is a magical place. Highly recommended!
