Gofer Ice Cream

Came for ice cream. Left with ice cream. Reliable place for a late night craving, the ice cream was good and milkshake was great. The kid was a jets fan as well so that adds to the rating.

Ehhhh. Peanut butter sauce sucks. This place is just OK.

How can ice cream suck? Gofer Ice Cream managed to accomplish this with ease (sorry to be blunt) !! After living in Stamford for almost a year now I had been to Dairy Queen and Cold Stone, and due to lack of advertising and random location (s) I had never heard of Gofer… I randomly noticed it back in the winter… when ice cream is not appealing, and made a mental note to try it out… went tonight and got a small cake batter on a cone, and it was awful! It was so sugary, and there was blue stuff in it (from the its neighboring ice cream??? or did they do this on purpose) anyway I had a few bites of it and threw it away… my bf got a brownie mix thing, who knows its was over priced and the brownie had no flavor… there is MORE then one location of this place? how is that possible??? how do they have customers, sigh anyway its just ice cream-​I guess my passion is from utter shock that someone could screw up ice cream, however the employees were very nice!

We came here just because the title of the place, and Dave has some initiative to start answering his phone saying GOFERICECREAM. YeahIdunno. $ 10 got us two medium dishes of ice cream with one topping. He with his trick or treat flavor (orange and vanilla, with swirls of fudge topped with ‘autumnal toned shots’) and me with my pumpkin ice cream and heath bar crumblys. Both were decent, portions large and the girl running the counter kept singing Sean Paul until what seemed to be her manager came out and changed the Sirius radio channel. The room is lined with a Gofer Ice Cream wallpaper border of, you guessed it, a gopher with an ice cream cone. Such effective marketing.

Gofer is a mediocre ice cream shop. They’re often out of popular drinks like smoothies and freezes. Their ice cream is also mediocre. To add insult to injury, Gofer’s prices are sky high. If you absolutely must go to Gofer, stick to their Ciao Bella Gelato; it’s one of the only good choices they’ve made.
